Chapter 215: True Qi Meridian Opening

Lu Yu frowned slightly, a hint of gravity revealing itself in his eyes.

Although at first glance, the Potential Points required for each Meridian Opening did not seem overwhelmingly high, if one were to accumulate these consumed Potential Points one by one, they would undoubtedly aggregate into an extremely massive sum.

Take the initial Meridian Opening situation, for instance; at that time, it only required 100,000 Potential Points to complete one Meridian Opening.

Yet now, this number has skyrocketed like a rocket to 340,000.

Such a huge increase, how could it not be staggering?

"I wonder how many acupoints this Yang Wei Vessel has in total?" Lu Yu pondered to himself.

He couldn't help but imagine that if the progress completed so far was only half, then according to this growth trend, the Potential Points required to open the final acupoint would likely be over 500,000.

One must know, this Yang Wei Vessel is merely the first of the Extraordinary Meridians; there are seven more meridians waiting for him, especially the crucial Conception and Governor Vessels.

From the martial arts knowledge he had accumulated in the past, he knew that many Martial Artists spent their entire lives desperately seeking the opportunity to open these two meridians, yet often died with regrets.

From this, it can be seen that the Potential Points required to open the Conception and Governor Vessels must be even more astonishing.

Although he did not know exactly where these two meridians were located in the body, judging from the martial arts knowledge he knew, many people found it difficult to successfully open these two meridians in their entire lives.

At this moment, Lu Yu helplessly discovered that the hard-earned Potential Points he had accumulated were already exhausted.

The method of relying on Potential Points for Meridian Opening could only come to a temporary halt for now.

"It doesn't necessarily have to rely on Potential Points." A flash of inspiration suddenly struck Lu Yu's mind.

Not everyone possesses a panel like his; those Martial Artists in the Vein Refining Realm within the Association must surely rely on the True Qi within their bodies to perform Meridian Opening.

When True Qi is exhausted, they either restore True Qi by sitting and Regulate Breath, or they take a True Qi Pill to replenish True Qi, thereby continuing the Meridian Opening.

Then, could he perhaps also try this method?

Thinking of this, he slowly closed his eyes and calmed his mind; in the darkness, he seemed to truly feel the location of the next acupoint that needed to be opened.

Thus, he carefully controlled a strand of True Qi within his body, like commanding a well-trained soldier, and launched an assault toward that mysterious acupoint.

"Boom!" A loud sound rang out.

This strand of True Qi, like a surging river, slammed fiercely against the acupoint that stood like a dam; in the blink of an eye, it vanished without a trace, as if it had never appeared.

"Gone?"

Lu Yu was full of surprise; he hurriedly felt the state of the True Qi in his body, and indeed, he could no longer sense the strand of True Qi he had just controlled.

However, what made him feel slightly relieved was that the acupoint being struck had already loosened quite a bit; it looked like if he used True Qi to strike it a few more times, there was a high possibility of breaking through it.

"Again!" A hint of determination flashed in Lu Yu's eyes; this time, he controlled two strands of True Qi, which shot toward that acupoint like two sharp arrows.

Under the combined impact of the two strands of True Qi, the acupoint loosened by more than half.

Seeing this, Lu Yu felt a surge of joy and hurriedly mobilized another strand of True Qi, charging toward the acupoint with all his might.

"Crack!"

A crisp sound echoed within his body, as pleasant as jade shattering; the acupoint was successfully broken through in an instant, and a brand-new strand of True Qi, like a newborn baby, was slowly born within his body.

"It worked!" Lu Yu could not suppress the joy in his heart; he was overjoyed.

It seemed his previous guess was not wrong; this method of relying on his own True Qi for Meridian Opening was indeed feasible.

This time, it took less than four strands of True Qi in total to successfully break through the thirteenth acupoint, and the whole process was smoother than he had imagined.

With the breaking of the acupoint, the panel changed once again.

Realm: Vein Refining Initial Stage

True Qi: 108/144

"Did it consume 36 points of True Qi?"

Lu Yu looked at the changes in the True Qi column and found that it corresponded exactly to the previous consumption situation.

In this way, the 108 in front must be the amount of True Qi currently available in his body, while the 144 behind should be his current total True Qi.

"It looks like with the amount of True Qi I have now, I might be able to open one or two more acupoints?" The corners of Lu Yu's mouth rose slightly, revealing a confident smile.

Practice makes perfect; this time, he directly controlled three strands of True Qi, which rushed toward the next acupoint like a powerful torrent.

The True Qi collided fiercely with the acupoint, erupting with a dull sound.

In less than a breath's time, the three strands of True Qi vanished without a trace like a stone sinking into the sea, and the fourteenth acupoint had only loosened by more than half.

Lu Yu was not discouraged in the slightest; he once again controlled the three strands of True Qi in his body and charged forward again without hesitation.

"Crack!"

Another crisp sound.

The fourteenth acupoint was finally successfully broken.

Realm: Vein Refining Initial Stage

True Qi: 70/158

"Consumed 52 points of True Qi." Lu Yu glanced at the changes on the panel, and the total True Qi amount had also increased to 158 points.

"I don't know if the remaining seventy points of True Qi are enough to open the next acupoint; anyway, since I'm idle, I might as well give it a try."

After resting for a while, he concentrated his Spirit again, controlled three strands of True Qi, and resolutely launched a charge toward the next acupoint.

The three strands of True Qi quickly pounced toward the acupoint and soon exhausted their power.

At this time, Lu Yu discovered that the acupoint had only loosened by about one-third.

"It seems it's not enough."

Lu Yu muttered in a low voice, and after thinking for a moment, he still used up the remaining 40 points of True Qi all at once.

This time, the degree of loosening of the acupoint deepened significantly, reaching more than half. But unfortunately, the True Qi was exhausted along with it.

"I wonder if this acupoint can maintain its current loosened state, so that next time it will only take 30 points of True Qi to open it, or if it will slowly recover to its original state over time." Lu Yu speculated to himself.

If it were the former, that would naturally be for the best, but based on his intuition, he felt the latter was more likely.

Fortunately, he was not in a hurry and had enough time to observe.

Besides, performing Meridian Opening through True Qi is truly no easy task.

With his current amount of True Qi, he would exhaust it all after opening at most three acupoints, and to fully recover his True Qi, he estimated it would take at least a day.

Moreover, the further one goes, the greater the difficulty of opening the acupoints becomes.

For an ordinary Pulse Refining Martial Artist, it is already quite remarkable if they can successfully open one acupoint in a day.

Besides this, he was also unsure if there was a probability of failure in the process of Meridian Opening.

"It seems I can only take it one step at a time. Since all my Potential Points are used up for now, I will consider improving my martial arts next."

Lu Yu slowly cast his gaze onto the Skill bar and discovered that there were a total of four martial arts that could be practiced at the Vein Refining Realm.

They were the mental cultivation method Qianyuan Technique, the Arrow Technique Cloud-Piercing Arrow Technique, the Fist Technique Tiger Subduing Fist, and a body-refining martial art, Golden Bell Shield.

Among them, the first three martial arts could be practiced immediately, while the Golden Bell Shield still required a three-day unlocking period.

"Then I shall start with the Qianyuan Technique." Lu Yu secretly made his decision in his heart.
