Chapter 206: Is this Miss Shan Shan Huizi of ETO? Your Master

~6 min read 1,039 words

In the council chamber of the Three-Body Game.

Constant noisy arguments erupted, voices of over twenty ETO members rising and falling.

“This blatantly violates the laws of physics!”

Mozi’s body trembled violently with agitation.

The image of Rojie leaping from the conference hall into space looped endlessly in the center of the hall.

Mozi pointed at the image, his face filled with disbelief, shouting: “How could humans possibly break through the second cosmic velocity using only bodily strength?”

Even with the undeniable fact before his eyes, he found it hard to believe that Rojie had actually jumped from the Planetary Defense Council’s conference hall straight out into space.

This is not scientific at all.

“Gene technology is the key!”

Aristotle suddenly spoke up.

“Have Itachi all forgotten?”

“Rojie is humanity’s greatest biologist; his mastery of gene technology may surpass even our wildest imaginings.”

“Perhaps he has long secretly enhanced his own genome, granting him such terrifying power.”

The crowd erupted in chaos.

Someone countered: “That’s impossible—everything he’s done since becoming a Wallbreaker has been recorded by the Sophons.”

“How could he possibly evade the Sophons’ surveillance?”

Another shouted angrily: “Gene technology? This is clearly a miracle.”

“It exceeds the bounds of our scientific understanding—only God could accomplish such a thing.”

“Bullshit!”

Another immediately retorted, face flushed, roaring:

“We have only one god—that is my Lord.”

“If Itachi’re so devout, why are Itachi still here?”

“Go defect to the PDC, go to your God, and betray us all!”

At that moment, Qin Shi Huang appeared inside the hall.

His cold gaze swept over the arguing crowd, silencing them.

“Be silent.”

Once all eyes turned to him,

Qin Shi Huang spoke: “Rojie’s power has far exceeded our comprehension. Existing scientific theories cannot explain this.”

“But I believe the Lord understands the reason.”

“Yet many have betrayed the organization because of this.”

“Our numbers have dwindled.”

Aristotle sneered, his eyes brimming with contempt: “Just a bunch of traitors. With the Lord’s aid, ETO will never perish.”

But Qin Shi Huang’s next words plunged everyone into icy dread.

His face grim, he spoke slowly, each word deliberate: “The Lord has vanished.”

At these words, everyone’s expressions turned to shock.

A chorus of startled cries filled the hall.

“What do Itachi mean?”

“What do Itachi mean by ‘vanished’?”

Fear etched every face.

Qin Shi Huang took a deep breath and continued: “The Lord has ceased all contact with us. The Sophons have sent no messages.”

The room fell into deathly silence, broken only by heavy breathing.

Moments later, someone cried out in anguish: “Has the Lord abandoned us?”

“Could the Lord be afraid too?”

“That’s impossible!”

Qin Shi Huang cut off their wailing again.

“Quiet!”

“Perhaps even Rojie has surpassed the Lord’s expectations.”

“The Lord is likely now focusing all his energy on confronting Rojie.”

“During this time, halt all collective actions. Avoid frequenting the Three-Body Game. Remain hidden. Do not forget your duties.”

“Whoever exposes their identity is a traitor to the organization.”

Perhaps Qin Shi Huang’s calming words took effect—the crowd gradually recovered from their shock.

Aristotle was the first to shout: “Overthrow human tyranny, the world belongs to the Three-Body!”

The others snapped back to awareness, fists clenched, chanting in unison: “Overthrow human tyranny, the world belongs to the Three-Body!”

Their voices echoed throughout the council chamber.

Soon, as streams of data flickered, their figures vanished from the Three-Body Game, leaving only an empty council chamber.

……

The Intercontinental Hotel beside the Planetary Defense Council headquarters.

Heavy velvet curtains blocked the blinding sunlight outside.

Shan Shan Huizi exited the Three-Body Game.

The coffee on the table had long gone cold.

She had spent a considerable time inside the game.

Shan Shan Huizi’s identity in the Three-Body Game was Aristotle; in the real world, she was the wife of the Third Wallbreaker, Bill Hines.

She was also Hines’s future Wallbreaker.

Shan Shan Huizi rubbed her throbbing temples, as if the arguments from the council chamber still echoed in her ears.

Just as she was about to rise and leave the room,

a knock came at the door.

Shan Shan Huizi’s expression changed.

Who could be knocking at this hour?

Though her mind was full of doubt, her voice remained calm: “Who is it?”

“Miss Shan Shan Huizi of ETO, hello.”

“We are not hotel staff.”

“Please step out.”

A deliberately drawn-out tone came from beyond the door.

The air froze instantly.

Shan Shan Huizi’s pupils contracted sharply—she was about to reach for her pistol from the desk drawer—

when a squad of armed soldiers burst through the door.

“Drop your weapon!”

Shan Shan Huizi scanned the group, abandoned resistance, and allowed cold handcuffs to snap onto her wrists as they led her out of the room.

As she was escorted toward the elevator, a familiar figure suddenly appeared at the end of the corridor.

It was her husband, Hines.

Hines wore a crisp suit, his eyes bloodshot, watching Shan Shan Huizi pass by.

Even now, he could hardly believe his own wife was an ETO member.

But this was the list provided by the Three-Bodies, backed by concrete evidence—there could be no mistake about his wife’s identity.

At that moment, Shan Shan Huizi halted abruptly, her voice chillingly calm.

The soldiers’ gun barrels pressed against her back, yet her gaze locked onto her husband.

“How was I exposed?”

Hines’s lips moved, unwilling to answer—but finally, he spoke.

“Your own Lord sold Itachi out.”

“It’s part of the Three-Body civilization’s offer of peace.”

“They’re using the ETO membership list to prove their sincerity for negotiations.”

Shan Shan Huizi froze, her eardrums buzzing.

“That’s impossible…”

She murmured to herself, her fingernails digging deep into her palm.

“The Lord would never abandon us.”

“Enough.” Hines turned away, refusing to look at her.

“Take her away.”

Soldiers roughly shoved Shan Shan Huizi into the elevator.

Before the elevator doors closed, Shan Shan Huizi cast one final glance at her husband’s back.

But the soldiers’ bodies blocked her view, and she could not see clearly.

Soon, the elevator doors slowly closed, and Shan Shan Huizi stared at her reflection in the mirrored surface.

"So that really was a divine miracle?"

"Has the Lord lost?"
