Chapter 867: Stepping into the King of Hell's Palace
He Yuzhu asked, "Brother Danzeng, how do you think we should enter that manor?"
Danzeng thought for a moment and said, "How about this: I'll go over and say Lawang was killed, and that enemies ambushed our base. Tell him to send troops to support immediately. As soon as you see him, you kill him; once their group becomes a leaderless mob, we can join forces to kill the rest..."
After listening, He Yuzhu said nothing, but he felt a bit uneasy in his heart.
These words didn't sound quite right.
He certainly knew he had the strength to do it, but Danzeng couldn't possibly know the full extent of his abilities. Yet, for him to still urge him to do this, there must be an ulterior motive.
Could Danzeng be setting a trap?
He couldn't help but think one step further.
Although he had been with Danzeng for over twenty days, one can know a person's face but not their heart.
He Yuzhu secretly kept his guard up; he kept the Scanning System turned on at all times.
When dusk fell, the two of them climbed ashore together, smearing the blood of several dead men onto their faces and bodies, looking very much like they had been defeated and were fleeing home.
Danzeng looked back at him and said, "Brother Ma San, follow me, don't talk nonsense. Only move when I tell you to. We must capture Zhang Suquan."
The two had just reached the manor gate when they were stopped by guards.
Danzeng hurried up to meet them, speaking a long string of Burmese gibberish.
He Yuzhu couldn't understand a single word, but his eyes remained fixed on Danzeng's expression.
He wanted to see if this person had any flaws.
However, just looking at the surface, there really weren't any.
But he felt uneasy in his heart; when these people spoke Burmese, he was essentially deaf, which was too passive.
He Yuzhu silently recited in his heart: System, do you have a simultaneous translation function?
The system responded quickly: "Since the last major system upgrade, as long as the host pays ten kilograms of gold, the system can provide you with one day of translation."
"Ten kilograms of gold? Isn't that too much of a rip-off?" He Yuzhu said.
The system responded: "It can save your life at critical moments."
"That's true, I'll activate this function today."
"Ding-dong!" Ten kilograms of gold vanished instantly.
He Yuzhu felt relieved; ever since the last trip to Yugoslavia, this lousy system had removed the Enemy-Friend Identification System as punishment for his indiscriminate killing, so this time he really had to rely on himself to identify the good guys and the bad guys.
The next second, the words of Danzeng and the two guards reached his ears in Chinese: "Lawang was killed by a group of unidentified people; I am here to report the news."
After hearing this, He Yuzhu listened carefully to the exchange between Danzeng and the guards; there were no problems with their expressions or the content.
A guard waved his hand and said, "The Commander is currently hosting a group of guests from M Country. No matter how urgent your business is, you must wait. Follow me to the reception hall!"
Danzeng nodded and said in Chinese, "Ma San, the Commander is handling important matters; we have to wait."
He Yuzhu nodded and followed the two of them.
He Yuzhu followed behind them, but his eyes were not idle; as he walked, he used the Scanning System to clarify the layout of the place.
This manor was indeed large. The visible observation posts were stilt houses built around the perimeter, four or five stories high, with people watching the surroundings twenty-four hours a day.
Hidden in the shadows were bunkers. These bunkers appeared to be small guard pavilions on the surface, but in reality, each pavilion had a large space underneath built of concrete, hiding five or six people inside, along with machine guns.
He Yuzhu was certain that this Danzeng definitely had a problem; he had led him straight into the King of Hell's palace.
He Yuzhu still pretended not to understand and followed Danzeng into the main reception hall as if he knew nothing.
This hall was in the traditional Chinese style, with rosewood furniture and decorations accented with traditional items from the local Burmese people.
Two waitresses walked in, poured a cup of local black tea for each person, placed condensed milk on the side, and served a few plates of pastries, naan, and other snacks.
He Yuzhu scanned the food—fortunately, there was nothing wrong with it.
He Yuzhu asked, "Danzeng, do you come here often?"
Danzeng was startled, immediately shook his head, but then hurriedly nodded and said, "I've only been here twice in total, both times when I was receiving missions. It was here that I met the M Country representative, Commissioner Smith."
He Yuzhu smiled and nodded, saying, "It's really big here; the vault shouldn't be easy to find, right!"
"I heard it's right under Zhang Suquan's bedroom. They say this guy likes to sleep on top of gold," Danzeng said.
The two chatted aimlessly like this. In the blink of an eye, half an hour had passed.
The tea had gone cold, and the host had yet to appear.
Danzeng couldn't sit still.
He stood up from the sofa and paced back and forth in the room. After a few laps, he leaned over to He Yuzhu and said, "Ma San, I'm going out to take a look."
He Yuzhu nodded.
Danzeng pushed the door open and went out.
He Yuzhu found a wall and stared fixedly outside. He knew those people were about to make a move. The reason he let Danzeng go was that he wanted him to lead these people into the ambush circle so he could wipe them all out.
Ten minutes later, at least two hundred people slowly surrounded the area.
He Yuzhu was disappointed in Danzeng after all; he had played a trick.
He must have exchanged a secret signal with the people outside, and he hadn't noticed it at all.
He Yuzhu's mind raced—perhaps from the very beginning, the talk of bringing him to Zhang Suquan's villa was a trap. Even this Danzeng might just be one of Zhang Suquan's subordinates.
He Yuzhu did not hesitate at all. He quickly took five hundred kilograms of High-explosive Explosives from his space and set up the Remote Control Device. The whole process was very fast, taking only two minutes.
The next second, He Yuzhu commanded: "System, dig me a tunnel from here to behind the enemy."
After the system deducted one hundred kilograms of gold, it quickly began working. It didn't take long for the tunnel to be completed, with the exit behind a large tree.
He Yuzhu hid behind a tree and poked his head out. He soon saw Danzeng with an old man in his sixties wearing a Burmese military uniform, talking incessantly.
"Godfather, this Ma San is extremely formidable. My six brothers, all men who crawled out of piles of dead bodies, were taken care of by this kid in less than ten minutes. And Lawang's four bodyguards were all killed by him in three seconds..." Danzeng gestured as he spoke, seemingly afraid that Zhang Suquan wouldn't believe him.
He Yuzhu sneered in his heart: This grandson really has a death wish, insisting on going against me.
He had originally thought about using Danzeng, and even considered letting him go after the matter was settled. Now it seemed—he had thrown away that opportunity himself.
Danzeng shouted: "Brothers, this man is fierce. Everyone surround him, open fire together, and kill him."
Eighty meters.
Fifty meters.
Thirty meters.
Over a hundred people, each holding an AK47 in their hands, with pitch-black gun barrels all aimed at the villa.
