Chapter 866: Counter-Killing the Enemy
Danzeng lowered his head, his voice sounding a bit unsteady: "We didn't expect Liu Siman to know Kung Fu, nor did we expect the public security over there to act so quickly—airports, train stations, road junctions, they set up checkpoints everywhere. We don't look like Chinese people, so we wanted to run north, slip from Inner Mongolia into Mongolia, and then fly back. As a result... our camp was raided in the middle of the night..."
Lawang interrupted him, his tone very cold, "All six brothers under your command are dead, how is it that you are the only one who came back alive? There has to be an explanation, right?"
"That night, my migraine flared up, so I stayed hiding in the Cave sleeping. Those six kids let their guard down while I was asleep, drinking and eating meat, and let someone raid the camp."
Lawang stared at him, the corners of his mouth slowly curling into a cold sneer: "Danzeng, your ability to make up stories is getting more and more impressive. Which of those six men wasn't one in ten thousand? They all died, only you came back, and you even brought a spy with you?"
Danzeng hurriedly waved his hands: "He's not a spy! When I was escaping from the mountains, this guy just happened to be driving by, so I hijacked him. He drove me here the whole way. This kid is especially greedy for money; I originally wanted to kill him, but later I discovered his ability to escape is top-notch, so I wanted to groom him. Plus, he has strong survival skills and can find food anywhere."
Lawang's gaze turned sharp: "Just because of this, you dared to bring someone back to the secret base?"
Danzeng offered a fawning smile: "I'm short on men after suffering such losses, aren't I? Let him be my assistant first, train him a bit, and maybe he'll come in handy..."
"Enough!" Lawang slammed the table hard and cursed, "Kill him with your own hands to show me your sincerity. Otherwise, you both die together."
The smile on Danzeng's face froze.
The cabin was quiet for a few seconds.
Soon, He Yuzhu was brought over by two men—he was indeed being carried. He claimed he was too hungry to walk, and the two thugs had no choice but to drag him into Lawang's large boat.
Danzeng looked at He Yuzhu, unable to keep his face straight, and said dryly: "Sorry, brother, I'm the one who brought you here. But our boss insists on killing you and even told me to do it. I can't bring myself to do it... after all, you saved me. If it weren't for you, I wouldn't have been able to escape either."
He Yuzhu ignored him and looked directly at Lawang: "Is this how you treat someone who risked their life to save yours?"
Lawang didn't understand, so he had Danzeng translate.
After Danzeng finished translating, Lawang laughed: "In our line of work, it's better to believe it's true than to believe it's not. Even if you aren't a spy, you won't survive today. It doesn't hurt to tell you—this order really didn't come from me, it came from Rumsfeld. He is a big client of ours here."
He Yuzhu said: "Can I meet him and plead my case?"
"In your dreams! I can't even see him, and you want to?" Lawang sneered after hearing the translation, "Want to see Rumsfeld? In your next life!"
He Yuzhu's gaze suddenly turned cold: "Brother Lawang, leave a way out for others, so we can meet again in the future."
Upon hearing this, and then looking at He Yuzhu's fearless demeanor, Danzeng felt a sudden chill.
He was an extremely sensitive person and suddenly realized—this man, Ma San, was definitely not simple.
There were seven people in the room: Lawang with two Bodyguards, plus the two thugs who dragged He Yuzhu in, and Danzeng.
Lawang "swished" and drew the Dagger from his waist, a cold glint flashing in his eyes as he sneered: "If you won't kill him, I don't mind helping you!"
Before the words had even faded, the Dagger stabbed directly toward He Yuzhu's heart.
He Yuzhu moved.
His hands were still in Handcuffs, but he blocked it with a casual, understated motion—no one saw how he did it, but the Dagger was already in his hand.
With a backhand strike, he stabbed it straight into Lawang's heart.
Lawang's eyes widened, he let out a muffled groan, and collapsed to the floor.
Immediately after, He Yuzhu struck like lightning.
The Handcuffs clattered onto the floor, and his figure flashed halfway around the room.
In less than three seconds, the remaining four people all fell to the ground.
Each of them had a clean, wide gash across their throat, and blood sprayed onto Danzeng's face.
Danzeng stood to the side, his legs turning to jelly.
His brain went "boom," and in an instant, everything became clear—the person who killed his six brothers was the man right in front of him! Yet, all along the way, this guy had been acting like a piece of trash... Is this even human? This is a goddamn deity!
He Yuzhu glanced at him and said indifferently: "Danzeng, do you want to die, or do you want to live?"
Danzeng fell to his knees with a "thud," his voice cracking: "Brother Ma San, spare me! All the money in my account is yours, isn't it just money you're after?"
He Yuzhu chuckled and patted his shoulder: "You're a sensible one. I don't even care for that little bit of money you have. Come with me, find that person named Rumsfeld, and I'll spare your life. Otherwise, I'll go all the way and take care of you too."
It would be a lie to say He Yuzhu didn't hate him—he was the mastermind behind the assassination attempt on Man Yatou.
But this man was familiar with the area, and besides, he could serve as a translator; finding the core figure of this organization wouldn't be easy without someone to lead the way.
Danzeng nodded desperately. At this moment, did he have the guts to say even half a "no"?
Danzeng lowered his voice, his tone once again tinged with excitement: "I know who Lawang's superior is, and I know where he lives. I'll take you there. That guy is very rich, and I heard he even has a vault."
He Yuzhu scanned the corpses on the floor and frowned: "How do we deal with these people?"
"Drive this boat out and dump them in the river, and this boat happens to be able to reach the home of the person I mentioned." Danzeng pointed toward the river surface.
"Fine, you drive the boat, we'll head straight there." He Yuzhu decided decisively, then asked, "What's that person's name? How much power does he have?"
A flash of apprehension crossed Danzeng's eyes: "This person is the famous Zhang Suquan. The old bastard has always been colluding with people from M Country, and the people under him are basically capable of any evil."
He Yuzhu narrowed his eyes: "Does he have an army?"
Danzeng nodded: "He has a large estate, and there are indeed many guards. But the estate is too big, and there are loopholes everywhere. We can pretend to be there to report the situation—we were on a mission sent by them this time. Even if they don't let us in, with your skills, getting in shouldn't be hard, right?" As he spoke, he gave a fawning laugh and buttered him up.
He Yuzhu curled his lips and smiled as well: "Fine. Drive the boat out first, we'll make our move when it gets dark."
"You got it!" Danzeng replied readily.
Danzeng drove the boat out for over ten kilometers, and sure enough, a large estate appeared on the riverbank.
He reached out and pointed: "See that? That's Zhang Suquan's villa."
He Yuzhu looked in the direction he pointed; it was indeed quite grand.
Nestled among dense, tall trees, several French-style villas stood scattered about; just by the color of the exterior walls and the carvings, one could tell it wasn't something an ordinary family could afford.
Danzeng leaned in and whispered: "Some say he has tens of tons of gold alone in his house. If we really robbed him... where would we even transport it to?"
He Yuzhu glanced at him: "You think robbing is that easy? There are at least a hundred Bodyguards in there, and they're all battle-hardened men."
Danzeng chuckled: "With that Kung Fu of yours, what do we have to fear?"
He Yuzhu didn't respond, but his mind was racing—this guy was either missing a few screws or he was setting a trap for him.
