Chapter 1070: The Great Explosion at the Port
He Yuzhu was silent for a few seconds, then beckoned the group to come closer and said in a low voice, "Given the current situation, we cannot rashly head out to sea."
Wang Pangzi's eyes darted around, and he hurriedly leaned in, "What is it, Master He? Have you figured out a new plan?"
He Yuzhu shook his head slightly, "I just realized something. It is highly likely they are using the various checkpoints to track our movements. Once they lock onto us, they won't move to arrest us on the spot; they will only quietly pass the intelligence along to set a trap for us."
Wang Pangzi chuckled, "Master He, that metaphor of yours isn't very good; we certainly aren't going to be the turtles in that jar."
Hu Bayi nodded, his expression turning serious, "Now that you mention it, I recall something. The officer at the checkpoint just now didn't show even a hint of surprise when he saw the five of us in one car, as if he had been tipped off in advance."
He Yuzhu's gaze sharpened, "Did you notice anything else suspicious?"
"He—his eyes swept over us, and there was a flash of evasion that I caught. It was like he was wary of us," Dajinya said.
Wang Pangzi chimed in from the side, "That's right, I also saw him secretly glancing in the direction we were heading. I was watching specifically for it."
Xu Damao, standing to the side, curled his lip and immediately voiced a different opinion, "I say, Hu Bayi, you're being too suspicious. There are so many people coming and going at the pier, why would they target us?"
He Yuzhu raised his hand to press down, stopping the two from arguing, "Every time I passed a checkpoint, I handed over money; I was intentionally testing them. They accepted it too much as a matter of course."
Hu Bayi's eyes widened, and he said, "No wonder Master He gave money at every checkpoint. Logically, doing that should have made people suspicious instead."
He Yuzhu smiled, "I'm not afraid of them being suspicious, nor am I even afraid of them trying to arrest me on the spot. I only fear them hiding in the shadows, watching us silently. However, today, we won't guess anymore. There are so many people on the sea; if we capture a tongue, all the details will be clear."
Wang Pangzi's eyes bulged upon hearing this, "Master He, they have dozens of patrol boats. If we capture one, won't the remaining ships swarm over like mad dogs?"
He Yuzhu did not answer immediately, instead raising his hand to point at the flickering lights on the distant sea, "See those fishing boats heading out? They have to undergo inspections too. I will blend into the fishing boat fleet to slip out and find an opportunity to strike."
Hu Bayi frowned, filled with worry, "Master He, on land, your skills are heaven-defying, and we all admire you. But this is the vast ocean; are you truly certain?"
He Yuzhu patted his shoulder, his tone firm, "Rest assured, I have it under control. You must hide securely and absolutely must not expose yourselves; that is the top priority."
The group looked at each other and all shut their mouths, saying no more.
He Yuzhu bent down and pulled a palm-sized walkie-talkie from his backpack, "The effective communication range is ten kilometers. No matter what happens at sea, if you don't hear my signal, no one is allowed to show themselves."
After giving his instructions, the group crept toward a desolate, uninhabited rocky beach.
He Yuzhu snuck forward along the coastline for a distance and soon found an inconspicuous small fishing port.
Several dilapidated wooden boats were docked crookedly along the shore, their mooring ropes covered in moss; one look and it was clear they had been abandoned there for a long time without care.
He did not use these broken vessels, but looked around to confirm no one was watching, and his arm swung out abruptly.
That fishing boat, which had cost him countless efforts to modify, appeared silently out of thin air on the sea surface.
On the outside, it looked like an ordinary large fishing boat, its hull paint peeling off in large patches, appearing completely unremarkable.
Inside, however, it was a different scene: a silent, high-performance diesel engine, bulletproof steel plates installed in the hull lining, and automatic weapon launchers on both the front and back of the gunwales.
Those weapons integrated the world's most cutting-edge small arms equipment.
Never mind ordinary patrol boats; even if he encountered an armed gunboat, he could flip the opponent over with a single shot.
He Yuzhu jumped onto the boat, started the engine, and sailed out of the fishing port silently.
He avoided the main shipping lanes where patrol boats gathered, choosing instead to travel through dark sea areas with sparse lights where searchlights could not reach.
After sailing ten nautical miles, a gray-white patrol boat suddenly accelerated and chased after him, its bow crashing into waves as high as a person.
In an instant, the two ships were side-by-side, and seven or eight government army soldiers in gray-green uniforms held AK47s, all leaning out at once, their pitch-black muzzles aimed dead at He Yuzhu's fishing boat.
The leading officer roared, "Stop the boat! Bring out the ship's registration documents, quickly!"
He Yuzhu put on a fawning smile and shouted in English, "Gentlemen, please wait a moment, the documents are in the cabin, I'll go get them now."
After speaking, he turned and ducked into the cabin, grabbed an empty file folder, and quickly walked back out.
He rushed to the gunwale in a few steps, waved the folder, and then suddenly leaped, landing steadily on the deck of the patrol boat.
