Chapter 962: Judgment Within the Space

~8 min read 1,415 words

No sooner had He Yuzhu stepped into the airplane lavatory than he flashed into the space.

He grabbed Fuli and dragged him from the Death Zone to the Survival Zone like he was dragging a dead dog.

Anyone newly brought into this space first arrives in the Death Zone, where they enter a state of unconsciousness upon entry. If left unattended, they would slowly dry out into jerky.

Once Fuli could finally catch his breath, He Yuzhu didn't say a word; he raised his hand and slapped him left and right, sending blood foam flying from the corners of Fuli's mouth.

Fuli opened his eyes in a daze, only to be met with He Yuzhu's cold face. After taking a look at this hellish place, he understood everything in an instant.

Seeing that Fuli was fully awake, He Yuzhu didn't waste any breath and started kicking him fiercely.

Gold stars exploded before Fuli's eyes, and his ribs cracked with a "snap, snap" sound—he didn't know how many had broken. He curled up on the ground like a boiled shrimp, in so much pain he couldn't even breathe steadily.

Clutching his chest, he squeezed a hoarse curse out of his throat: "It's all that idiot Tenite's fault for delaying me! I told him you were Shadow, but he wouldn't believe it! You really are, you bastard!"

He Yuzhu squatted down, grabbed him by the hair, and cursed: "You bastards have hearts black enough! If you have a grudge against me, come at me! What did the people in our delegation ever do to you? You motherfuckers actually dared to shoot down the whole plane!"

As soon as these words fell, Fuli froze as if he had been hit by a paralysis spell.

This matter was top secret, the kind that wouldn't be declassified for half a century.

Originally, he had only wanted to quietly take He Yuzhu away, but the military brass had forced this "wipe them all out" rotten idea on him. He had harbored doubts at the time: if everyone on the passenger plane died and Huaxia found out, it would be a world-shattering disaster between two great powers.

But that man from the military had patted his chest and guaranteed that absolutely no one would be able to find out they were the ones who did it.

Fuli had thought it over and over—taking He Jian away from the delegation was as hard as ascending to heaven; not only were the procedures illegal, but with He Jian's skills, three or five men couldn't hold him down at all. If he really was Shadow, he would surely escape halfway.

After weighing it back and forth, he finally nodded and followed the military's plan.

Yet from beginning to end, no fourth person knew about this, aside from two or three die-hard confidants.

Now that He Yuzhu had ripped this fig leaf to shreds with a single sentence, Fuli's eyes were almost bulging with blood: "How could you possibly know such a secret!"

He Yuzhu sneered: "You racked your brains to catch me, then suddenly stopped halfway. I'm not a fool; couldn't I guess what kind of crap you were plotting?"

Fuli trembled all over, trying to prop himself up, but fell back down from the pain. He gasped for air and asked: "Then... then how on earth did you get me here? What the hell is this place?"

He Yuzhu looked down at him with a hint of mockery in his eyes: "I'll tell you the truth: I am Shadow. You've been trying to catch me for decades and failing, all because I have this space! Satisfied now?"

Fuli stared with wide eyes, his face full of disbelief: "What is this space? And where am I?"

He Yuzhu said with a smile: "The space is a place where I can put living things, and outsiders can't see them. I have countless munitions in here that I can easily take anywhere in the world—as for us, we are of course still on the plane."

A layer of sinister triumph suddenly appeared on Fuli's face: "It doesn't matter what I say to you; you won't live for more than a few hours. When this plane flies over the Pacific Ocean, it will be locked onto by missiles from Guam Base," he gestured, "Bang! With one sound, this plane will fall! Hahaha..." He actually laughed until he shed tears.

Far from panicking, He Yuzhu pulled the corner of his mouth and laughed out loud: "Is your memory bad? Have you ever thought about how you were brought onto this plane?"

Fuli was stunned for a full three seconds before his face turned cold again: "Hmph! I don't believe you can pilot a UFO and fly around the world at the speed of light."

He Yuzhu laughed even more happily: "What a coincidence! Since I could blow up two of your military bases in one night, what's so hard about blowing up a third or a fourth?"

Fuli looked as if he had been struck by lightning; he stood woodenly on the spot, his eyes bulging as if they were about to fall out, staring fixedly at He Yuzhu, full of horror, unable to wrap his head around it even if it killed him.

He Yuzhu clapped his hands: "Thanks, Fuli. You inadvertently told me the location of Guam. From here to Guam, there are at least seven or eight hours left. This time isn't long, but it's enough for me to visit a few military targets... To put it bluntly, if I really wanted to, I could blow up any place in your country I pleased."

Fuli stiffened his neck, his face turning from blue to white, and gritted his back teeth to hold on: "I don't believe it. Who do you think you are? God?"

He Yuzhu wasn't annoyed; he said with a smile: "God? Maybe it really was Him who saw you jumping around too arrogantly and couldn't stand it anymore, so He let me out to deal with you."

Fuli's brows twisted into a knot, his eyes full of resistance and suspicion; he refused to believe that the person in front of him could play the trick of Space-Time Shuttle on a speeding passenger plane.

He Yuzhu patted his shoulder: "Mr. Fuli, since you've already said the location, why don't you act as my Staff Officer? Which base should I blow up so those lunatics in the military won't be able to hit the plane?"

Fuli hung his head, his lips pressed into a line, saying nothing, as hard as a rock.

He Yuzhu stared at him for two seconds, then suddenly raised his hand and threw a punch, fast and fierce, landing right on his leg—with a crisp "crack," the entire leg bent at a strange angle. The pain made Fuli convulse all over, and cold sweat poured down his temples.

"I'm a simple, honest person by nature. If you don't provoke me, I never start trouble. But you? You keep pushing me to the brink of death. Take this time, for instance: if you hadn't been pushing me step by step, I had originally come to make peace with you, but you always play that zero-sum game with me."

He squatted down and patted Fuli's pale face, "If you honestly tell me everything you should today, I'll give you a quick end. Otherwise, I'll make you wish you were dead."

After being tortured by He Yuzhu for a long time, Fuli finally opened his mouth: "If you want to stop the military from launching missiles, you must destroy the ARSR-4 long-range air warning radar station in Guam—it is the only long-range detection equipment in the entire western Pacific Guam airspace. Once the radar is destroyed, the warships and bombers will completely lose the ability to lock onto the passenger plane from a distance..."

He Yuzhu took out a piece of chocolate and handed it to him: "You're very good. Eat something sweet; your leg will feel better. Keep talking, what other tricks do you have?"

"If you really have the ability of Space-Time Shuttle, you could blow up the ammunition depot at the pier of Apra Naval Port... and destroy the Destroyers docked at the pier..."

"But any Warship could attack a civilian aircraft!" He Yuzhu pressed.

"If all else fails... force the passenger plane to land at Henderson Airport; there are no soldiers left on that island," Fuli said through gritted teeth.
