Chapter 405

~10 min read 1,905 words

After saying this, Ron threw a heavy punch at the Homeless Emperor first. With so much power behind it, the Homeless Emperor was only shaken a couple of times by the blow.

Seeing that he didn't react much, Ron couldn't help but think to himself: Hey, he can actually take a punch from me—now that's rare.

The heroes on the field watching this scene were all worried about Ron; they were afraid this strange man might play some kind of trick.

Ron used his speed to launch a rapid all-out attack on him, yet the man still managed to remain completely unscathed.

This time it was the Homeless Emperor's turn to look smug; he could already sense that Ron was no match for him.

Unfortunately, his feeling was wrong. Although Ron was currently in a relatively unfavorable position, Ron's power was beyond what an ordinary person could imagine.

The Homeless Emperor seized this opportunity and gently began to wave his fingers. He was preparing to use his own special ability.

In an instant, countless small orbs of light appeared, locked onto Ron, and desperately chased after him.

These light orbs were already quite fast, but compared to Ron's speed, they really did fall short by a bit.

Ron dodged quickly, successfully evading many of the light orbs, and those orbs, having failed to catch him, smashed into some of the walls behind him.

The light orbs exploded directly, blasting those walls to pieces.

Ron let out a cold laugh and said softly: "My turn!" With that, he threw a punch flying toward the Homeless Emperor.

The two were locked in a stalemate for a long time; the Homeless Emperor had already used his ultimate move, yet still no winner could be decided.

Seeing that he had no other moves left, Ron stopped wasting time and prepared to truly start exerting his strength.

A few meters away from the Homeless Emperor, Ron threw a punch, and the ground split open, rushing toward the Homeless Emperor.

This fissure looked like an abyss of ten thousand fathoms—falling into it would mean certain death.

The Homeless Emperor dodged quickly, but the fissure was as if it had eyes—wherever he dodged, the crack followed.

All the heroes stared wide-eyed at such an exciting yet thrilling scene unfolding before them.

Seeing that the Homeless Emperor looked like he was about to dodge, Ron threw another punch, and this time all the fissures completely surrounded him.

In an instant, the Homeless Emperor was sucked into the crack, and the ground immediately returned to its original state, as if nothing had ever happened.

Fubuki quickly rushed over and stood beside Ron, asking: "Is he dead?"

"I don't know—he got sucked into the crack, I have no idea either!" Ron said with a look that suggested it was perfectly natural not to know.

Fubuki pressed further: "Huh? The crack is yours, and you don't know???"

Ron shook his head. Although the crack was his, he had never actually been inside it, so he didn't know what it looked like in there.

At this moment, the world finally quieted down. None of the Monster Association's members dared to make a sound, because their people were either dead or crippled—no one left who could fight the heroes.

Even so, many people in the Hero Association knew that King Orochi and Garou were absolutely not dead, so they still couldn't let their guard down.

Banggu was also quite puzzled, so he stepped forward and asked: "King Orochi and Garou just vanished like that—they're bound to come back."

"From the looks of it, King Orochi wanted to devour Garou, but Garou is by no means weak either. Trying to devour him might just backfire." Ron said, as if answering Banggu, yet also as if talking to himself.

Just at that moment, the ground burst open, and the Homeless Emperor actually wasn't dead—moreover, he didn't seem to be seriously injured either—and he began attacking the hero team.

Everyone immediately stayed on guard; all of them stood together, determined to face him as one.

"Everyone be careful—this thing isn't easy to deal with!" Ron warned everyone.

Although they had numbers, more people just meant more chaos—it wouldn't actually make them stronger.

Banggu and the other heroes had long been itching for a fight, so they all struck poses ready to charge in.

Seeing this stance, the Monster Association's members also stepped forward one after another. The scene looked like it was about to turn into a free-for-all brawl.

The Homeless Emperor didn't care who was there at all; right now he just wanted to take everyone down.

That black cube appeared in the air, and the Homeless Emperor was channeling it. Some people tried to stop him, but it was already too late—a tremendous force made it impossible for anyone to get close to the Homeless Emperor.

Now everyone could only place their hopes on Ron.

A black hole appeared, and instantly an extremely strong suction began madly devouring everyone present, including those monsters as well.

Fubuki quickly held tightly onto the injured Tatsumaki. The two of them grabbed onto a heavy object nearby to steady themselves.

By this time, a lot of debris had already been sucked in, and many of the weaker ones looked like they were about to be sucked in too.

Ron waved his hand, helping everyone on the heroes' side block the vast majority of the force.

Some of the Monster Association's small fries had already been sucked in; without any boss coming to help them, they were in a pretty miserable state.

Ron taking on this alone was indeed a bit much for him, but no matter what, he wouldn't let everyone get sucked in.

So he kept holding on. Seeing this, Banggu shouted: "Everyone lend Ron a hand—don't let him bear this alone!"