Before the soldiers could react, He Yuzhu's mind stirred, and an invisible, immense force swept across the entire deck.
The seven or eight soldiers, along with the leading officer, disappeared into thin air before they could even let out a scream.
Following that, he jumped back to his own boat, waved his hand, and the entire empty patrol boat was also collected into his space.
Only a circle of slowly expanding ripples remained on the sea, as if nothing had just happened.
He Yuzhu returned to the cockpit before releasing the leading officer alone.
It took the officer a long time to recover and regain consciousness; he looked up to see He Yuzhu's half-smiling face, and a cold sweat broke out on his back instantly.
He Yuzhu's tone was gentle, just like chatting about daily life, "Tell me, who exactly are you checking for tonight?"
The officer gritted his teeth and kept his mouth shut, refusing to reveal a single word.
He Yuzhu couldn't be bothered to waste words with him and punched him hard in the stomach, using only thirty percent of his strength.
Yet, even this thirty percent of force made the officer curl up like a shrimp in pain, his face deathly pale, sweat the size of beans pelting down, his stomach churning, suffering torture with every second.
He Yuzhu spoke again, "Have you decided yet? Who exactly are you trying to catch?"
The officer could no longer withstand the excruciating pain and gasped for air while clutching his stomach, "It was the people from M Country who ordered us... to assist in capturing a few people."
He Yuzhu's eyes narrowed slightly, and he continued to press, "Catch what people?"
The officer tremblingly fished a crumpled photo out of his pocket and handed it over.
The photo quality was blurry, clearly a screenshot from surveillance, but the facial features were clear—it was exactly the five of them, including He Yuzhu.
Only then did the officer suddenly realize, comparing the photo to He Yuzhu's appearance, and he was scared out of his wits, scrambling backward while begging incoherently, "Please, spare my life... we were just working for hire, everyone only got two hundred dollars."
"Two hundred dollars to risk your own life, it's really not worth it." He Yuzhu had no time to waste with him; he waved his hand and collected the man into his space.
After handling this, He Yuzhu stood at the bow and looked toward Yangon Port, calculating quickly in his heart.
Currently, the relationship between Myanmar and M Country was already tense, yet they could mobilize a large number of patrol boats to work for the other side, which meant there must be a CIA mole hidden within the military government.
Rather than letting this group continue to sabotage them from behind the scenes, it would be better to directly wipe out the military government's warehouse at Yangon Port, forcing all these patrol boats to retreat for rescue.
He Yuzhu closed his eyes, his mind stirred, and he activated the Space-Time Shuttle.
A flash of light passed before his eyes, and the next moment, he was already inside a giant warehouse.
The air was filled with the mixed scent of ore and timber; as the beam of his flashlight swept across, He Yuzhu couldn't help but be startled.
The warehouse was packed to the brim; on the left were rows of neatly stacked jade raw stones, and looking further in, it was all thick, precious Myanmar rosewood.
He Yuzhu did not stand on ceremony, and like autumn leaves swept by the wind, he collected the large amount of supplies in the warehouse into his space.
After finishing the search, he moved over three hundred tons of Explosive out from his space, stacking them evenly along the warehouse's load-bearing pillars and corners, connected the timed detonators, and set the explosion time.
Once everything was settled, his figure flashed, and he returned to the Fishing Boat on the sea surface.
He lit a cigarette, leaned against the ship's rail, and gazed into the distance toward the direction of Yangon Port.
Half an hour passed in the blink of an eye.
Boom!!!
A deafening, thunderous roar erupted from the port, and a ball of orange-red fire shot into the sky, illuminating the entire night sky as if it were broad daylight.
The blast wave, carrying thick smoke and debris, surged straight into the clouds, and even the sea surface over ten nautical miles away was shaken into layers of ripples.
The port ignited into a raging inferno, with flames shooting into the sky.
Not long after, the patrol boats that had been patrolling the sea surface all turned their bows, opened their throttles, and sped back toward the port like madmen.
He Yuzhu stubbed out his cigarette, calmly turned the ship's wheel, and sailed toward the location where Hu Bayi and the others were hiding.
He Yuzhu picked up the Walkie-talkie: "Hu, this Fishing Boat on the shore is mine; hurry and get on board."
From behind the rocks, Hu Bayi, Wang Pangzi, and Xu Damao waded through the seawater and boarded the Fishing Boat.
Xu Damao's eyes widened, his face full of surprise: "Master He, this boat of yours is no simple thing; how come it's loaded with so many weapons?"
"Who knows? I reckon it's the personal boat of some local big shot that I just happened to swipe," He Yuzhu lied with a straight face.
Xu Damao wanted to keep digging for answers, but Hu Bayi quietly tugged at him and gave him a look, cutting his words short.
Wang Pangzi leaned forward and asked: "Master He, where are we heading next?"
He Yuzhu looked at the group: "There are two paths before us now. One is to sail to the coast of Thailand to dock and return home by land; the second is to charge directly through the Malacca Strait. Which path do you intend to choose?"
