Chapter 25: Chu Xuan, Soldier, Specializes in Intelligence Analysis (Please Follow!)
As for the emotional affairs of future teammates, Wu Xian had no intention of interfering; after briefly worrying about the future tone of the Zhongzhou team, he shifted his gaze to a young man nearby, roughly his own age and with a fairly pleasant appearance.
If he wasn’t mistaken, this must be the college graduate rumored to be able to match Zheng Zhe in strength, outwit Chu Xuan, and even be reincarnated as Di Jun in some fan fiction—Li Shuaixi.
But unfortunately, unless the man’s acting could fool Wu Xian’s spiritual scan, then in this shifted state, he was merely an ordinary human—the Golden Dream plotline was doomed not to happen.
And next came the final third person…
“How much longer are you going to pretend?”
Wu Xian glanced at the man in the corner—ordinary-looking, wearing black-rimmed glasses—and said calmly, “Since you’re awake, introduce yourself. With your caliber, you can’t be an ordinary person in the real world.”
The moment he finished speaking, the man opened his eyes, rose, yet remained seated on the metal floor.
He looked up at Wu Xian and the others, utterly composed; his black eyes were unnervingly calm, as deep and unfathomable as the universe, giving the eerie impression that one’s soul might be drawn into them.
“Chu Xuan. Occupation: soldier, administrative. Skilled in analyzing and summarizing intelligence.”
After a two-second silence, the glasses-wearer—no, Chu Xuan himself—delivered his self-introduction in the simplest possible terms.
Then he looked down at the Master God wristwatch and identity plaque on his hands, scanned the room once more, and continued:
“Based on my observations, the metal composing this room does not belong to any alloy ever known on Earth. The technology level of the surrounding equipment is also exceptionally refined, far exceeding any need for a reality show set.”
“Most importantly, the location I was previously in was highly secretive. No person or organization on Earth could have removed me without a trace. I recall clearly that the last thing I did before losing consciousness was clicking a pop-up window that resembled a computer virus.”
“Combining this information with the text displayed on the wristwatch and the identity plaque marked ‘WELAND·TANGGU COMPANY,’ I can confidently conclude that some unknown mysterious force has transported us into the world of the movie ‘Alien 1’…”
Chu Xuan sat on the floor, speaking fluently. Though his tone remained as flat as still water, devoid of any emotion, all members of the Zhongzhou team except Wu Xian were internally shaken, their gazes toward him deepening, subtly tinged with respect.
There was no help for it—slackers viewed geniuses this way.
“Interesting… He didn’t reveal his rank as Senior Colonel, nor mention the Dragon Hidden Base. Has he realized that all current Zhongzhou team members are no longer ordinary people?”
On the other side, Wu Xian’s gaze toward Chu Xuan held a hint of amusement, but after a moment’s thought, he understood the reason.
It was easy to grasp. Not to mention himself, the superpowered anomaly, even the most fragile-looking member of the team, Zhan Lan, had experience fighting face-to-face with a Licker.
The aura she exuded was no longer the same—she rivaled professional mercenaries.
Not to mention the towering figure beside them, Mu Gang, over two meters thirty tall, clad in a full-body vibranium battle suit. Merely standing there, his sheer physique radiated overwhelming intimidation.
Facing such a group of elite warriors, to immediately try to exert pressure through rank and governmental authority, aiming to seize partial leadership…
Such a move isn’t entirely useless, but far more likely to backfire immediately, provoking rejection from seasoned members. Anyone with half a brain wouldn’t do it—let alone Chu Xuan, a T0-level intellect.
“Clang! Clang! Clang!”
The sound of metal clashing echoed as Wu Xian clapped his hands, then smiled at Chu Xuan with clear appreciation:
“Good. I can tell you’re truly skilled at intelligence analysis—and sharp enough to immediately demonstrate your value to us.”
“But even so, you’re only a candidate member of the Zhongzhou Reincarnation team. To join us officially, you must demonstrate greater value—and survive long enough to return to the Master God Space.”
As he spoke, Wu Xian glanced at Lingdian, who had woken but was still pretending to be unconscious, and smirked: “The sniper over there—that applies to you too.”
At these words, Lingdian’s shoulders trembled slightly.
Knowing he was exposed, he stood up from the floor. But upon seeing the futuristic armor of Wu Xian and the others, the ice-cold assassin paused, stunned for a long moment, before finally forcing out a cold tone: “Lingdian. Occupation: assassin. Skilled in… sniping.”
As he spoke, Lingdian glanced at Wu Xian—but didn’t ask any stupid question like, “How did you know I’m a sniper?”
The true top-tier assassins had many ways to identify their kind, discerning their combat style from subtle movements and habits.
Lingdian had met such people before, mistakenly assuming Wu Xian was one—unaware this man had simply read the script.
Just now, when he said “sniper,” it was merely theatrical showmanship—an attempt to deliver a small psychological shock to this “most reliable man of Zhongzhou team,” to win him over faster and integrate him into the team’s atmosphere.
Meanwhile, Chu Xuan, expression unchanged, glanced at Wu Xian, adjusted his glasses, and a glint reflected off the lenses as he said:
“Zhongzhou Reincarnation team, Master God Space… Could you please explain exactly what these two terms mean?”
“Of course, but wait a moment.”
Wu Xian nodded, then turned to Zhan Lan beside him and smiled: “Zhan Lan, go wake everyone up. Then you’ll explain the Master God Space. Oh, and if anyone tries to cause trouble, use this as practice for the techniques I taught you.”
Before each horror film begins, the Master God awards 100 reward points to the Reincarnator who explains the setting to newcomers.
Though not much, even small gains add up—and might prove crucial later.
Considering Zhan Lan was an extremely rare spiritual force controller and the only female member of the team, Wu Xian decided to entrust her with explaining the setting. The other three men had no objections.
“Hehe! Thanks! When we get back, I’ll cook you all a big feast!”
Zhan Lan smiled brightly, her gaze toward Wu Xian carrying an unreadable hue.
But hearing this, Wu Xian’s mouth twitched, and he quickly waved his hand in refusal: “No thanks. I’ve eaten too many eggs lately. Just exchange some rare ingredients for me—dragon liver, phoenix marrow, something like that. It won’t cost many reward points anyway.”
“Hmph! Steel straight man! May you be single for life!”
Zhan Lan sniffed, then raised two fingers of her left hand and pressed them against her temples.
The next instant, a faint spiritual force ripple spread, sweeping across the entire room, and the newcomers still lying unconscious on the floor slowly stirred awake.
Soon, the previously silent room grew noisy.
