Chapter 35: What to do if your roommates aren't friendly?
He looked at Dumbledore in confusion. Could it be that the other party wanted to kill this child?
Dumbledore did not explain to Snape, but shook his head, signaling him not to ask more, his eyes urging him to take Chu Yang away quickly.
Snape snorted coldly, bowed slightly to Dumbledore, and turned to leave.
"Thank you for your hospitality, Headmaster Dumbledore. The snacks here are very good." Chu Yang bowed politely and followed Snape out.
Dumbledore watched their departing backs until the door closed tight.
The entrance to the Slytherin dormitory and common room was located in the dungeons of Hogwarts.
Hufflepuff House was also located here.
The two houses were in opposite directions, separated by the Hogwarts kitchens, where hundreds of house-elves worked.
Chu Yang followed Snape back onto the path where the freshmen had entered the school's main entrance from the cavern dock, then took another fork in the road.
Not long after, Chu Yang saw a damp stone wall blocking the way.
This scene was exactly the same as the back door of the Leaky Cauldron.
"Pure-blood!"
Snape said the password proudly and glanced at Chu Yang. The stone wall then opened with a rumble, and a small path paved with pebbles appeared under their feet.
The two walked deep along the path, and a spacious common room suddenly appeared.
The surrounding walls were made of black Gothic marble, and the ceiling was a transparent semicircle carved from crystal, through which one could see the shimmering light above.
This place was at the bottom of the lake, or more accurately, at the bottom of the Black Lake.
Chu Yang looked up.
He could see fish and some huge marine creatures swimming outside through the windows.
Green-glowing lamps were chained to the ceiling. Inside, there was a fireplace with an exquisitely carved mantelpiece.
Both sides of the common room led to the boys' and girls' dormitories.
Snape stood at the entrance and said coldly, "You don't expect me to help you find your bed, do you?"
"Thank you."
Despite Snape's cold attitude, Chu Yang still said goodbye to him very politely.
"Slytherin is different from other houses. The students here have strong hostility toward non-pure-blood wizards. If you don't have the ability to protect yourself, leave early, so you don't end up losing your life here." Snape added abruptly.
Then he walked out of the common room without looking back.
Sharp tongue, soft heart.
Watching Snape's proud back, Chu Yang shook his head and walked up the stairs leading to the boys' dormitory.
Chu Yang walked into the room and saw a row of beds with dark green curtains. Unlike the relatively pleasant atmosphere of Gryffindor, the Slytherin boys were somewhat serious. They weren't excitedly playing around in the dormitory, but were preparing to decide who would be the leader of the room.
As for what they were comparing...
Naturally, it was their family background, which they were proud of. Whoever had a more illustrious family background had more say and dominance in the room.
Draco Malfoy wasn't here, so for a moment, these boys couldn't decide who was superior.
But one thing was certain... a non-pure-blood like Chu Yang must have the lowest status.
"Why are you here!" Goyle, who was arguing, saw Chu Yang standing at the dormitory door and immediately started shouting.
The freshmen all shifted their eyes to Chu Yang, then remembered the astonishing scene in the Great Hall earlier.
"Isn't he Muggle-born? How could he be sorted into Slytherin?" Crabbe and Goyle, who knew Chu Yang's background, whispered to the freshmen around them. After a while, everyone knew Chu Yang's true identity. The freshmen who had just wanted to welcome Chu Yang immediately changed their faces. Everyone tacitly formed a united front and stared at him with hostile eyes.
"Excuse me, please get out. This is the great Slytherin House, not a place for non-pure-blood wizards like you. You must have taken the wrong turn." Blaise Zabini, with his dark skin, stepped out and looked at Chu Yang with a look of contempt and disgust.
Chu Yang looked at this group of classmates who regarded him as an enemy, and the corners of his mouth rose slightly, "You don't like me appearing here, and as it happens, I have the same thought. Even when I was at the orphanage, I only liked sleeping in a separate room!"
"A shared dormitory really doesn't suit me, so you'd better roll out obediently and let me sleep in peace. Otherwise, many people might not be able to attend class tomorrow, and if Slytherin gets points deducted, I'll be in trouble."
"A lowly Mudblood dares to threaten us?" Chu Yang's attitude stimulated Blaise's pure-blood wizard pride, "This isn't your territory, Easterner!"
"I remember that Africa doesn't seem to have the profession of wizard; there are only shamans there." Chu Yang immediately sneered, "I heard your ancestors learned magic in a cotton field."
Blaise, who had African heritage, flew into a rage! He rushed straight at Chu Yang, intending to let this thin Easterner feel his strength! The scene was somewhat comical; Blaise, who prided himself on being a pure-blood wizard, actually wanted to use his fists to teach someone a lesson because he hadn't learned any offensive magic yet.
And while the conflict between Blaise and Chu Yang broke out, Goyle and Crabbe retreated with tacit understanding. They still believed that Malfoy's encounter might have something to do with Chu Yang.
The two were stupid, but their intuition was quite sharp.
How much threat could an eleven-year-old's fist have?
Chu Yang didn't even bother to dodge, seized the opportunity, and kicked Blaise in the abdomen.
Blaise felt a huge force hit him hard. As the pain struck, his consciousness began to blur, and he only felt like he was flying.
In fact, he was indeed kicked away by Chu Yang. After landing, he slid several meters on the smooth floor and was shoved under the bed by inertia.
Blaise immediately fell into a state of dizziness.
The others were even more startled! With just a casual kick, the strong Blaise was kicked unconscious by Chu Yang.
"Damn it, let's go together and drive him out of Slytherin!"
The crowd swarmed up, intending to overwhelm Chu Yang with numbers, and the sound of fighting also attracted freshmen from other dormitories.
After learning the ins and outs of the matter, they resolutely joined the camp against Chu Yang.
At this time, Goyle and Crabbe retreated again with tacit understanding.
Their intuition remained accurate.
In a few breaths, a group of eleven-year-olds lay on the ground foaming at the mouth.
Chu Yang clapped his hands and smiled at the two, "If you don't mind, please take this trash out when you leave. It's best not to disturb my sleep, okay?"
Goyle and Crabbe nodded frantically like chickens pecking at rice.
Afterward, Chu Yang found a bed by the window where he could appreciate the mysterious creatures at the bottom of the lake, nimbly took off his robe, crawled into the soft quilt, closed his eyes, and revealed a comfortable smile.
Goyle and Crabbe carefully carried the boys out of the room one by one, fearing they would disturb Chu Yang's sleep.
While carrying Blaise, Goyle had a moment of distraction, causing Blaise's head to bump against the bed leg, making a dull sound.
Chu Yang's eyelids moved, but he didn't open them, only showing an impatient expression.
Goyle and Crabbe were scared out of their wits, shaking while slowly dragging people out of the room.
When the two closed the door on tiptoe, Chu Yang smiled and completely entered dreamland.
Looking at the freshmen lying in the common room, Goyle and Crabbe, who were sweating profusely, looked bitter and each found a comfortable sofa to lie down on.
The fireplace fire was burning brightly, but it couldn't dispel the dampness on the ground.
After all, this was at the bottom of the Black Lake. If these freshmen lay like this until dawn, most of them would catch a cold.
