Chapter 509: Little Girl, Are You Pregnant? (Bonus Chapter 2)

~7 min read 1,348 words

"A little, Qiu Hua, help me to the bed." She couldn't worry about too much now; she was afraid her body wouldn't hold up, and Guo Ge's legs still needed half an hour, so she had to rest.

The sister-in-law also hurried forward to help, and when she turned back, she found that Guo Tiexiong's veins were bulging; his face was flushed, and he was drenched in sweat.

"Guo Ge's pain has already doubled now, and there is one last acupuncture session, which will be several times more intense than this one," An Yinan explained.

It wasn't just her who was in pain; the pain Guo Ge had to endure was no small amount either.

An Yinan closed her eyes to rest, reminding Qiu Hua to be sure to wake her up.

She fell straight into a deep sleep, and while she slept, the space shifted, and the safety pendant began to spin continuously, nourishing An Yinan's body.

When removing the Silver Needle, the energy consumed was much less.

An Yinan finished removing the Silver Needle and saw Guo Ge's veins bulging all over his body, "Can you still hold on?"

The tip of the Silver Needle was now black; if this needle were used as a hidden weapon at this moment, the person struck by it would lose their life on the spot.

The medicinal effect had already been absorbed by Guo Ge, and what was being forced out now was pure toxin.

"It's just the last time, isn't it? I can do it," Guo Tiexiong said, still panting heavily, his eyes blurred by sweat.

The sister-in-law pushed Guo Ge out; after resting for a day, Guo Ge left directly with the people he was taking to Pengcheng.

An Yinan slept for a full day and night, showing no signs of waking up in between.

Big Aunt and Qiu Hua were both worried about her physical condition, but Nan Nan had said before she fell asleep not to call a Doctor.

They didn't know what to do now.

"Let's see how things are tomorrow; if Nan Nan still doesn't wake up, I will go find a doctor," Qiu Hua said.

The reason for delaying was that Nan Nan seemed to have had a premonition that she would sleep for this long.

"This child, why is she putting her mother through so much trouble!" Liu Xicai wiped the corner of her eye anxiously and said helplessly.

She had given birth to two children, and neither of them had been this troublesome.

Zhao Qiu Hua did not mention that Nan Nan had performed acupuncture on Guo Ge yesterday.

She didn't know if Nan Nan wanted to talk about it, so she simply didn't say anything.

It wasn't until nightfall that An Yinan was woken up by hunger, "Qiu Hua, I'm hungry."

At these six words, Zhao Qiu Hua, who had been lying by her bedside, woke up immediately.

Big Aunt was afraid of worrying the grandmother, so she didn't dare stay the night, and when night came, she went to keep the grandmother company.

"You're finally awake," Zhao Qiu Hua's voice trembled; she had been terrified today.

"I'm fine, just a bit weak. Is there anything to eat?" An Yinan smiled and reached her hand out from under the quilt.

"Yes, yes, yes. Seeing that you could eat the pastries from the teahouse, I specifically bought some to keep; you try them." Nan Nan had been vomiting so miserably that whenever she found something she could keep down, she would specifically buy extra to save.

An Yinan didn't wash up or get out of bed; she really had no strength right now.

She picked up a piece of pastry directly and put it into her mouth; it was slightly sweet, not at all cloying, and had a faint, delicate fragrance.

"These pastries were specially made by the proprietress; she said they wouldn't affect the fetus, so you can eat them without worry," Zhao Qiu Hua said as she handed another piece to Nan Nan.

Nan Nan ate five pieces of pastry before she felt her stomach was full.

The morning sickness in recent days had caused her appetite to become even smaller.

"I'm full," An Yinan said.

Zhao Qiu Hua brought over some boiled water that had just cooled to a moderate temperature, "Drink some water."

An Yinan smiled, finished the water, and curled back up under the quilt.

"Qiu Hua, go to sleep, I'm really fine." She knew her own body; because of the safety pendant, her pregnancy reactions were very severe.

The safety pendant did not allow her body to lack nutrition; as soon as the child absorbed some, it would release some.

This resulted in her body becoming a transit station, which was why she was so exhausted.

"Can you wake up tomorrow morning?" Zhao Qiu Hua asked.

If Nan Nan didn't wake up tomorrow, Big Aunt definitely wouldn't be able to hold on and would inevitably take Nan Nan to the hospital.

It was likely that Big Aunt wouldn't be able to sleep well tonight either.

"I can," An Yinan smiled.

Zhao Qiu Hua let out a breath, finally feeling relieved.

"Sleep, sleep. Xiao Guo booked the return tickets for the day after tomorrow," Zhao Qiu Hua said.

An Yinan nodded and began to feel drowsy again.

"Okay."

The faint voice disappeared into her steady breathing.

Zhao Qiu Hua looked at her, her eyes full of worry.

When they returned to Beijing from Shanghai, as soon as they exited the Railway Station, they saw a line of people.

"Mom, you're back," Yun Fei supported the old lady.

Fang Hong, however, walked toward An Yinan, "How are you? Can your body handle it?"

After hearing the news of Nan Nan's pregnancy, she had been terrified every day; how could she have endured such a long journey?

"I'm quite well," An Yinan smiled; if her lips hadn't been pale, it might have been more convincing.

"Mom, let's talk when we get home," Yun Qi took the luggage from the others, and Li Xiue also crowded over, asking Zhao Qiu Hua about An Yinan's condition.

Upon learning that she had been unconscious for a day and a night, Li Xiue's brow did not unfurl.

"Why did you all come?" There were family members and partners.

Yun Fei looked at An Yinan, his eyes showing worry, "Chen Xun cannot come back."

It was said that pregnant women were more sensitive, and he was afraid Nan Nan would feel uncomfortable, so he, as her eldest uncle, told her the situation directly to save Nan Nan from overthinking.

An Yinan nodded; Chen Xun wasn't there, and the third brother wasn't there—actually, even if her eldest uncle hadn't said it, she could have guessed.

"Okay."

The group returned home, and Grandmother sat on the sofa, looking at Nan Nan and saying, "Girl, are you expecting?"

Liu Xicai, who was tidying up, and Zhao Qiu Hua, who was helping carry things, both froze, then looked toward Grandmother.

An Yinan was also somewhat surprised; had they not been disguising it well enough these past few days?

How did Grandmother find out?

"You lot! Afraid I'd worry!" Grandmother said with a chuckle.

"Grandmother has birthed four children, and your reactions were so intense; during the few days you were in Shanghai, you didn't even come to see me, so I knew," Grandmother said, looking as if she were very clever.

The three who had been keeping it a secret smiled helplessly; so, what exactly had they been hiding?

"Grandmother, then why didn't you just say it directly?" An Yinan asked with a smile.

Grandmother took her hand, patted it, and looked at her with a face full of affection.

"If I had said it, you would have been afraid of me worrying, so I didn't say anything; I just pretended I didn't know, so you wouldn't have to consider my situation," Grandmother said.

An Yinan leaned into Grandmother's embrace; all that an elder thinks and wishes for is for the children to be better off.