Even though the combined strength of everyone might not match Ron's, it still helped a little bit.

Once they joined in, Ron could finally relax a little. Just when no one dared to let their guard down, the black hole suddenly vanished.

Seeing this, the Homeless Emperor immediately disappeared as well, leaving only the hero alliance's people and those small-fry monsters behind.

Only now did Ron finally let go of all the strength in his body and let out a heavy sigh. He reached up and pressed a hand against his chest.

Because he had faced the black hole alone earlier, he had sustained some internal injuries to one degree or another.

Seeing him clutch his chest, Banggu hurried over and asked: "Are you okay? Are you hurt?"

Ron glanced at him, shook his head, and said: "How could I be? It's like being scratched a little—just an itch."

After saying that, he went to check on Tatsumaki's condition. The most seriously injured this time was undoubtedly Tatsumaki.

Usually Tatsumaki had never suffered such grievance, but this time she was hurt like this. Once she recovered, she would surely want to fight that monster again.

Ron rose into the air to a fairly high spot, then said loudly: "This match ends here. You monsters should have seen it—the victory this time belongs to the hero team. Do any of you have any objections!"

Although it was phrased as a question, the sheer presence behind it left no room for anyone to retort, so not a single person in the Monster Association dared to make a sound.

The Monster Association's members had either failed or vanished one by one, so even if some were unconvinced, they could only keep it bottled up inside.

"Alright, since no one has any objections, I hereby announce that in this great battle, the hero team is victorious."

And so, this long struggle between the heroes and the Monster Association could finally be considered to have come to an end.

Although this time they had completely defeated the monsters, quite a few people were seriously injured—even Ron was hurt, though his injuries were internal, so no one could tell how he was really doing.

Luo En helped carry Dragon Roll back; her injuries were extremely severe, and she had fainted.

"Luo En, is my sister okay? Her injuries are serious! I'm so worried!" Chui Xue said, her face twisted with anxiety, her hands clenched tightly.

Hearing her, Luo En walked over from the side and patted Chui Xue's back. "Don't worry—Dragon Roll's injuries are grave, but she's incredibly strong; she can endure this. She's just exhausted and needs rest."

After hearing Luo En's reassurance, Chui Xue nodded, her heart finally easing slightly, and she relaxed a little.

What Luo En now needed to figure out was why all those members of the Monster Alliance had vanished one by one.

All he knew was that Wang Dashe had devoured Wolf, so they likely fled—but what about Wanderer Emperor? Why did he disappear?

At that moment, Luo En had sensed a mysterious, powerful force flash by. Once it passed, the black hole vanished.

If that's the case, then that force took away the Wanderer Emperor.

To investigate this, Luo En summoned all of Bang Gu and Atom Knight together for a meeting.

"If I didn't misread it, Wang Dashe devoured Wolf—so Wolf is most likely already..." Bang Gu said.

Luo En immediately interjected with what he had sensed. "Not necessarily. Wolf is severely wounded, but he's no ordinary monster—the closer he is to death, the faster he awakens. It's Wang Dashe who might be the one in danger."

"So does that mean Wolf is really strong?" Chui Xue chimed in.

"Of course he is—if he weren't, would he be lying there?" Bang Gu said, then cast a sidelong glance toward the injured Dragon Roll.

Chui Xue instantly understood Bang Gu's implication and frowned in defense of Dragon Roll. "You want to get beaten by Dragon Roll, don't you? Shouting like that—don't you know what she's like? You really deserve a beating from her!"

Chui Xue's words made Bang Gu shrink back—he knew Dragon Roll was stronger than him, and saying such things to her was indeed overstepping.

The two kept bickering, and Luo En could no longer bear to watch.

His face darkened instantly. Chui Xue looked up and saw his expression—she immediately fell silent, but Bang Gu kept talking.

Suddenly, Bang Gu noticed the sudden silence from both of them and realized Luo En's face had turned black.

"Cough, cough—alright, I'll shut up. You go ahead." He added, scratching his head to ease his embarrassment.

Once both were quiet, Luo En spoke slowly: "Do you remember the black hole?"

"Of course—I almost got sucked in!" Bang Gu answered first.

Chui Xue followed quickly: "I remember—it was terrifying. Thank goodness you were there, or we'd have been pulled in already."

As Chui Xue spoke, her eyes were filled with admiration and reverence for Luo En, with no attempt to hide it.

Luo En was completely unmoved by this flattery.

He continued: "The Wanderer Emperor used the black cube to summon the black hole—but someone intercepted it. Otherwise, we'd all have been sucked in."

Luo En still didn't know who it was, but he knew this person was no ordinary being—he was extremely powerful.

However, Luo En's assumption was correct: it was indeed a powerful being—his name was Explosion.

A wanderer who traverses parallel universes, effortlessly creates clones, and possesses the power to destroy an entire universe.
