Chapter 100
Inside the bio-capsule of the “Lord of the World,” Viland nervously lay down in the oval instrument chamber, closing his eyes slowly with tense anticipation.
For this day, he had nearly sacrificed everything!
The massive corporation he painstakingly built—Viland-Tanggu—and years of devoted research into synthetic human technology and theory.
Yet, compared to the returns, Viland believed he had gained far more!
With extended life, his genius mind could create even greater achievements, even etching his name forever into human history—and beyond!
When he awoke again, he would be utterly reborn, possessing a lifespan far surpassing that of ordinary humans!
Viges sat at the control console, picked up the nearby flute, and played a melody. The activated bio-capsule then pumped in thick, viscous fluid until it fully submerged Viland, its surface covered by a thin, transparent yet resilient membrane.
Adjusting a biological genome sequence was child’s play for the one-sided “Engineer.”
Soon.
With the aid of holographic projections, Viges reprogrammed Viland’s genes, reinvigorating his aging cells.
Through the transparent membrane, one could clearly see Viland inside the bio-capsule: his nearly bald scalp gradually sprouting thick black hair, wrinkles fading from his face, and his shriveled, muscle-decayed body swelling as if being inflated.
Though Viland still looked like an old man, his overall aura had become utterly different.
Even Alvin, watching from the side, couldn’t help but be deeply shaken by the Engineer race’s mastery of biological genetic engineering.
Unlike the “Human Empire,” Engineers as a whole leaned toward “creation.”
“I’ve implanted a nanoscale biological neural control device deep within his cerebral cortex.”
Viges finished the gene-editing procedure and handed the control terminal to Alvin: “As long as you hold this terminal, this human will never betray you.”

【With controller, receive signals from nanoscale biological neural control device; manipulate subject at neural level】
【Energy supply provided: 500 units】
After Navigator’s verification confirmed no issues, Alvin stored the terminal in his armor: “Thank you for your cooperation, Viges.”
Though he now held the control terminal, truly winning over a talent like Viland required more than just the “stick”—he needed the “carrot” too.
And here it was… the Infinity Formula serum, extorted from Marvel’s S.H.I.E.L.D., now put to use.
Alvin planned to have Viges optimize the Infinity Formula serum to suit the genetic structure of humans in the “Alien Universe.”
The Infinity Formula serum’s greatest strength was that while it extended lifespan, it required continuous ingestion—if interrupted… the consequences would be catastrophic!
Thus, two layers of security were secured.
For at least the next few decades, Alvin no longer needed to worry about Viland’s potential betrayal.
But then, the question arose:
What about decades from now? Would he still not worry?
Alvin never underestimated anyone, especially geniuses like Peter Viland—but no matter how brilliant a mind, it was impossible to master multiple fields and develop an antidote to the Infinity Serum within just a few years.
He had full confidence that decades later, even if Viland truly chose to betray him, Alvin would then possess absolute power to annihilate him.
“If you need the technology in this area, I can provide you with the relevant data first,” Viges said earnestly: “I only hope to return to our homeworld as soon as possible.”
“I understand your feelings, Viges.”
Alvin gazed at the eager “Engineer” before him and said slowly: “Rest assured, I will keep my promise—but before we depart, we still need some preparation.”
“Can I help?”
Viges asked voluntarily.
Having been in stasis for two thousand years, he feared for the state of Paradise Star—what disaster had occurred to sever all contact between the Space Jockey fleet and their homeworld?
As long as he could resolve matters here quickly and return to Paradise Star, he didn’t mind lending a small hand.
“I know you’re anxious, but don’t rush,” Alvin said, deeply pleased—such a compliant heretic was truly rare.
As he soothed the agitated Viges, he added: “But this task requires your cooperation with Viland to succeed.”
“?”
Viges wore a puzzled expression.
Though unspoken, Alvin clearly saw a flicker of disdain in Viges’s eyes.
He didn’t believe Viland’s knowledge could contribute anything meaningful.
“What do you think of the ‘embryo’ born from a human infected by Black Water?” Alvin asked with a smile.
“From a professional genetic engineering standpoint, it’s an exceptionally superior organism,” Viges replied honestly: “Within hours of birth, it can expand its body size tenfold without consuming any nutrients—this is worth studying.”
The Alien lifeform’s most terrifying trait was this: no nutrient intake, yet its body swells tenfold in mere moments!
But Alvin shook his head and smiled: “You’re wrong, Viges—its advantages go far beyond that.”
Gazing at Viges’s confusion, he continued: “Its greatest strength lies in adapting its biological form based on the host’s physiology—absorbing some of the host’s advantages, then combining them with its own genetic strengths to become a perfect killing machine.”
Viges’s expression finally shifted slightly—he seemed to guess something, staring at Alvin in shock: “You plan to breed this terrifying creature?”
“That’s not quite accurate.”
Just as Viges exhaled in relief, thinking he wouldn’t have to create such a monstrous lifeform—
Alvin’s face wore a gentle smile, but his words sent a chill of dread through Viges:
“I don’t just plan to breed this creature—I want you and Viland to collaborate, merging synthetic human technology to create an entirely new ‘species’!”
Viges fell into an unusually long silence, then forced out a complex expression: “Your idea is brilliant—but to implement it? Too difficult.”
This concept surpassed even his wildest imagination.
It even challenged the Engineers’ technological limits—and their moral bottom line.
Of course, assuming the Engineer race even possessed the concept of “morality.”
Viges stared at Alvin with alarm: “You’re not planning to use this creature against us, are you?”
“What are you thinking?”
Alvin glanced at him and sneered: “Do you really think I’d go through all this trouble to deal with you?”
Though this insulted him, Viges unexpectedly felt much lighter—if it wasn’t aimed at the Engineers, who cared?
“Combining the strengths of two species? Extremely difficult! Extremely difficult! Extremely difficult!” Viges warned him in advance: “You must prepare yourself—there are too many problems to solve in a short time.”
From an Engineer’s perspective, saying “extremely difficult” three times revealed just how impossible it truly was.
But Alvin had anticipated this and smiled: “That’s fine—I’m in no hurry.”
Merging “Aliens” with “Synthetic Humans” couldn’t be accomplished overnight.
At present, this idea remained purely theoretical.
Countless obstacles still lay between it and realization.
Whether it was the still-embryonic Alien or integrating synthetic human technology—each posed a monumental challenge.
But if it could truly be achieved, he would possess a fully obedient army of synthetic Alien warriors!
