Chapter 6

~6 min read 1,166 words

In fact, the Demon Claw Woman is such a negligible character in the plot that she appears only a few times.

But the reason Alvin remembers it, and why it left such a deep impression, is due to a truly “explosive” plotline.

Note, “explosive” in the literal sense.

The Claw Woman, high on drugs, sought revenge on Trainwreck by seducing the landlord into an affair.

Then, at the peak of passion, she sat on the landlord’s face and crushed his skull with her powerful glutes and thigh muscles—straight into pulp!

That scene stuck with Alvin vividly; he couldn’t help but admire how wild America truly was.

Of course, by perverted standards, this plotline doesn’t even rank in the top ten of the entire series.

It shows just how chaotic this world is—Chaos is ecstatic.

Alvin silently made the Eagle Salute over his chest.

He silently thanked fate that no Inquisitorial fanatics were around, or they’d have unhesitatingly signed an extermination order and turned the whole planet into glass.

“Phew, glad this is still early in the plot.”

Alvin pinched the bridge of his nose and quickly simulated his next move in his mind: “This is the only chance I’ll get to obtain Compound Five early on.”

Vought International’s control over ‘Compound Five’ is extremely strict; though the plot shows a few locations, none are anything but secret labs.

First, he has no idea where the secret labs are; second, even if he did, Vought’s security is too strong for him to break in and steal Compound Five.

But heaven never closes a door—The Claw Woman... is the key.

This brings us to The Claw Woman’s identity: she’s Trainwreck’s secret girlfriend, their relationship never made public.

Trainwreck is one of Vought’s promoted Seven, with ample access to Compound Five.

To claim the title of fastest speedster and break world records, Trainwreck secretly stashed some of the Compound Five in The Claw Woman’s apartment, hiding it from Vought.

Alvin knows full well that this batch of Compound Five is a temporary dose, granting powers for only 24 hours.

And repeated injections cause severe bodily damage—but he still won’t let this opportunity slip away.

But plans are plans; Alvin soon realized a problem.

He didn’t know American cities, and had no identity whatsoever—he was essentially an undocumented ghost. Figuring out The Claw Woman’s apartment was nearly impossible.

After a few seconds of thought, Alvin set his sights on the main cast.

“Butcher is a good entry point.”

He swallowed the last sip of cola and left the fast-food joint.

His mind already held a complete plan: first, solve his undocumented status; second, find the main cast.

Finding specific individuals in a modern metropolis of nearly ten million people was like searching for a needle in a haystack.

But this was America.

No problem was beyond the power of money.

If there was one, you just weren’t paying enough!

Alvin’s method was simple: first, borrow cash from the black brothers; second, have the gang find the target.

Though the black brothers were poor, there were plenty of them.

Just dive into the slums, and they’d spawn endlessly like goblins outside a beginner village.

After experiencing America’s humble, warm hospitality, Alvin walked out of the ‘beginner village’ with several thousand dollars in cash, politely declining the black brothers’ reluctant farewells.

As for why he hadn’t been crushed by superheroes yet, Alvin could only say... you don’t understand America.

Superheroes don’t protect the poor; they’d rather take two endorsement deals.

As for step two? Even simpler.

Most gangs may look tough, but they’re truly bullies who crush the weak and fear the strong.

Alvin didn’t know America, but he knew scum.

In fact, after he used his deflection stance and gunned down a dozen fools who got in his way, the entire gang surrendered instantly.

They assumed Alvin was a powered individual—otherwise, how could bullets bounce off him?

Nobody wants to die, and scum... fear death even more!

So, after Alvin threw cash around and executed a few scumbags, the gang operated with unprecedented efficiency—by the next morning, they’d found the target.

Proven fact: when people are backed into a corner, they can do anything except solve math problems.

Based on the address obtained, Alvin drove there alone.

But when he arrived at Huey Campbell’s workplace, he saw two men inside, high as kites, wildly punching at empty air.

“Oh, lucky break—I just caught the scene.”

Alvin was pleasantly surprised; he’d arrived just in time.

This scene: Butcher manipulates Huey into planting a bug for Vought, but the Invisible Man discovers it, follows them, and a fight erupts.

But Huey is just a regular office worker—zero combat ability. He was knocked out in one hit.

Butcher knew a bit of martial arts, but he was still human; he held his own briefly against the Invisible Man, but quickly fell on the defensive.

Alvin sat in his car, having no intention of helping. Calmly, he pulled out his phone, aimed the camera at the store, and began recording.

Soon, Butcher was knocked to the ground, on the verge of death—when Huey suddenly had a flash of inspiration and electrocuted the Invisible Man with a severed power cord.

Both men sat panting on the floor, staring in relief at the now-visible, unconscious Invisible Man beside them.

“It’s my turn.”

Seeing the fight end, Alvin knew his chance had come. He calmly, leisurely stepped out of the car.

Inside, Butcher and Huey, still shaken, suddenly heard the door open.

“Ah!”

Huey, already guilty, screamed in terror.

They’d just electrocuted the Invisible Man—the star hero of Vought! If they were caught, they were done for!

Butcher stayed calm, immediately locking eyes with the intruder.

He expected a Vought agent—but instead saw a slender, somewhat refined-looking teenager.

“Good evening, gentlemen.”

Amid their tense stares, Alvin spoke calmly: “Let me introduce myself—I’m Alvin. I hope I haven’t interrupted your... activities.”

“Wha... what do we do? We’ve been seen!” Huey was frozen in panic, helplessly staring at Butcher.

Butcher ignored Huey. He too was tense, sweat beading on his forehead, eyes locked on Alvin: “Are you from Vought? Or the CIA?”

“No, no, no—I’m just an ordinary man.”

Alvin ignored the unconscious Invisible Man, his leather shoes crunching over broken glass as he walked slowly to Butcher: “Mr. Butcher, I don’t care what you did. I only want to make a mutually beneficial deal with you.”

“I never deal with strangers.”

Butcher sneered, his bearded face filled with contempt, rejecting the offer without hesitation.

“Oh, what a shame.”

Alvin showed regret, sighing helplessly: “I thought you loved your wife. But it seems I was wrong.”

“Rebecca? You know where Rebecca is?!”

Hearing the name of his wife, Butcher instantly lost his composure.

Perfect—he bit.

Watching Butcher’s reaction, Alvin knew the deal was sealed.

“No need to rush, Mr. Butcher.”

He smiled calmly, speaking slowly: “First, calm down. Then find a safe place. We’ll sit down and talk, shall we?”
