Chapter 963: Running About Everywhere

~8 min read 1,545 words

He Yuzhu calculated to himself: Henderson Airport on Midway Atoll was undoubtedly the most ideal emergency landing point; after the delegation landed there, they could transfer to a ship to return to the country, which could be called a foolproof plan.

But the current deadlock was how to persuade Director Li and the captain.

If you tell them that M Country is going to attack this plane, Director Li will most likely be unable to make the decision to take a plane full of people and land on an unfamiliar, desolate island.

As the thought settled, He Yuzhu made his decision—then he would continue to act; first, he would take out the radar station at Andersen Air Force Base on Guam, and then blow up Apra Harbor as well.

By that time, the area around Guam would be directly designated as a war zone, and even if the captain were a hundred times reluctant, he would have to obediently change course.

He Yuzhu knew that Director Li carried a small satellite terminal with him, which could receive encrypted text messages from the country and the embassy at any time.

Once the news arrived, not only this plane, but likely all flights on the entire air route would have to be grounded immediately.

With the decision made, He Yuzhu did not hesitate for even a fraction of a second and immediately activated the Space-Time Shuttle.

The system prompt sounded in his ears: "Two tons of gold have been credited; Space-Time Shuttle in progress."

When he opened his eyes again, He Yuzhu was already inside a pitch-black machine room, with a huge, rhythmic mechanical roar echoing all around.

He steadied his gaze and saw that he was standing in the center of the radar station's core machine room.

He quickly scanned the area, confirmed there were no surveillance cameras around, curled the corner of his mouth slightly, took that two-ton High Explosive from his space, and placed it firmly in the most critical position.

Originally, he should have shuttled directly back to the plane after placing the Explosive, but He Yuzhu kept a wary eye—what if that kid Fuli had played him?

A thought struck him; he didn't detonate it immediately, but instead slipped out of the machine room and moved silently along the corridor toward the monitoring room.

Peering through a crack in the door, he saw three technicians inside staring intently at the screens, completely unaware that someone was approaching.

He Yuzhu first cut the surveillance lines in the corridor, then pushed open the door to the monitoring room.

The three people were too focused and hadn't heard a thing. He strode inside, less than twenty meters away from them, and directly activated the Space Collection function; before the three could react, they were swallowed into the depths of the space by an invisible force.

Clean and efficient.

He Yuzhu withdrew quickly and pressed the detonation button without hesitation.

"Boom—!"

With an earth-shattering roar, the massive radar station perched on the mountaintop was torn apart by flames; huge steel components were flung into the night sky like scattered flowers, only to fall one after another amidst the sky-filling firelight.

He Yuzhu stood on a nearby mountaintop, looking at the burning ruins, a cold arc rising at the corner of his mouth as he muttered to himself: "You want to blow up my plane? Then I'll poke your dog eyes out first."

He turned and found a hidden Cave nearby, then released the Asian-looking Engineer from the space.

The Engineer opened his eyes in a daze, caught sight of the sky-filling fire outside the cave, his pupils suddenly constricted, and his face was full of unbelievable terror: "Our radar... how did it catch fire? This, how is this possible?"

He Yuzhu crossed his arms and smiled: "That big guy cost me a full two tons of High Explosive; this time the loss is huge. What is your name?"

The Asian Engineer shook his head desperately, his voice trembling: "Impossible, absolutely impossible... That radar station had a regiment of soldiers stationed there; how could you possibly get in!"

He Yuzhu patted him on the shoulder and said nonchalantly: "I could drag you out of the radar station alive; blowing up a piece of scrap metal is nothing."

The Engineer was still shaking his head, muttering about how it was impossible.

He Yuzhu couldn't be bothered to argue with him about who blew up the radar and cut straight to the point: "You're a technician, tell me honestly: if Guam's missiles are going to shoot down a civilian airliner, besides this radar station, where else can they see it?"

The Asian Engineer kept his mouth shut, putting on an air of being unafraid of boiling water: "My rank is very low; how would I know so much..."

He Yuzhu leaned in close, intending to hit him, but didn't expect that fellow to suddenly lash out, lifting his leg to kick hard at his crotch! Fortunately, He Yuzhu's reaction was far faster than an ordinary person's, and he dodged it by sidestepping, cursing inwardly—this kid looked thin and weak, but his moves were vicious; he had definitely practiced Karate and had almost caught him off guard.

He Yuzhu punched him right in the stomach.

This guy actually started crying "woo-woo-woo" immediately, his face full of grievance, looking just like an innocent person who had suffered a great injustice.

He Yuzhu's mouth twitched, thinking that if this grandson didn't become an actor, it was a waste of talent.

He held back no longer; He Yuzhu swung a punch into his face and cursed: "You son of a bitch can really act! Today, I'll let you taste what pain is too!"

He followed up with several consecutive punches to the most painful key points on his body, each punch making that guy wince and grimace.

After only a few hits, the Engineer couldn't take it anymore, fell to his knees with a "thud," and wailed: "Boss! I, I'm just a technician; I've never killed anyone! Please, spare me!"

He Yuzhu landed another punch and said coldly: "I'm telling you, since you chose to put on this military uniform, you should have the awareness that your head is hanging by your belt. Be honest with me; answer whatever I ask, and I'll ensure you suffer less. If you play any more tricks, I'll make you wish you were dead."

The Asian Engineer knelt on the ground, shivering: "Boss... you've already blown up the radar, what, what else do you want? I beg you, let me go! I'll answer whatever you ask, okay?"

"If you hadn't ambushed me, I hadn't planned on touching you," He Yuzhu said indignantly.

"I, I was wrong... you ask, I'll tell you everything!"

"I've already blown up your radar station; can the Guam Garrison still lock onto a civilian airliner?" He Yuzhu stared at him.

"It's useless even if you blew up the radar at Andersen Air Force Base..." the Engineer shrank his neck, "there is also the long-range early warning radar at Hickam Air Force Base; they can still detect civilian flight paths."

Upon hearing this, He Yuzhu's expression darkened, and he cursed inwardly that the bastard Fuli really had kept an ace up his sleeve.

He suppressed his anger and continued to ask: "Then if I blow up the radars at both of these bases, can they still lock on?"

The Asian Engineer was silent for a moment, then timidly bargained: "If, if I tell you everything... can you let me go?"

He Yuzhu laughed, a laugh that made the Engineer's heart crawl.

The next second, he kicked the other party in the stomach and cursed: "Are you going to talk or not? If you bargain with me again, I'll make you beg for death!"

"There's one more! There's one more!" The Engineer curled up on the ground in pain and hissed, "The AN/FLR-9 large long-range radar at the Misawa Base in the little Japan! It can scan the entire Western Pacific; even if Guam is completely scrapped, they can still lock on!"

After hearing this, He Yuzhu laughed instead: "Good, then this time I'll take out the little Japan's nest along with it."

The Engineer was completely limp, begging with his face full of misery: "Boss, please let me go... I promise to disappear from the world from now on and never appear again..."

He Yuzhu didn't waste any more words, knocked him unconscious with a punch, and tossed him into the "Dead Zone" in the space, intending to see how the situation developed before deciding how to deal with him.

After handling all this, He Yuzhu glanced down at his watch, his pupils shrinking slightly—the plane was already approaching the border of M Country, and every second was sliding toward a more dangerous situation.

That group of military people could pull the trigger at any time and fire missiles at the civilian airliner; time was already pressing and could not be delayed.

He Yuzhu took a deep breath, then activated the Space-Time Shuttle again; his figure instantly vanished from the spot, heading straight for the Hickam radar base—he had to completely blind those "eyes" staring at them before the plane flew across the border.
