Chapter 45: Damn, He Really Wants to Die?!
Black Watch.
In this damn galaxy, this name might only be a very simple Star Realm Army designation.
But after Xisi saw it, he couldn't help recalling another human organization from another life in his memory.
A group composed entirely of ordinary people, yet they fought the myriad demons and monsters of his world, making those fiends wail and beg.
At this moment, the title of this strongest mortal unit seemed to, along with the name "Black Watch", happen to land on Xisi's head.
"All right, the designation has been delivered, Lord Sisi, now please lead your Black Watch and prepare for lift‑off."
When Daiweiluo finished speaking, the door ahead swung open.
Bunoke and Ana came in, the jet roar of the densely packed transports, with a rush of wind, blew through the doorway.
"Lord, Lord Kaerjia has formally issued a duel to the rebel leader; the command has now been given, ordering all jump‑team squads to enter space at once and prepare to attack the enemy flagship."
Bunoke, wearing storm armor, spoke swiftly, and Daiweiluo also took his helmet from the nearby table and silently donned it.
Ana stepped forward a few steps, stood before the Power Armor, her expression solemn:
Xisi...... sir......
Ana was still somewhat uneasy with the shift in how she addressed Xisi, yet she still voiced the respectful title.
"Now I will equip the armor for you, sir."
Ana has been fully designated as Xisi's accompanying Mechanical Monk, a reward from the Mechanical Church to Xisi.
It also serves as a sign of support for Kaerjia's decision.
Gazing at Daiweiluo, Bunoke, Ana before him, and the rows beyond filled with officers all newly bearing Black Watch shoulder patches, the transports' roar seemed to urge them.
A few minutes later, a mortal wearing dark‑silver Power Armor, left hand gripping a Precision Explosive Gun, right hand bearing an Elegant Power Sword, walked through the tightly packed officers.
Behind him stood a towering Death Watch, a burly adjutant clutching a machine gun, and a Mechanical Monk clad in a gear‑red robe.
At the center of the huge hangar were many transport ships, while the outer ring held tens of thousands of elite mortal troops arranged in several square formations, all clad in black fully‑sealed combat suits.
At this moment, everyone's eyes were on Xisi, waiting for their superior's move.
Xisi looked at the crowd before him, his eyes then soaring to the distant front line of the Heberia Nest Area.
The front line was experiencing dense Subspace Energy fluctuations, and the raging battlefield had strangely halted because of a duel between two gigantic figures, one black and one blue.
Through the communicator, the Military Affairs Department's urging sounded urgent; though Kaerjia is strong, he remains at an absolute disadvantage before Abadon.
After Kaerjia was nearly killed several times, the Military Affairs Department anxiously began ordering the early units to jump‑team onto the Chaos warship.
No words were needed, and no time could be wasted; Xisi, looking at this group of Black Watch who were only minutes old, led the way into the transport!
With the engines roaring at full power, the cabin began to shake violently.
The cabin had no windows to view the outside; everyone was thus trapped like in a can, feeling their bodies rocked left and right by the huge jolts.
Metal brackets strapped to their bodies made each jolt send a sharp sting.
Though the steel cabin offered no view outside, as they continued to ascend, dense artillery fire detonated around the cabin.
The entire space was "quiet"; everyone remained mute, save for the cabin's trembling whine and the boundless artillery explosions.
At last, perhaps under the protection of the Golden Throne or the Brass Throne, Xisi's transport arrived, surprisingly unscathed, into a relatively quiet ship compartment.
All that remained was waiting for the cabin doors to open; there was no welcome ceremony, only a line of jump‑team ships that had long been waiting, and crew members with anxious faces, frantically urging.
"Quick, if we don't hurry we'll die point‑blank!"
The crew naturally accepted their fate, for sending the surviving Imperial Navy to attack the well‑prepared Chaos fleet offered nothing but a death sentence.
Now these 'abandoned' crew members only gave a calm look when confronting Xisi's odd black‑clad Star Realm Army.
After all, compared to the thrill they expect, Xisi and his team, about to be launched, will not find it pleasant!
Xisi looked at the fully sealed cabin around him; in the cramped space, he could not even discern what class of Imperial warship he was aboard.
Only the macro cannon's roar transmitted through the hull, and the entire ship's slight tremor from the massive recoil, could be heard.
Xisi pulled back his gaze, felt the warship beneath him suddenly jolt violently, the hull emitting a wailing from the massive impact; he hurriedly steadied his footing and, under the crew's instantly pale faces, rushed into the jump‑team ship.
The warship had begun to twist irregularly; with a small amount of space remaining inside the jump‑team ship, Xisi looked at the desperate crew outside the door.
He reached out to invite them, but the crew, seeing Xisi actually extending an invitation, was taken aback.
The crew abruptly pressed the launch button; as the jump‑team ship shot out at speed, Xisi saw the crew, before the flames could scorch him, smile at Xisi to politely decline the "kindness", and simultaneously pull the trigger on his own head with a satisfying click.
Even more violent shaking, even more ferocious artillery fire.
The hull was surrounded by countless tiny fragments of unknown origin; while in the jump‑team ship, Xisi even felt his backside had never been able to stay still for even a second.
If it weren't for the metal brackets fastening him securely to the hull, Xisi wouldn't know how he had been tossed inside the cabin.
Until a violent impact arrived, everyone was instantly propelled forward by massive inertia.
Feeling the harsh clank of shoulder against bracket, amid the piercing metallic screech, the jump‑team ship finally began to slow, and the outside finally fell quiet.
Just before the door opened, the brackets snapped open; Bunoke and the others hadn't time to draw weapons, and the door, warped by the violent impact, was already gaping wide.
Bang bang bang!
Xisi and Daiweiluo pulled the triggers aimed at the outside of the door, and a dozen cult crew members poised to fire were knocked to the ground by the explosive blast.
Leaping down from the deformed cabin, watching the terrified fleeing crew ahead, Daiweiluo finally stopped concealing his inner fury and shouted:
"Both inside and out, steel!"
"Eradicate the traitors!"
Daiweiluo, after speaking, reached for the Explosive Gun to launch a final charge, but as he stepped forward, his back foot's Power Sword swung and slammed onto the back of his head.
The impassioned Daiweiluo instantly went limp; Bunoke and the others, who were about to loyally follow Daiweiluo for the Divine Emperor, were stunned, eyes wide, watching Xisi who had knocked Daiweiluo unconscious.
The crowd was stunned, Xisi looked around, then pointed to another direction:
"Go seize the enemy's jump‑team ship!"
Jump‑team ship?
The crowd was stunned, and Bunoke, even more bewildered, said:
"We're already on the enemy ship; where else can we jump?"
"Jump onto the Empire's warship!"
Everyone: "......????"
Seeing the crowd's bewildered reaction, Xisi clenched his teeth helplessly, then suddenly shouted at the crowd:
"What? You really want to die, damn it?!"
