Chapter 213: The Bald Egg and the Boiled Egg: To Peek Into the Future, Buy a Ticket First

~6 min read 1,097 words

Several days later, sunlight slanted into Rojie’s office.

His phone suddenly rang, the screen flashing Tony’s name.

Rojie picked it up casually: “Hey, busy man, what brings Itachi to me?”

From the other end came Tony’s lazy voice, mixed with the clinking of mechanical parts.

“Don’t flatter yourself—I didn’t come looking for Itachi. It’s S.H.I.E.L.D. that wants to talk to Itachi.”

Rojie raised an eyebrow: “S.H.I.E.L.D.?”

Tony snorted: “Full name’s Strategic Homeland Enforcement, Enforcement, and Logistics Division—way too long.”

“Their director, Nick Fury, is a one-eyed bald guy. I’ve dealt with him plenty.”

Rojie burst out laughing: “I know that Egghead.”

“Huh, Itachi know him too?” Tony’s voice held surprise.

“Yep, that Egghead.”

Rojie grinned deliberately: “I know more than that—like how some genius inventor is a one-second wonder in bed.”

“Bullshit, what are Itachi talking about?”

Tony instantly bristled.

They bantered over the phone for a while, until Tony finally stopped, cleared his throat, and said: “Seriously, that Egghead’s putting together the Avengers Initiative, recruiting superheroes everywhere.”

“He probably heard about your skills and asked me to tell Itachi—he’s coming to visit this afternoon.”

“Avengers?”

Rojie chuckled: “What a lame name. Better call it the Justice League.”

Rojie suddenly remembered: “By the way, do Itachi remember that superhero company I mentioned before?”

“I’m starting it—Walt Company. What do Itachi think?”

“Walt Company?” Tony’s voice dripped with disdain.

“That name’s worse than Avengers. Sounds like a bottled water brand.”

“But if Itachi wanna mess around, go ahead—Itachi just launched that Paradise Group, didn’t Itachi?”

“And it’s a tech company.”

At this, Tony laughed.

“When Itachi go bankrupt, let me know—I’ll buy it cheap and turn it into a scrapyard for Stark Industries’ junk parts.”

Tony was about to keep roasting, but the line went dead.

Furious, Tony yelled into the phone: “Hey, I wasn’t done talking!”

On the other end, Rojie put down the phone, stroked his chin, and fell into thought.

The Avengers are already forming—looks like the plot’s about to kick off.

But he had no interest in it; his mind drifted to Walt Company from The Boys, the corporation that controlled superheroes.

Maybe he should build his own superhero company—package them as idols, form them into groups, debut them—make money and watch the drama unfold.

He acted immediately, contacting Gwen through the Dark Dimension while she was out running errands.

Poor Gwen, sweating under the blazing sun handling Paradise Group’s paperwork, exhausted like a fish out of water, thought her boss was giving her a bonus—only to get a new task.

Fuming, Gwen stomped her foot, nearly ready to storm back to the office and argue.

But remembering she couldn’t beat Rojie, she gritted her teeth, swallowed her tears, accepted the new job, and went back to being a worker bee.

Time slipped to afternoon. Rojie brewed a cup of black tea and lounged on the sofa, waiting for Nick Fury to arrive.

Suddenly, his expression shifted—he sensed something.

Someone was watching him.

More precisely, peeking into his future.

Did Itachi buy a ticket?

How dare Itachi spy!

Just as Rojie prepared to unleash his power and kick out the intruder, he spotted an old woman appearing at the second-floor staircase.

She had an ordinary face—but a gleaming, bald head.

Rojie couldn’t help mentally grumbling.

The Egghead hasn’t arrived yet, but the boiled egg already showed up.

“Master Rojie, I apologize for the unannounced visit.”

The bald woman greeted him.

She was the Supreme Sorceress of Kamar-Taj, Ancient One.

“If Itachi know it’s impolite, then don’t come.”

Rojie raised an eyebrow, lifted his tea, and sipped slowly—unapologetically.

After all, being spied on felt awful.

Ancient One, as if expecting this, remained unfazed: “Master Rojie is quite amusing.”

Rojie had no patience for games: “Ancient One, why leave Kamar-Taj to visit my humble place? Need a Wi-Fi upgrade?”

“Want me to run a cable to Kamar-Taj?”

“Need me to install a router?”

Ancient One kept her calm expression: “I had no urgent matter—only heard of a powerful sorcerer on Earth, Master Rojie, and came to take a look.”

Rojie perked up, leaning forward with a sly grin: “Just to look?”

“I thought Itachi’d challenge me to three hundred rounds the moment Itachi saw me.”

Ancient One shook her head: “No need. I’ve seen countless futures, countless timelines of our battles.”

Rojie’s interest sparked: “And what were the results?”

Ancient One glanced at him: “If Itachi want to know, look for yourself.”

Rojie immediately fixed his gaze on the Eye of Agamotto around her neck, stood up, and leaned closer: “Are Itachi offering to lend me your old treasure?”

Ancient One instantly shielded the Eye, sighing helplessly: “Master Rojie, Itachi’re joking again.”

“With your power, why need the Time Stone?”

Rojie didn’t waste words—he activated one of the Thirty-Six Heavenly Stems Techniques: Reverse Knowing the Future.

This technique revealed events yet to come.

Instantly, countless fragments of light and shadow exploded in his pupils, projecting alternate futures into his vision.

Rojie rarely used this technique.

After all, the future shifted constantly—it wasn’t fixed.

And spoiling it ahead of time was boring.

But just two glances at his fights with Ancient One? Fine.

Vast streams of images swept through his eyes.

Sometimes they clashed on Kamar-Taj’s rooftop, sometimes chased each other through mirror dimensions, even fought in outer space like cosmic boxers…

Though the battles varied wildly, most outcomes ended with Rojie winning easily.

Of course, a few futures showed Rojie deliberately losing.

The most frequent scene? Rojie tricking and swindling Ancient One into handing over the Time Stone.

No wonder she looked so resigned earlier—she’d clearly been robbed countless times.

Rojie ended the technique; the visions vanished.

He refocused on Ancient One, a smile tugging at his lips.

Through observing the future, Rojie now knew her purpose.

After synchronizing with the Dark Dimension of the Super God World, he had become, in a sense, a Dimensional Demon God—alerting this Supreme Sorceress.

Ancient One couldn’t sit still. Originally, she planned to strike first, banishing him beyond Earth—but after flipping through the script, she found she couldn’t defeat him no matter how hard she tried.

Now she saw: how could Rojie possibly be here to destroy Earth?

He was clearly her beloved kin, her brother in arms.

Why create enemies for no reason?

But Rojie had sensed her spying.

Doing nothing would be rude.

She’d get a surprise visit from the water meter inspectors any minute.

So Ancient One had no choice but to show up, smiling politely as if on a friendly visit.
