Chapter 84: Power of the Soul

"You really want to take the Hunter assessment?" The old man asked Zhuge Tianxin again.

"Yes, sorry to trouble you, but I want to try." Zhuge Tianxin gave a positive answer again.

"Alright, since this is your own wish, I cannot refuse. Follow me." After Zhuge Tianxin's confirmation, the old man didn't say anything more and led him toward the assessment area, with Nangong Mengli and Weisi De Kai following.

"Absolutely not. If you enter together, the difficulty of the assessment will double from the previous level, and you won't be able to pass at all." Hearing Nangong Mengli say they wanted to take the assessment together, the old man immediately stopped them.

"Thank you for the reminder. Can I start now?" After hearing the old man's explanation, Zhuge Tianxin couldn't wait to try.

"Brother Tianxin, why don't we take the assessment with you? That way we can look out for each other." Just as Zhuge Tianxin was about to start, Nangong Mengli suddenly said.

"Absolutely not. If you all enter together, the difficulty of the assessment will double from its previous level, and you won't be able to pass the assessment at all." Hearing Miss Mengli say they would take the assessment together, the old man immediately stopped them.

"It's alright, Mengli. I can handle it alone. There's no need for you to take the risk. Believe me, I will definitely pass the assessment." Zhuge Tianxin also disagreed with Nangong Mengli and Weisi De Kai taking the assessment with him.

"In that case, be careful." Unable to participate together, Nangong Mengli could only remind Zhuge Tianxin to be careful.

"Yes, I'm going in." Zhuge Tianxin said, turning to walk to the center of the plaza and taking out his Hunter card.

When Zhuge Tianxin held his Hunter card in front of him, a beam of light extended from mid-air in the previously empty plaza. This beam of light lengthened until it shone on Zhuge Tianxin's Hunter card. Zhuge Tianxin felt the points on his card being deducted, and as they were, a door slowly appeared at the other end of the light beam. When one hundred Hunter points were deducted, the door fully formed, and the light beam broke from the middle, disappearing into Zhuge Tianxin and the door respectively.

Seeing the door formed, Zhuge Tianxin didn't hesitate, walked toward it, entered, and was transported away.

When Zhuge Tianxin could see again, he had arrived in a forest. All around were large trees that could block the sky, and from time to time, he could hear the chirping of insects and birds in the distance, giving a feeling of peace and tranquility.

"Find a safe place first, then break the seal on the Hunter's Handkerchief." Just as Zhuge Tianxin was transported to the forest, Qing Xuan'er in the mysterious space immediately reminded him to find a safe place to break the seal. This was the reason Zhuge Tianxin wanted to take this assessment and didn't let Nangong Mengli and Weisi De Kai participate—because he needed to break the seal on the Hunter's Handkerchief. In fact, after Zhuge Tianxin arrived at the Mercenary Station last night, he didn't sleep immediately. When he was discussing magic with Nangong Mengli, Qing Xuan'er mentioned the Hunter's Handkerchief, reminding him. So, after arriving at the station, Zhuge Tianxin and Qing Xuan'er discussed how to find a safe place to break the seal. The result of the discussion was the Hunter assessment location, so Zhuge Tianxin asked the old man to let him try the assessment.

About half an hour later, Zhuge Tianxin finally found a safe place. This place was located in a valley, one side of which was a cliff that looked like it had been sliced flat. There was a cave in this cliff, about seven or eight square meters in size. Originally, a Rank 1 Black Bear beast lived in this cave, but after Zhuge Tianxin arrived, he killed the bear in a few moves and occupied the cave.

Inside the cave, Zhuge Tianxin impatiently took out the Hunter's Handkerchief and asked Qing Xuan'er in the mysterious space: "Where is that dagger? You took it away before, and now I need it to break the seal on the Hunter's Handkerchief. Hurry up and take it out."

"You idiot, isn't the sword in your hand it?" Qing Xuan'er scolded.

"What? This sword is that dagger? This is clearly a sword, how can it be a dagger? Impossible." Zhuge Tianxin couldn't believe it.

"Now is not the time to discuss whether it's a dagger or a sword. Hurry up and break the seal on the Hunter's Handkerchief. I wonder what you'll get this time?" Qing Xuan'er ignored Zhuge Tianxin's question.

"Alright." Zhuge Tianxin knew Qing Xuan'er wouldn't tell him if he kept asking, so he immediately raised the sword in his hand and stabbed hard at the Hunter's Handkerchief.

*Clang! * When Zhuge Tianxin stabbed at the Hunter's Handkerchief, the sword, about two or three centimeters away, seemed to hit steel, making a *clang* sound, and couldn't go any further. Zhuge Tianxin remained in the posture of stabbing, frozen in place.

"I don't believe I can't break you." Zhuge Tianxin initially wanted to rely only on his physical strength to see if he could break the seal, but after finding he couldn't, he had to attach his Mind power to the sword and continue stabbing hard at the Hunter's Handkerchief.

*Bang! * This time, the sword successfully broke the seal on the Hunter's Handkerchief with a *bang*, followed by a burst of light that lasted for about a minute before slowly fading.

"Congratulations on breaking the seal on the Hunter's Handkerchief once again. Being able to break this seal shows that you have reached Rank 3. It is time to give you the method of cultivation." After the light faded, the figure of an old man appeared on the Hunter's Handkerchief and said. After seeing the figure clearly, Zhuge Tianxin immediately knew it was the author of the Hunter's Handkerchief, Tian Wenxin.

"The cultivation method on our Hunter Continent is to awaken the Mind, guide Mind power into the body's chakras, constantly strengthen Mind power, then break through to the next rank and continue to activate the next chakra. However, the world does not know what the Mind actually is, which leads to slow cultivation and limits the achievements of those who cultivate. I discovered the essence of the Mind while exploring a Spiritual Realm. Knowing the essence of the Mind allowed my cultivation to advance by leaps and bounds, taking only one year to break through from a Rank 3 Mind user to a Rank 7 Mind user. Now, I will tell you the essence of the Mind, hoping you will break through to Rank 7 as soon as possible and help me fulfill an unfulfilled wish." Tian Wenxin didn't care if Zhuge Tianxin recognized him, but instead spoke at length about his cultivation after learning the essence of the Mind.

After finishing this long speech, Tian Wenxin continued: "I am old, and I talk too much, but I don't have much time left. Now I will tell you the essence of the Mind: the essence of the Mind is the power of the Seven Souls within the Three Spirits and Seven Souls, which I call—the Power of the Soul." ===== CHAPTER 85 =====
