Chapter 1016: Two-Meter Giant
He Yuzhu spoke, "You all continue to stall them for now. I am too exhausted these days and truly cannot hold on. After twelve o'clock midnight, leave the matters here for me to handle."
"Then please go back and rest. We will continue to negotiate with a diplomatic mindset while simultaneously preparing for the worst-case scenario of combat," Captain Li replied.
He Yuzhu said no more, turned around, and walked quickly back to the cabin, took off his coat, and collapsed onto the bed.
The days of rushing about and fighting had exhausted all his strength; his muscles and bones were sore and weak. The moment his head hit the pillow, a heavy drowsiness swept over him, and he fell into a deep sleep in the blink of an eye.
Not knowing how long he had slept, He Yuzhu woke up, groggily took out the mobile phone from his pocket, and saw it was already past one o'clock in the morning.
He suddenly flipped over and sat up, hurriedly put on his shoes, and headed straight for the captain's cabin.
Pushing the door open, he saw Deputy Minister Sun with eyes full of bloodshot veins; it looked as if he had just been communicating with the domestic headquarters.
After Deputy Minister Sun hung up the phone, He Yuzhu stepped forward and asked, "Are those three warships still blocking the route and refusing to let us pass?"
Captain Li nodded with a grave expression, "This bunch of scoundrels insists that we are hiding a monster over two meters tall with eyes like copper bells on our ship, claiming this person is the one who previously blew up their vessels, and they are insistent on boarding to search."
Hearing this, coldness surged in the depths of He Yuzhu's eyes, "It would be a waste of talent if this bunch of guys didn't go to Hollywood to act. In a moment, I will let them see this 'monster' for themselves."
Captain Li had long since witnessed He Yuzhu's endless array of methods and did not ask for the reason, immediately ordering the sailors to lower the side boarding basket to send He Yuzhu onto a lifeboat.
He Yuzhu sat on the small lifeboat, gripped the oars, and rowed hard, heading toward the distant sea under the cover of night; before long, he merged into the pitch-black ocean.
After rowing for several nautical miles until his own warship could no longer see his figure, he stopped rowing and took out his own patrol boat.
He pushed the throttle to the maximum, and the speedboat cut through layers of waves, racing toward the M Military cruiser.
Looking at the increasingly clear silhouette of the ship, He Yuzhu narrowed his eyes and whispered in his heart, "System, move to the cockpit of this cruiser."
The system was silent for two seconds and began to negotiate as usual, "This Space-Time Shuttle will deduct three tons of gold."
He Yuzhu felt a surge of anger in his heart and pointed at the cruiser right before him, complaining indignantly, "At such a short distance, a Telescope can see everything clearly, and you open your mouth to ask for three tons of gold? My gold didn't come from a strong wind!"
The system explained in a flat tone, "Your shuttle interval is too short. If you do not pay this fee, you will likely fall into a coma again, or perhaps never wake up at all."
He Yuzhu's heart tightened, and he hurriedly asked, "When I fainted after using my ability last time, was it because my heart stopped beating?"
"Correct. Although the body will recover on its own, once the heart stops for too long, you will perish completely," the system replied indifferently.
"So, it was Doctor Liu who saved me back then?"
"She possesses special energy... she has no malice toward you. You look young on the outside, but in reality, your body has already begun to age."
Hearing this, a layer of cold sweat broke out on He Yuzhu's back, and a sense of guilt arose in his heart, feeling he had let down the simple-minded Doctor Liu. He pondered for a moment and asked, "If I pay extra gold, can it reduce the physical backlash from the shuttle? I don't have much use for this gold anyway."
Sensing the host had relented, the system's tone immediately became enthusiastic, "The host will deduct four tons of gold at once; your teleportation authorization is upgraded to eight times, and future shuttles will no longer damage your physical body."
He Yuzhu sneered, "You should have said so earlier; I am not a stingy person."
"Previously, you were always calculating."
"Stop picking on my faults," He Yuzhu retorted casually.
The system then confirmed, "Does the host confirm the payment of four tons of gold to initiate this Space-Time Teleportation?"
"Confirmed!"
As soon as the words fell, He Yuzhu instantly lost consciousness.
When he opened his eyes again, he had appeared out of thin air inside the cockpit of the enemy cruiser.
The cabin was brightly lit, with over a dozen sailors surrounding the instrument panel, each performing their duties and constantly broadcasting navigation parameters.
The sudden appearance of He Yuzhu frightened a young sailor nearby; the clipboard in his hand clattered to the floor, his mouth hung wide open, and his face was full of horror.
The surrounding soldiers turned to look and, seeing the suddenly appeared yellow-skinned stranger, all widened their eyes; the entire cockpit instantly fell into dead silence.
The silence lasted less than half a second before the cabin fell into chaos.
"Enemy attack!"
Before anyone could draw their guns to sound the alarm, He Yuzhu moved his mind, and every sailor in the cockpit vanished into thin air.
He took a set of M Military navy uniforms from his Storage Space, put them on, donned the military cap, and walked out of the cockpit like a ghost, moving through the crisscrossing, ladder-winding cabin corridors.
This cruiser was massive, with passages leading in all directions. As he reached a corridor corner, two soldiers chatting with coffee in hand approached; before the smiles on their faces could fade, they suddenly disappeared.
Moving forward, three staff officers were arguing over a route around a sea chart; He Yuzhu walked quietly behind them, and the three vanished in an instant.
The warship soon fell into chaos; the steering gear shifted inexplicably, the hull shook violently, and the power systems collapsed one after another. The large cruiser lost power, left to be tossed and bumped by the waves at will.
In the captain's cabin, Captain James roared loudly, "Cockpit, answer! Answer immediately!"
The Walkie-talkie had no response.
He turned his head and ordered sternly, "The whole squad, take your firearms and follow me to the cockpit to investigate immediately!"
James ran with six fully armed soldiers, but no matter how many times he shouted into the Walkie-talkie, no one answered.
Fine cold sweat slid down James's nose bridge; before he reached the cockpit, he discovered the power was cut, and only flickering emergency lights remained in the entire corridor.
Just as James turned the corridor corner, a black shadow flashed from the pipe shadows; he and the soldiers following him did not even have time to make a sound before they all dissipated into thin air.
In the empty corridor, only the clock hanging on the wall ticked.
He Yuzhu stepped out from the shadows, raised his hand to wipe the sweat from his forehead, and went straight into the power distribution room to cut off all communication antennas and external power sources.
The large cruiser completely became an iron coffin drifting on the sea.
For the next two hours or so, He Yuzhu cleared the dark warship level by level.
On the other side, on the landing ship, Captain Mark stared fixedly at the powerless, stalled cruiser, shouting hoarsely at Adjutant Joe, "James is completely finished! That cruiser has lost power and gone dark; it's practically a ghost ship! He insisted on blocking the Huaxia warship, and now he has buried himself in the sea. We don't care anymore, retreat at full speed!"
Adjutant Joe raised his Telescope to look at the distant, silent cruiser, his lips trembling constantly, "Captain, is it true that not a single living person is left on that warship of ours?"
"The power is all paralyzed; how could there be anyone alive on the ship? I saw that two-meter-tall guy; let's run quickly, he's looking at me and smiling."
Mark ordered the sailors to turn quickly, pushed the throttle to the maximum, and sailed in the opposite direction of the Huaxia warship.
At this moment, He Yuzhu had already shuttled onto the deck of this landing ship, a cold smile curling at the corner of his mouth.
