Chapter 493: Differential Treatment

Upon hearing the news that they could seek refuge in the Hei Yu An Quan Qu, the Great Wall Watch faction channel immediately buzzed.

"Really? Can we all get in?"

"Can vehicles also go in? Really? Although those people on the regional channel can enter the Hei Yu An Quan Qu, they have to pay triple the ticket price, and the vehicles can only be left outside, watching them get flooded."

"Exactly, what's the difference between supplies that aren't brought into the safe zone and those that are just thrown away? After being soaked, how many are still usable?"

"So the trade channel is now dumping supplies on a massive scale—everything's there. I originally planned to stock up while prices are low, but thinking about my vehicle's risk of flooding, I had to give up the idea reluctantly."

"Hey! The Hei Yu An Quan Qu has now opened for our vehicles; does that mean we can go buy supplies?"

"Buy supplies? Haven't you seen what's happening on the trade channel? Those few people in Black Feather are like gluttons; any price below market gets devoured by them. Where's any bargain left for us?"

"Hey, don't even mention it. They not only have the conditions but also the funds; in this regard, we're truly outmatched."

"If you ask me… we're not related, yet we're in trouble now; they not only didn't kick us when we were down, they even offered to help, letting us take refuge and even thinking of safeguarding our supplies… sigh, a drop of water repaid by a spring; now it's a life‑saving favor…"

"Enough said. Long live Wuya Lao Da!"

"Long live Wuya Lao Da!"

War Wolf looked at the screen in his own faction channel filled with "Long live Wuya Lao Da!", and felt a swirl of emotions.

He rubbed his forehead, his fingers paused over the keyboard for a moment, and finally typed a line:

【War Wolf Soul Unextinguished】: Alright, stop just shouting slogans. Count all the valuable supplies you have and prepare to relocate. Anyone willing to join the outer perimeter guard combat, sign up with a legion yourself. Move quickly, don't cause trouble for Black Feather's friends, and don't betray this sentiment.

The message went out, and the cheers in the channel subsided a bit, becoming more pragmatic.

Watching the rapidly scrolling supply list and sign‑up roster, War Wolf felt the lingering discomfort in his heart completely vanish.

After all, in these times, having a reliable, methodical leader at the forefront is, for the vast majority, certainly a good thing.

At least when floods rage, there are still people who can carve out a dry patch and are willing to give you a foothold.

War Wolf, completely free of awkward thoughts, closed the faction channel and looked again at the temporary leaderboard.

Black Feather is first, this Freedom Wing…

"Handsome White Eagle…" War Wolf's gaze darkened slightly.

That guy isn't a nice fellow; back during the merged‑server test, the forces that besieged Black Feather were probably orchestrated by him.

And moreover…

War Wolf furrowed his brows; the joint tactic with White Eagle had been used once, and there's no reason it couldn't be used a second time.

Only the first gathering involved those shrimp soldiers and crab generals; if it happens again, it'll likely be the forces on the leaderboard.

To ease Wuya's pressure a bit…

War Wolf thought for a moment, as if making a decision, and opened a private chat window.

He intends to contact the few factions that rank ahead of Great Wall Watch, get to them before White Eagle, turn them into allies, and even bring them into the Long Guo alliance!

Wait, that's not right…

War Wolf's actions halted; Great Wall Watch truly lacks the capital to attract those factions, so this… still needs Wuya to handle personally.

He had just opened a private chat with Xin Xue Chuji when another message popped up.

It was the second‑in‑command of Great Wall Watch.

【Lang Ya】: Boss! Something's happened! In our faction channel we were discussing Black Feather's acceptance of us and the permission to transfer vehicles and supplies, and some sneaky entity screenshot it and posted it to the regional channel and even the World Channel! Now the other factions in Dong Da Qu, especially those scrambling for a place to settle, are in an uproar!

【War Wolf Soul Unextinguished】: What?! Send me the screenshot!

【Image】

The image clearly shows a portion of a Great Wall Watch faction channel member's message; the speaker is an anonymous player, and the picture offers no clues—War Wolf and Lang Ya have no idea who this person is.

And moreover... the caption this person added to the image is especially cringeworthy!

【No Man's Land】: Hey, look at the treatment they get! Vehicles and supplies fully protected, while strangers outrank kin. As for us, we're either left to drown or forced in as hostages paying triple tickets without weapons. @Wu Ya Zuo Fei Ji, you're all from Dong Da Qu—why the preferential treatment? Is it because they think our other factions are easy to bully, but Great Wall Watch has power? Give us an explanation!

This highly provocative caption directly points to "privilege," instantly igniting the anger of other factions in Dong Da Qu, especially players mired in anxiety and despair.

"@Wu Ya Zuo Fei Ji, get out! Explain clearly! How can Great Wall Watch bring its belongings in while we get stripped? Our Sakura Nation Yatsukigiri Guild objects! We object!"

"Hehe, is this what they call Long Guo's responsibility? 'Rich water doesn't flow to outsiders,' right? Our Kimchi Nation brothers are all watching!"

"Differential treatment—this is blatant discrimination! It's splitting our Dong Da Qu! We must treat everyone equally!"

"Black Feather, your safe zone is fine, we don't envy it, that's your skill. But since it's open, there should be open rules! What is this now? Picking dishes based on who you are? All are Long Guo factions, so why can Great Wall Watch go in?!"

"If you ask me, just don't go! Let them play on their own! We'll find our own way!"

"Find our own way? Easy for you to say! Can you actually find one? Besides Black Feather's land, where else is dry?!"

"@Great Wall Watch @War Wolf Soul Unextinguished, what benefits did you give Black Feather? Did you sign some servitude contract? Speak up so everyone can hear!"

"Servitude contract? We're cooperating—do you understand what cooperation means? A bunch of sour‑grape whiners! Our brother Wolf has foresight; we already cooperated with Wuya long ago! Is that a problem?"

"Hey, so that's covered now? Looks like you got plenty of benefits!"

"Everyone stop arguing! The top priority is to have Black Feather present a fair plan! Either open equal conditions for all factions, allowing limited supply transfers, or shut it down completely so no one can enter!"

"Right! A fair plan! @Wu Ya Zuo Fei Ji, stop playing dead! Give us a word!"

War Wolf grew increasingly furious as he watched, his fists clenching with a crackling sound.

The sarcastic taunts in the channel, the pressure cloaked in the banner of fairness, and our own brothers' unfiltered retorts all felt like knives stabbing his heart—and Black Feather's as well.
