Chapter 124: Commanding the Dragon Race with the Reverse Scale

How much demonic Qi is contained within a Main God's body?

Ten Three-Legged Demon Toads advanced to level 500 — that is the best answer.

A full three days and three nights had passed since Lu Zheng began exorcising Alex.

The ten immortal-grade spirit pets, the Three-Legged Demon Toads, had already advanced to the peak of the demigod level from absorbing the demonic Qi Alex produced.

And even so, there was still plenty of demonic Qi left.

The Golden Dragon God had originally wanted to use his gradually recovering golden divine power to completely annihilate this demonic Qi.

But Lu Zheng stopped him.

Though the Three-Legged Demon Toads could no longer continue absorbing, he could still use the passive effect of the Heaven-Devouring Demon Body to absorb demonic Qi and gain experience points.

Although the process was slow, even the smallest mosquito was still meat.

As long as experience points could still be accumulated, they would keep increasing.

This way, he only needed to continue completing his Job Change Quest, and his level would rise rapidly.

It eliminated the intermediate process of grinding monsters for experience.

However, though the ten Three-Legged Demon Toads could no longer absorb demonic Qi to level up, they could use their 'Demon-Hooking Spirit Tongue' skill to assist in removing the demonic Qi from the Dragon God's body.

This also allowed that demonic Qi to be converted into his own consumed mana, increasing his overall mana recovery speed.

And so, the fourth day arrived.

The golden divine power within Alex surged, expelling the last trace of demonic Qi from his body! He had finally broken free of the demonic Qi's torment.

He only needed two or three days of rest to recover quickly from his injuries.

Learning that he still needed a period of recovery before going to the Divine Realm, Lu Zheng had Baize spend seven billion points of mana to release Holy Light to help the Golden Dragon God heal.

If one treatment couldn't fully cure him, then a hundred treatments it would be!

In the end, it took only fifty-two treatments to restore Alex completely to his peak condition.

There was no other motive — he simply wanted him to go to the Divine Realm as quickly as possible.

If Alex didn't go up, how could he use the 'Golden Reverse Scale' to command the entire Dragon Valley? "I'll go right now!"

After recovering from his injuries, Alex did not dawdle. He left the Dragon Tomb directly and headed for the Divine Realm.

Clearly, he indeed had important matters to attend to.

After his departure, a prompt appeared before Lu Zheng's eyes.

【Ding! Detected that Main God-level deity Golden Dragon God Alex has left the Dragon Tomb, the demonic nature removed, redemption achieved. You have successfully completed your job change! Advanced to Grandmaster-tier Summoner! Unique exclusive skill Summoning Art upgraded to Grandmaster-tier Summoning Art.】

【Ding! Detected a massive accumulation of experience points, now partially absorbed. Your level has risen. Current level LV. 300. All attributes amplified!】

The quest was finally complete.

Lu Zheng's level had reached the peak of the fifth advancement, just one step away from stepping into the Sacred tier and becoming a Sacred-tier professional.

He had accumulated a vast amount of experience points, enough to reach above level five hundred.

All that remained was completing the Job Change Quest.

Or rather, just one quest.

Professionals underwent a total of six job changes. Upon reaching the sixth advancement and level three hundred or above, there was no longer any need to complete Job Change Quests.

At level four hundred, one would master divine power and could break through to the demigod level.

In other words, as long as Lu Zheng completed one more quest, the level restriction would no longer exist!

So what was there to wait for!?

Lu Zheng felt he needed to push through the new Job Change Quest in one go.

Only then could he devote himself fully to confronting the Evil God. Otherwise, with this restriction always hanging over him, his summoned beasts' strength could not continue to improve, and he could not change the current situation at all! As for helping the other Sacred-tier professionals attain divine positions.

That matter could be postponed.

Right now, with the 'Golden Reverse Scale' in hand, he could command the entire dragon race to help him suppress those rampaging demigod-level or Sacred-tier demonized monsters. He was not lacking for help in suppressing evil demons for the time being.

Comparatively, his own leveling up was far more urgent!

He left the Dragon Tomb.

Dragon Emperor Phoenix, who had been waiting outside the tomb the entire time, looked in astonishment at the Golden Reverse Scale in Lu Zheng's hand.

"The entire Dragon Tomb has been purified by me. His Excellency Golden Dragon God Alex has entered the Divine Realm to handle matters. This Golden Reverse Scale was given to me by His Excellency, instructing you all to follow my commands from now on.

Your Majesty the Dragon Emperor, do you have any objections?"

As he asked this question, Lu Zheng activated the Dragon God's pressure emanating from the Golden Reverse Scale.

Though he bore the title of Dragon Emperor, Phoenix was merely a Mid God.

Facing the pressure of a Main God-level Dragon God before whom even upper-tier gods had to submit, how could Phoenix possibly have any objections?

"None! Everything follows the Dragon God's command! Dragon Valley obeys your orders!"

Phoenix said respectfully.

The Golden Dragon God's reverse scale — this was something that only dropped if he willingly gave it.

Even if one killed the demonized Dragon God, it would be impossible to obtain this thing.

Moreover, with Lu Zheng's strength, in Phoenix's view, he absolutely did not possess the power to slay a Dragon God.

Therefore, it could only be that the Dragon God had bestowed this reverse scale upon Lu Zheng.

Which meant everything Lu Zheng said was true, and he needed to obey the Dragon God's command!

Taking ten thousand steps back, Lu Zheng had completed the purification and stopped the demonized Dragon God from slaughtering the entire Dragon Valley — this was equivalent to saving all the dragons.

With such a debt of gratitude, it was only right to obey him in all things.

Seeing Phoenix so obedient, Lu Zheng smiled.

"First, take me to see the dragon race's treasury. I need to strengthen my power!"

Lu Zheng was not a hypocritical person.

He did not hide his thoughts.

One reason he was so eager to send the Dragon God into the Divine Realm was to scheme for the dragon race's treasury.

Rumor had it that giant dragons were a race fond of collecting treasures.

There ought to be quite a few good pieces of equipment and other such treasures, right?

Giant dragons were not merely an ordinary mortal race; among them were quite a few True God-level existences.

The treasures they collected were naturally no ordinary items.

With just a rough glance, Lu Zheng already spotted many divine suits.

He smiled and looked at Phoenix.

"These things sitting here—it looks like none of you need them. Since that's the case, I'll take them all and give them to those suited to use them, so they can serve a purpose."

After saying this, he added:

"Don't get the wrong idea—I'm absolutely not coveting the treasure! The Evil God invades, a great catastrophe is imminent, and we must use every means to arm all our forces. It's not just these pieces of equipment and treasures I'll take—you, I'm taking too.

Quite a few demigod-level and saint-level evil demons have already appeared. I need enough helpers to fight the evil demons alongside me!"

Phoenix heard this and said respectfully:

"Everything at your command!"

Seeing this, Lu Zheng offered no further explanation and said directly:

"First, find all the skill books for me and let me see which ones I can use!"

He already had quite a few powerful skills now, but within the dragon treasury there were bound to be Divine Skills; mastering one or two would at least provide some improvement. (End of chapter)
