Chapter 208: Luo Jie Is Also a Tian Zha—he

Hua Ye’s eyes widened, a broken whimper escaping his throat.

In the instant the Dark Suyin watermelon knife pierced his chest, searing pain exploded.

He trembled as he looked down, seeing his own twisted reflection on the blade.

“How is this possible?”

“How could I die?”

“I was meant to become a god…”

Hua Ye’s voice held none of its former arrogance.

Luo Jie looked down at the dying Hua Ye with contempt: “No matter how flashy an angel, one knife strike and he’s flat on his back.”

“Hua Ye, your face is truly ugly like this.”

With a graceful pull, Luo Jie withdrew his blade; thick blood coalesced into floating droplets in the zero-gravity void.

Luo Jie turned to face the still-advancing angel fleet and shouted: “Hua Ye is dead. If Itachi don’t want to die with him, surrender now.”

His voice echoed through every ship’s communication system.

The battlefield fell into an eerie silence.

Behind countless ship windows, the Tian Zha stared at each other; some lowered their weapons trembling, others stood frozen.

After all, Luo Jie’s earlier feat of tanking the main cannon had left them stunned—no one dared doubt his power.

And now that Hua Ye was dead, the Tian Zha had lost their anchor.

Several medium-sized ships were the first to declare surrender; more and more vessels began to waver, surrender signals rising in waves.

Yet a few stubborn Tian Zha still held out, their ships resisting fiercely.

The Tian Zha aboard those ships roared: “Don’t be fooled—he’s bluffing! Fire the main cannons, blast him to pieces!”

“Angels can’t survive direct hits from ship main cannons!”

“He won’t last!”

A dozen ships formed a formation, their cannons locking onto Luo Jie and unleashing torrents of energy.

Luo Jie sneered, his wings fully unfurling.

He charged straight into the barrage, the two Dark Suyin watermelon knives becoming streaks of light, slicing every enemy ship before him.

Wherever he passed, metal tore open and fire erupted.

A massive mothership tried to crush him with its hull; Luo Jie didn’t dodge—he smashed straight through it.

He tore through its interior, destroying the core chamber and weapon systems, then burst out the other side as the entire mothership exploded behind him into a colossal fireball.

The battle lasted three full hours.

Countless ship wrecks floated in the starry void, the flames painting the region crimson.

Luo Jie hovered at the center of the battlefield; every last hardline fleet had been dealt with.

Not a single ship escaped—every one was utterly destroyed.

Though not as grand as two thousand firecrackers on Spring Festival, it was still a spectacular fireworks show of hundreds of explosions.

This was mainly because, under Hua Ye’s Tiangong order, the entire angel civilization was not highly centralized, but merely a loose alliance.

Beyond institutional reasons, Hua Ye’s rule was unstable—he had only recently stabbed his own father with Frost Sorrow less than a thousand years ago.

The number of ships under Tiangong alone was never large.

Moreover, angel civilization prioritized individual combat power over building massive fleets.

When the smoke cleared, the surrendered fleets lined up neatly before Luo Jie.

Luo Jie flew to the front of the fleet, scanning each ship: “From today, the old Tiangong order is ended.”

The surviving Tian Zha stepped out of their ships one by one, kneeling on one knee without much resistance.

They thought to themselves: Hua Ye himself had rebelled against his father—so why should it be strange if he was overthrown by Luo Jie?

This was ancestral practice in angel civilization.

Intangible cultural heritage!

Besides, Luo Jie himself was a Tian Zha—roughly speaking, we’re all the same kind. Changing leaders doesn’t seem like such a big deal.

Soon enough, they’d probably still be playing music and dancing as before.

At that moment, four ships suddenly emerged from the depths of space, having detected the battle and heading straight for the battlefield.

They slammed on their brakes just beyond main cannon range, their hulls shaking violently.

“This is the Melo Star Patrol Unit. Who are Itachi?”

“What just happened here?”

The patrol’s voice crackled through the comms, cold and bureaucratic.

The surrendered Tian Zha all turned their gazes to Luo Jie, awaiting their new leader’s orders.

Luo Jie raised an eyebrow, calmly activating the comm: “We are Tiangong forces. We’ve just eliminated the anti-angel faction led by Hua Ye.”

“Melo Star is nearby—could we dock for rest and repairs?”

The patrol fell silent for a moment, then replied: “We must consult our superiors. Please wait.”

While waiting, Luo Jie began organizing the surrendered Tian Zha.

He restructured the fleet, salvaged usable ship wreckage, and treated wounded Tian Zha.

Soon, a smaller fleet approached from afar.

A small shuttle detached from the fleet and drifted slowly closer.

When the shuttle docked, its hatch opened and a female angel with pale golden hair stepped out.

She wore ornate silver armor etched with gleaming golden patterns, followed by several other well-equipped angels.

“I am Kesha, only daughter of the Melo Star Lord.”

Kesha’s voice was clear; her gaze swept the surroundings before settling on Luo Jie.

“Who are Itachi?”

“Can Itachi explain in detail what happened here?”

Luo Jie nodded slightly: “I come from Tiangong. I’ve just killed Hua Ye and his followers.”

“Now I need a place to rest. I hope Melo Star can offer assistance.”

Kesha’s heart jolted.

Hua Ye is dead?

She’d heard that name since she was in diapers—now someone claimed to have slain this ancient demon, and she couldn’t help but be stunned.

Though Hua Ye had ruled for only a thousand years, for Kesha, he had ruled since her birth.

This was because, under Tiangong’s order, female angels’ lifespans were capped at a thousand years.

Un-crowned Kesha was indeed among the younger generation of angels.

Kesha stared at Luo Jie, her eyes filled with caution.

After a moment, she spoke: “I can grant your request, but Itachi must abide by Melo Star’s rules.”

Kesha appeared calm, but her mind was calculating.

Better to lure Luo Jie and his men into her own territory than let them drift in space, potentially launching surprise attacks on Melo Star.

Melo Star’s defenses were strong; even if they had ulterior motives, they’d just fought a massive battle and had few ships left—they couldn’t cause much trouble.

Melo Star had the strength to control the situation.

Luo Jie’s lips curled into a knowing smile: “Miss Kesha, rest assured—we mean no harm.”

“I’m certain our stay on Melo Star will foster a strong cooperative relationship.”
