Chapter 51: The

“Akuya, Akuya, did you see this? This is Akuya’s LINE with Akiya Marinu—aren’t you jealous?”

“I’ve only been in the Performing Arts Department for one day, and I’ve already made so many friends. With your personality, you’re probably still a loner, right?”

“How about you beg me right now? I’ll give you Akiya Marinu and Hisumi Nami’s LINEs.”

“Akiya Marinu—the super popular actress—and Hisumi Nami, a cute girl who’s also a G-cup photo model with serious attitude!”

On the way home, Hoshino Rubi chattered nonstop beside Akuya, proudly showing off her phone and her impressive connections.

Both Shengzai Wen and Akiya Marinu are top-tier current actors; countless people want their social media accounts, yet not everyone has the clout to get them.

Especially Hisumi Nami—after adding Shengzai’s LINE, Rubi noticed the busty girl sitting next to her spent the entire day staring at her phone and smiling like an idiot.

Akuya originally paid little attention when Rubi mentioned her classmates were Shengzai Wen and Akiya Marinu.

But when she heard the word “connections,” she suddenly froze in place, a flash of insight striking her.

“Can you send me Shengzai Wen’s LINE?”

Hearing Akuya’s words, Rubi was clearly stunned.

She had just been talking about Akiya Marinu and Hisumi Nami, yet her brother, unmoved by the beautiful girls and the busty model, had asked for Shengzai’s LINE instead.

Could it be that her brother is…

Of course, Akuya didn’t suddenly want Shengzai’s LINE because Rubi imagined—he wasn’t some pervert.

Rather, Akuya suddenly realized: Shengzai had been a child actor in the entertainment industry for years, and with his current popularity, he must have extensive connections.

He had hacked Ai Hoshino’s old phone and obtained a list from it.

After years of investigation, Akuya discovered that the killer who murdered Ai was among those names.

But those people, over the years, had all become major figures in the entertainment industry.

As a mere high school student now, trying to approach them and investigate their identities was nearly impossible.

But if it were Shengzai, the situation would be different.

With Shengzai’s status as a super-popular actor, his chances of contacting them were far greater!

Akuya had originally not wanted to drag Shengzai into this, but now, to complete his revenge, he felt he had no choice but to seek Shengzai’s help.

“Shengzai, you must be home by ten o’clock sharp!”

“And don’t go to any sketchy places! If you really start dating someone, you must let us review them first.”

Around eight p.m., Shengzai left the Wen residence under the endless warnings of Yuzi and Azi.

When they learned Shengzai had plans with friends tonight, they interrogated him for nearly an hour.

Only after confirming the person he was meeting was male did they finally breathe a sigh of relief.

Their concern wasn’t unfounded—since childhood, though Shengzai had decent social standing, he’d never truly had friends.

Or rather, so-called “friends” were mostly superficial, rarely genuine.

Formerly, Ma Jianai counted as one, but since then, he’d hardly ever met anyone face-to-face like this.

Young, handsome, wealthy, and a super-popular actor—Yuzi and Azi feared he might be tricked by some random seductress.

So they’d always closely monitored his private life, trying to keep him from going astray.

“Shengzai just enrolled at Yangdong High today and already made a new friend? He’s not hanging out with some shady person, is he?”

Azi voiced her worries—Yangdong High’s Performing Arts Department was entirely different from the regular track.

Though they were all high schoolers, Performing Arts students had already worked in the industry and were far more mature than regular students.

Having been exposed to society earlier, they inevitably picked up some of the entertainment industry’s corrupt habits.

Even if the students themselves didn’t understand, their agencies likely advised them on such tactics.

Shengzai was a current super-popular actor, while his Performing Arts classmates were unknown newcomers.

If a rumor could be sparked now, wouldn’t the Redu skyrocket instantly?

Don’t think such shameless acts are unheard of—Azi, a former idol, knew better: for fame, people do far crazier things.

Over the years, they’d protected Shengzai well, and as a child star, he understood these things too.

But Shengzai was still a young man with raging hormones—if a beautiful girl threw herself at him, he might not be able to resist.

After confirming Shengzai had left, Yuzi and Azi exchanged glances, then silently crept toward his room, one behind the other.

Shengzai’s room was simple: just a bed, a computer, movie posters on the wall, and a few anime figurines.

Since middle school, Shengzai had strictly forbidden Yuzi and Azi from entering his room.

But he didn’t know they both kept spare keys—and visited his room more often than he did.

When they entered, Yuzi immediately bent down and pulled out a hidden cardboard box from under the bed.

Inside the box were large, white, content-rich manga, games, and DVDs.

“‘My Sister and My Summer Vacation’—trash. What’s so great about little girls?”

As Yuzi pulled out the box from under the bed, the first thing she saw was a best-selling manga Shengzai had recently consumed.

After one glance at the content, she spat “trash,” then kept rummaging through the box.

“‘The Stepmother’s Intentions’… ‘Older Women Are the Way’? Hmm, this game and manga clearly have depth—keep it…”

While Yuzi searched the box, Azi wheeled herself to Shengzai’s computer and expertly turned it on.

Seeing the desktop wallpaper—a photo of their family of three—Azi smiled warmly, then swiftly clicked through folders until she found his deeply hidden “study materials.”
