Chapter 21: The Mutated Psychic Dragon
At this moment in the Star Realm, Gelikete's mouth, which had originally been wide open, had become numb for a full two hours! The endless Star Matter kept pouring into the dragon's body, and she truly wondered what this dragon was made of, how it could hold so much.
Finally, after the dragon's whole body turned silver, the frantic Star Matter finally calmed down. The Star Matter that had not yet entered, as if angry, tried resentfully to strike Naimi Xisi's body, but there was no space left for them to enter.
"Is it over?" Gelikete exhaled in relief. She had truly feared that, if this continued, some big fellows would be drawn here by the disturbance.
But immediately, what happened next made her widen that already numb mouth once again.
As the Star Matter infusion ended, the Spiritual Power of the Star Realm Origin began to project toward Naimi Xisi. This is the first step that every Psychic Sorcerer must undergo; aside from a few exceptionally high‑magic beings, most creatures receive enough Mana to become a first‑level Psychic Sorcerer.
Mana, the term for the energy consumed by Psychic Ability, differs from Spell Circle positions; the use of Psychic Ability is very free, like a blue‑bar Mage. A Psychic Sorcerer can invest any amount of Mana, more or less, to unleash Psychic Abilities of varying power.
For example, a ninth‑circle Psychic Sorcerer can pour all his Mana into amplifying a first‑circle ability, and likewise can use the same Mana to cast a ninth‑circle ability.
If expressed with concrete numbers, a first‑level Psychic Ability practitioner has two Mana points, while releasing a first‑circle Mana ability requires one Mana point, a second‑circle ability needs three Mana points, a third‑circle ability needs five Mana points, and so on.
But that is not the point; the point is that, at this moment, the Mana projected by the Star Realm is terrifyingly massive.
The endless Mana, continuously infused, even caused surrounding fluctuations.
"Damn it, with this much Mana, what level is this dragon? A Legendary‑level Psychic Sorcerer?" Gelikete found the reality absurd; even her Idealism could not accept the scene before her.
What she didn't know was that Naimi Xisi's Psychic Sorcerer rank starts at Sixth-level Sorcerer, and with the boost of intelligence, his Mana points reached 51.
And with the Mind Gem's ten‑fold amplification of casting resources, his Mana points surged to a staggering 510! Yet even a 20th‑level Legendary Psychic Sorcerer has only about 350–400 Mana points.
Therefore, Gelikete's thought was not entirely wrong; the Mana Naimi Xisi consumed to enter is roughly more than that of a Legendary Psychic Sorcerer.
This is the terrifying aspect of the ruler of the spiritual world—Mind Power.
The massive Mana infusion finally ended after half an hour; this is a perk of entering as a Psychic Sorcerer. From now on, whenever a Psychic Sorcerer wishes to restore Mana, they must sleep a full eight hours like a Mage to draw enough Mana.
Naimi Xisi opened his eyes, a fierce silver light flickering within, then he calmed.
Gelikete asked hesitantly, "Are you okay?"
Naimi Xisi shook his head and smiled, "I'm fine, never have I felt better."
A light panel opened before him, displaying his latest stats. — Real name: Naimi Xisi

Witnessed miracle: the birth of Naimi Xisi — the influx of Star Matter completely altered his flesh; now he is a hybrid of Juan Ce Long and the massive Star Realm Power, and like many Xenodragon elders, he has become a unique dragon breed.
First, all attribute points increased by one except Intelligence, which rose by three, completely surpassing Charisma to become Naimi Xisi's primary casting attribute.
At the same time, the Psychic Dragon granted Naimi Xisi new supernatural abilities; the first is that the dragon's breath now includes the Psychic Dragon's unique Psychic Gas breath, which can exhale a smoke‑like breath that deals Psychic damage.
Second is the at‑will third‑circle ability — Mana Shockburst.
This powerful Psychic Ability originally belonged exclusively to the Mind Flayer, yet even a powerful Mind Flayer can only cast it three times per day.
Finally, the Psychic Dragon's innate trait: as a master of Psychic Ability, the Psychic Dragon can immune to any effects of Psychic Ability, almost as exaggerated as magic immunity.
One could say that the current Naimi Xisi is a nightmare for all Psychic Sorcerers and ability users.
"With such massive Mana, I should be able to activate that gem soon, right?" Naimi Xisi clenched his fist, feeling the surging Mana.
Since obtaining that unknown mysterious gem three years ago, Naimi Xisi has been injecting Mind Power and excess unused mana into it daily, yet after three years the gem remains unfed.
Now that he has mastered Mana, Naimi Xisi has an inexplicable hunch that this energy is what the gem most loves and needs.
Suddenly, a huge whale‑like call echoed from afar, and a massive black silhouette sped toward here at breakneck speed.
Gelikete's complexion changed, and she hurried, "Run, it's an Astral Giant Whale; they are among the Star Realm's most powerful Mana creatures, probably drawn here by the wave of your recent Psychic Sorcerer promotion."
Their figures flashed away in the silver light; as they departed, Naimi Xisi, in a daze, glimpsed the Astral Giant Whale's massive form charging forward, its eyes full of anticipation.
"The Star Realm is truly dangerous; those creatures—do they attack any Spiritual Body they see?" Naimi Xisi asked upon returning to reality.
At this moment his entire body turned silver as if in the Star Realm, even the hair on his face turned silver; any stranger seeing him would likely mistake him for a silver‑dragon variant.
Gelikete wiped the phantom sweat from her face and, still shaken, said, "Psychic Sorcerers of the primary material plane are like thieves in the Star Realm. Our bodies reside in the material world, yet we constantly draw energy from the Star Realm. Many Star Realm creatures despise us; that Astral Giant Whale is probably one of them."
Then, she solemnly looked at Naimi Xisi and said, "True Dragon Excellency, I can feel the surging Mana within you, but I must warn you that in the Star Realm, beings far stronger than you are everywhere. For example, that Astral Giant Whale we just saw can, upon reaching adulthood, unleash ninth‑circle abilities and stands at the top of the Star Realm food chain."
"The most important lesson for a Psychic Sorcerer is to never be overly arrogant in the Star Realm."
Don't think Legendary Psychic Sorcerers have few Mana points; a ninth‑circle ability only consumes 17 points, so a Legendary Sorcerer can cast over twenty ninth‑circle abilities! When I wrote this I wondered whether I should nerf the Mana points, but after thinking, I'm no match for the official balance, so I kept it as in the original.
