Chapter 605: It's Really Over

~7 min read 1,286 words

The Monkeys varied in size, some only knee‑high, some taller than a person; their bodies were coated in dust, their eyes filled with terror and frenzy, and they let out intermittent Jiaojiao cries.

San Yue Qi widened her eyes.

Bai Hang also widened her eyes.

Hercules also froze for a moment.

Then the Monkeys surged into their midst.

Jiaojiao Jiaojiao Jiaojiao Jiaojiao Jiaojiao—!!!

The shriek was deafening, and the Monkeys cared nothing about who was who, only rampaging wildly.

San Yue Qi had her leg knocked by a Monkey, Bai Hang was smeared in a face by another, and even Hercules had several Monkeys climb onto his shoulders, angrily pulling each off and throwing them to the ground.

"What's going on—!" San Yue Qi shouted while dodging.

Bai Hang used her bow to push away a Monkey that leapt onto her head, her face a mix of bewildered laughter and tears: "How would I know! How can there be so many Monkeys in this supermarket!"

Hercules let out an angry roar and slapped three nearby Monkeys away.

But there were too many Monkeys; no matter how many he slapped, they kept coming, and they weren't afraid of him at all—some bold ones even tugged at his hair.

San Yue Qi watched the scene and suddenly realized—this was an opportunity.

She looked at Bai Hang, and Bai Hang happened to look back at her.

The two exchanged a glance and understood each other's thoughts without a word.

San Yue Qi inhaled deeply and shouted the slogan: "Madeinheaven—!!!"

Time Acceleration!

Her speed instantly surged to the limit, darting through the chaotic Monkey Horde toward Hercules!

Hercules was tangled with the Monkeys and didn't notice them at all.

San Yue Qi approached from the left, drawing the Ice Bow to full, and three Ice Arrows flew straight for his knees!

Bai Hang circled to his back from the right, pulling the Recurve Bow taut, a black‑glowing Treasure Arrow nocked on the string.

Hercules sensed danger, spun sharply, and tried to throw a punch—

but the Monkeys tangled him, slowing his movement by half a beat.

The three Ice Arrows struck his knees, frost spreading and further hampering his motions.

Bai Hang released the bowstring.

The black Treasure Arrow silently sliced through the air and, at the instant Hercules turned, hit his chest with pinpoint accuracy!

Boom—!!!

The black light burst at his chest like a tiny black hole, devouring everything around it!

Hercules was blasted backward by the massive impact, crashing through a wall behind him and finally vanishing into the ruins!

The Monkey Horde fell silent in an instant.

The Monkeys seemed to hit a pause button, all turning their gaze toward that direction, then all turning toward San Yue Qi and Bai Hang, and then all—

ran.

They bolted in every direction, disappearing without a trace in the blink of an eye, leaving only banana peels scattered on the ground and a street littered with devastation.

San Yue Qi panted heavily, propping a hand on her knee, feeling her magical energy completely drained.

Bai Hang fared no better; the Noble Phantasm arrow had nearly exhausted all her magic, and now she could barely hold the bow.

"Is it over?" Bai Hang's voice was hoarse.

San Yue Qi was about to answer when a sudden sound echoed from the ruins.

The broken stones shifted.

The massive black figure rose again from the ruins.

The wound on his chest was healing, the crimson veins writhing wildly, denser and more glaring than before.

He lifted his head, those crimson eyes fixed on them, a low roar emanating from his throat.

This time, it was truly the end.

San Yue Qi gave a wry smile, about to say something—

A golden light streaked down from the sky!

The light, like a bolt of lightning, instantly pierced Hercules's chest!

It was a golden spear, its shaft coiled with lightning!

Hercules's body shuddered violently, his crimson eyes bulging.

The spear entered his front chest and exited his back, pinning his whole body to the ground!

Boom—!!!

The massive impact hurled him outward, crashing through a ruined building behind him and finally vanishing deep within the wreckage, raising clouds of dust!

San Yue Qi and Bai Hang simultaneously turned their heads, looking toward the direction from which the spear had come.

A white figure swooped in from afar, speed astonishingly swift.

He landed on a broken section of a building, his white long hair fluttering in the night wind, his golden eyes shimmering with gentle light under the moon.

Jing Yuan.

He stood there, one hand still poised as if to throw, the other hand resting behind his back.

He glanced toward the direction Hercules had vanished, confirming that the guy wouldn't return soon, then turned his head to look at the two disheveled girls below.

"Did you arrive in time…?" he smiled faintly.

San Yue Qi opened her mouth to speak, but ended up collapsing onto the ground, exhaling a long breath.

Bai Hang also collapsed, her Fox Ears drooping, her whole body leaning against the wall, lacking the strength even to speak.

At that moment, a voice came from afar:

"San Yue Jie—banana!"

San Yue Qi lifted her head and saw a black figure running toward her.

It was Lin.

She wore that tattered rag of clothing, her twin ponytails fluttering in the wind, her face full of anxiety.

She ran up to San Yue Qi, crouched down, and examined the injury‑covered Fen Mao girl from head to toe, a mist of water rising in her blue eyes.

"You okay, banana?!"

Her voice was hoarse. "How did you get hurt like this, banana…"

San Yue Qi looked at Lin's face and suddenly smiled.

"It's fine, I won't die."

Lin bit her lip, tears swirling in her eye sockets.

"5 banana…"

Her voice was soft. "…I shouldn't have been so useless, banana…"

San Yue Qi was stunned for a moment, then reached out to rub her hair.

"What nonsense are you saying."

Her voice was light, yet carried a strange warmth, "Didn't you also run out? You did it."

Lin's tears finally fell.

"But you got hurt like this, banana…"

"Being hurt like this was worth it."

San Yue Qi said, her smile bearing a seriousness Lin had never seen, "You know, when that big brute chased me and hit me earlier, all I could think of was—Lin was still up there waiting for me, I had to go back."

Lin was stunned.

San Yue Qi patted her shoulder, braced against the ground and stood up; though her legs still trembled, she stood upright.

"So, don't say sorry. We're partners, right?"

Lin looked at her, those tear‑filled eyes full of complex emotions.

She nodded forcefully.

Bai Hang was about to say something when she suddenly noticed something moving behind Lin.

It was fluffy, brown, like a Tail.

Bai Hang blinked, thinking she had seen wrong.

But the Tail was indeed moving, protruding from under Lin's skirt, swaying gently.

"Um…"

She pointed behind Lin. "Classmate Lin, you grew a Tail."

San Yue Qi followed Bai Hang's finger and looked—

A fluffy brown Tail was extending from under Lin's skirt, swaying leisurely.

Lin was stunned for a moment, turned to look, and then her whole body went rigid.

She reached out to touch the Tail, her fingers brushing the soft fur, then slowly grasped it.

"What is this… banana…?"

Her voice trembled.

San Yue Qi looked at her, a bit bewildered.

"Lin."

She said softly, "Your Tail is cute."

Lin was stunned for a moment, then tears streamed down.

"Who wants cute banana—! I want to become human banana—!"

Her cries echoed over the ruins.
