Chapter 59: Back to the Sword and Blade World
Yu Shengzai was also somewhat humiliated by the disdainful glares of the crowd.
In fact, over the years, he had occasionally thought about experiencing the darkness of the entertainment industry and letting himself go a little.
But unfortunately, Yuki and Ako watched his personal life too closely—he had absolutely no opportunity to act on such thoughts.
As for filial piety turning rotten? Better not even think about it… at most, it’s just a passing fantasy.
After all, the world he lived in was a proper world, not some hentai world—what if he got punished?
“I envy you so much—you’re in a romance anime world, where the power you now possess lets you walk all over the place.”
“We’re all Shengzai, yet you only have to chase girls, while we have to worry about so much more. If you knew the plot, fine—but in a fantasy world you don’t know? It’s like walking on thin ice.”
Hearing Dark Crow Shengzai’s words, Curse Technique Shengzai nodded in agreement.
They had all seen each other’s memories; judging by the current situation, only Sword and Blade Shengzai was in real danger—every other Shengzai lived an overpowered life in their own world.
Yu Shengzai needn’t be mentioned—he had returned to his own world again, and unless he stirred up the authorities or used the “Truth” weapon, he was already the number one person on Earth, free to roam without restraint.
Tennis Shengzai was much the same—it was just a sports anime to begin with, and now he was even closer to “Apocalypse Tennis.”
Golem Beast Shengzai and Grunt Po Shengzai… with their current power, they were still low-tier in their own worlds, but at least they were the strongest growth-stage and the strongest Grunt Po.
Tokyo Twilight’s worldview wasn’t too bad—Dark Crow Shengzai, after acquiring martial arts, swordsmanship, curse energy, and lethal-resistance through life-sacrifice, now had a foothold.
But in the Jujutsu Kaisen world, while these abilities had multiplied Shengzai’s original strength geometrically, they were still far from enough to guarantee survival.
Forget the Cursed King, Menma Sōna—just the moment a Special-Grade Sorcerer or Special-Grade Cursed Spirit activated their domain, Shengzai would die instantly unless he used Grunt Po’s “Damage Nullification.”
Fortunately, the Jujutsu Kaisen world he was in hadn’t officially begun its plot yet.
If a new powerhouse appeared in this space during this time, he might be able to go full OP in his own world.
After all, while the Jujutsu world was a high-risk world compared to Tennis World or Sword and Blade World,
among the countless multiversal realms, this level of power truly meant nothing.
If a Saiyan monkey or a Dao Ancestor showed up in this world one day, even Menma Sōna would kneel and call him Dad.
Aincrad, Floor 25, Gildarts.
As one of the rare large urban towns in the floating city, after clearing this floor, many players chose to establish guild bases or shops here.
Shengzai’s “Wenren Trading Company” was among the largest shops currently in Gildarts.
After returning from “Heart’s Dream Between,” Shengzai awoke on his bed and slowly descended the stairs.
The shop he rented was two stories: the upper floor was his living quarters, and the lower floor was designed as the storefront.
As soon as he reached the bottom floor, Shengzai heard a familiar voice; when he saw him come down, a golden-haired little girl, about ten years old, dressed in a maid outfit, beamed at him and greeted: “Brother Shengzai, good morning!”
Looking at the energetic golden-haired girl, Shengzai turned to another elderly man, around fifty, behind the counter and said: “Old Man Mikawa, didn’t I tell you and Mei you don’t have to come in so early every day?”
“You’re making me look like a heartless boss exploiting the elderly and minors.”
Before Old Man Mikawa could respond, the golden-haired girl puffed out her cheeks and ran up to Shengzai.
She frowned and said: “Anyone who says bad things about Brother Shengzai is definitely evil.”
“I wanted to come early to help—it’s not Grandpa’s fault. And if I come early, I get to see Brother Shengzai sooner.”
Hearing the little girl’s words, Shengzai was speechless, but still reached out and ruffled her hair as she looked up at him expectantly.
The old man named Mikawa and the girl named Mei were grandfather and granddaughter.
On the day SAO opened for public testing, it happened to be Mei’s birthday; her father, who had promised to play with her, had to rush back to his company due to an emergency.
To prevent his granddaughter from being disappointed, the nearly sixty-year-old Old Man Mikawa replaced his son and entered SAO with her.
The outcome was obvious—they, like all other players, were trapped in the game.
Unlike other players, most of whom were young, Mei was a ten-year-old child and Mikawa was an elderly man—what could they possibly do against monsters?
Remember, in SAO, when your HP hits zero, you die for real!
The already harsh survival environment was a true death sentence for them.
When they were at their wit’s end, they heard the Wenren Trading Company offered loans, so they came to Shengzai.
Shengzai couldn’t bear to see the little girl and the old man die horribly at the hands of monsters, and since his shop needed staff, he officially hired them.
“Brother Shengzai, someone’s here looking for you—I wouldn’t let them disturb your rest, so they’ve been waiting a while.”
Mei obediently poured Shengzai a cup of black tea, then pointed to a figure sitting in the waiting area and whispered to him.
Following Mei’s gesture, when Shengzai saw the figure dressed entirely in black, his lips curled slightly: “Tsk tsk tsk—if it isn’t our famous ‘Black Cloak Swordsman’?”
What brings a big shot from the strategy group to our little shop? Come here for special treatment?
Hearing the familiar teasing tone and seeing that sly grin, Kirigaya couldn’t help retorting: “I can’t compete with some big boss living such a decadent life.”
“You sleep until noon, even have a cute little maid—do you think Suguha and Asuna know you’re a little girl fanatic?”
Shengzai’s sharp tongue—he knew it well. If he didn’t learn to parry with sarcasm, he’d always lose face.
