The wand was pointed directly at the wooden desk in front of them, and the desk actually began to sprout branches under the influence of the magic.

Withered wood meets spring!

Dumbledore, witnessing everything with his own eyes, wore a look of shock on his face and muttered, "Unbelievable, truly unbelievable! This surging life energy is as if nature itself is casting the spell."

"For a long time, magic has always appeared in the form of pure energy."

"Even among wizards, there is a distinction between White and Dark wizards, and magic has special examples like Dark Magic, but essentially, it is all just pure magic. This is the first time in my life I have encountered magic that naturally carries such a specific trait!"

Dumbledore seemed to have discovered a treasure, his face filled with a child-like, innocent, and joyful smile.

By the time Chu Yang's magic dissipated, a small tree had grown on the desk, nearly reaching the ceiling, and the vines below had sprouted ivy and colorful little flowers.

The portraits on the wall could no longer contain themselves and began to argue noisily.

"Amazing! This is truly a beautiful sight!"

"This completely subverts my understanding. That child achieved such an astonishing effect without casting any incantation."

"Dumbledore, hurry and capture him for study! Perhaps he could spark a great era!"

Chu Yang slowly raised his head and stared coldly at the portrait that was clamoring to have him captured.

【Phineas Nigellus Black】

The first Headmaster to graduate from Slytherin, and also the most unpopular Headmaster in Hogwarts history! He was also the great-great-grandfather of Harry's godfather, "Sirius" Black.

In short... he was the most annoying one among the many headmaster portraits! "Let's not say that, Headmaster Phineas." Dumbledore straightened his beard and even wiped his glasses, "He is about to enter Slytherin; strictly speaking, he is your junior."

"What?" Phineas suddenly flew into a rage! Only a bloody mouth remained in the frame, and he roared, "I will never allow a Muggle-born child to enter the great Slytherin House!"

Phineas had just heard the conversation between Chu Yang and Dumbledore and knew Chu Yang was from an orphanage.

As for Dumbledore's later claim that Chu Yang might be the descendant of a famous Eastern wizarding family, Phineas did not take it seriously.

He hadn't used Legilimency on Chu Yang, so naturally, he couldn't agree with Dumbledore's view.

"You've been dead for over sixty years, why are you still clinging to that boring blood-purity theory?" A female headmaster spoke up with sarcasm, and it was clear she held Phineas in contempt.

Chu Yang glanced at her name.

【Dilys Derwent】

Before becoming a famous headmistress in Hogwarts history, she was the Head Healer at St. Mungo's Hospital for Magical Maladies and Injuries.

Dilys became headmistress long before Phineas, so when she spoke, Phineas usually kept his mouth shut.

When both portraits quieted down, Chu Yang asked, "Why are you sorting me into Slytherin?"

Dumbledore was silent for a moment before saying, "Slytherin is an excellent house, but they are overly dogmatic in their views on certain things. As Headmaster, I cannot forcefully interfere with the students' thoughts."

"The person who changes their thinking is best if they are a student just like them."

Chu Yang frowned, "Why choose me?"

Dumbledore explained, "The person they must be convinced by must be a wizard from a Muggle family, otherwise it has no meaning. But such wizards usually don't have high aptitude and can't accomplish this, while you possess extraordinary potential..." Chu Yang was skeptical; he always felt that this seemingly kind old man was actually full of schemes.

Suddenly, he remembered Dumbledore's savior-transformation plan for Harry Potter.

Good heavens, could he be using me as an insurance policy? The more Chu Yang thought about it, the more he felt it was possible. But in the current situation, it was hard for him to refuse Dumbledore's arrangement; after all, the compensation they had agreed upon might disappear along with it.

"Fine, Slytherin it is. However, I must say this first: if those classmates are not friendly toward me, I will firmly retaliate when it is time to strike back, and you cannot blame me then!"

They're just a bunch of pre-graduate dark wizards-in-training; I'm the one who beats up dark wizards! Seeing Chu Yang rubbing his hands, Dumbledore smiled and teased, "If you feel your safety is threatened, you can of course retaliate on your own. There is no problem at all; I can guarantee you that!"

"In that case, I am very happy to join Slytherin House." Chu Yang bowed slightly and reminded him, "Please also remember our agreement!"

"I never break my word." Dumbledore winked playfully at Chu Yang, looking every bit the mischievous old man.

Then he summoned a house-elf and said to it, "Please invite Professor Snape over."

The elf quickly vanished from the Headmaster's office.

Hearing Snape's name, Chu Yang sighed silently in his heart.

If one were to name the most tragic figure in the Harry Potter world, it would be him.

The girl he loved was seduced away by the boy who bullied him all day, and he still had to risk his life to protect their son.

Severus Snape's deep affection for Lily Evans was worthy of respect.

But it also made one feel it was pathetic and foolish.

Asking himself, Chu Yang felt that if he were in Snape's shoes, he would certainly find a way to kill James Potter first, if nothing else.

The hanging-upside-down humiliation in his fifth year dealt a devastating blow to Snape's life, leading him to part ways with his lifelong love, Lily Evans.

Perhaps from Harry's perspective, James Potter was a great father; from the perspective of friends like "Sirius" Black, James Potter was a trustworthy friend.

But from the objective perspective of a bystander, they were just a bunch of jerks, even more so than Draco Malfoy.

So, how one views a person as good or bad depends entirely on one's own perspective.

About ten minutes later, Snape, who had been delivering the freshmen to Slytherin, arrived late. He first greeted Dumbledore respectfully, then looked at Chu Yang with indifference.

The shocking performance in the Great Hall lingered in Snape's mind.

He still remembered Professor McGonagall saying the Sorting Hat couldn't decide the child's future, and now Dumbledore had called him to the office. As for why, it went without saying.

Sure enough, Dumbledore spoke the next second, "Professor Snape, from today on, Chu Yang is a student of Slytherin. Take him to the dormitory."

You're letting a little wizard from an orphanage enter Slytherin?

Snape could fully imagine how difficult Chu Yang's days ahead would be!
