Chapter 108

"Say that again?"

Lin Nan looked at Lu Yang with a dark face.

"Haha, Lin Dao, am I wrong?

Look, the heroine's temperament is cold and unstained by the mud; isn't this very suitable for Yifei?"

Lin Nan didn't speak, continuing to look dark.

This guy, auditioning is auditioning, but he actually had designs on Liu Yifei, the producer.

Lu Yang looked at Lin Nan's appearance and smiled shamelessly.

"Don't worry, during filming, I will pay attention to all of Yifei's scenes.

Any dangerous scenes, or slightly intimate scenes, absolutely won't happen..."

"Stop, stop, stop, have you ever thought about Yifei's current status? Is she suitable for this role? And this is a role for public audition; what do you think outsiders will think?"

Lin Nan retorted angrily.

Lu Yang was stumped by Lin Nan's question. Yes, he had really forgotten to consider this.

In his view, Liu Yifei was very suitable for this role.

Although the role might be a bit small, Liu Yifei was half a producer; there shouldn't be any problem acting in her own film.

As a result, Lin Nan's words woke Lu Yang up.

He forgot that Liu Yifei's primary job was an actor, and an actor's status was a very important thing. If he let Liu Yifei act in this role, it would also be drawing hatred for Liu Yifei.

"Lin, *Eclipse* is about to be released, are you really not concerned at all?"

A call from Tom reminded Lin Nan of this matter.

The third installment of *Twilight* was also about to be released, right next to *Source Code*.

"I'm not going over this time, you keep an eye on it, and also about *Now You See Me*..."

Lin Nan arranged everything in a few words; fan movies only had that potential for about ten days, so there was nothing to be too concerned about.

"Alright then, is the profit this time still for buying equipment?"

"Yes. And those people who went to study, if they're about ready, arrange for them to be sent back."

"Mm, I will."

Hanging up the phone, Lin Nan continued to think about the casting problem.

Andy Lau, Jackie Chan, people he wanted to collaborate with, were all within his consideration this time.

But the schedule was a problem; for people of this status, schedules were usually very full.

"Better wait until the investment is settled; each one is still quite expensive." Lin Nan muttered.

Still at China Film.

Previously, when Wanda participated in the investment of Lin Nan's films, the people who came were from the cinema chain company.

Now that a film company had been established, that part of the business had been transferred over, including those responsible.

"Lin Dao, thank you for the opportunity. Honestly, the film company has been established for almost two months, and this is the first big project..."

The Wanda people didn't look like they were lying. That's right, ordinary directors didn't have the opportunity to touch projects with an investment cost of over 100 million.

This time there was no Enlight, and no Shanghai Film.

The former was preparing several movies at the same time and couldn't spare the funds; the latter... Han Sanping felt there were enough people...

"You said you wanted big-name actors this time, any intentions?"

"For this type of theme, the first one I consider is Jackie Chan, followed by Andy Lau; actually, Tony Leung and others are also on my list.

In addition, for mainland actors, I also want to find some more mature ones, including female roles..."

Lin Nan spoke unhurriedly, and Han Sanping and the Wanda people listened very seriously.

This intended cast sounded reliable.

"What about the budget?"

The Wanda person asked, not afraid of it being high, but worried about it being low.

"Between 100 million and 200 million; mainly because this is an ensemble play, the actors' pay will be a lot, and since a few big names aren't decided, the budget is hard to determine.

I even have the idea of letting one or two big-name actors take a box office share."

Hearing Lin Nan's words, the two people opposite frowned.

The domestic market is not like Hollywood, where taking a share is quite common, but domestically, production parties are still very traditional.

Especially Lin Nan's commercial films, which were highly likely to make money.

This made the two of them even less willing to see others come over to share the cake.

"How about forgetting about Jackie Chan?"

Han Sanping mentioned it.

He knew Jackie Chan's price, and this wasn't a Hollywood movie that could sell a lot of money just by relying on videotapes.

"Later, I'll have someone contact him first to see; now it's indeed not as good as before, and the domestic market is not the international market."

Lin Nan said, implying something.

In one morning, the three parties discussed a rough distribution plan.

China Film 30%, Wanda 30%, Lin Nan 40%.

In addition, China Film's share included promotion and distribution work; Wanda also needed to provide cinema chain screening support.

Both China Film and Wanda were a bit resistant to giving actors a box office share, so Lin Nan could only let it go.

The next day, Liu Yifei told Lin Nan that Lu Yang had apologized to her.

Said he was too careless before, actually wanting to invite her to act as Zhou Miaotong.

"Actually, at the beginning, I really wanted to agree."

Liu Yifei tilted her head and said.

"After all, this character's life experience is quite miserable, a loyal official's descendant, wrongly accused and entered the Music Bureau, fate is not her own, like duckweed in troubled times, but she still keeps herself clean..."

Blah blah, Liu Yifei said a long string, the sentimentality of a literary girl, embodied vividly.

"Your status is no longer suitable for acting in such roles." Lin Nan said.

"Mm, I know. Mom also told me, telling me not to be stupid, hee hee."

Liu Yifei knew that if she acted in this role, it would lower her status a bit, and the brands she endorsed would have opinions.

After all, Lu Yang was still just a small director.

"As a producer, I can't not pay you a salary, how about changing it to an investment?" Lin Nan said softly.

"Hey, Lin Nan?"

"Brother Lau, it's me. Do you have a schedule recently?"

"Hehe, if you call to ask me, then there definitely is. What script is it?"

Lu Yang announced part of the casting situation for *Brotherhood of Blades* to the outside world.

"The heroine is still being considered, and will be announced later..."

Sharp-eyed media discovered the change information of *Brotherhood of Blades* in the filing table of the Film Bureau.

Originally, there was only Lin Nan Film Industry in the production party column, but now there was an extra Red Star House.

The meaning of this is self-evident.

At the same time, the news that Lin Nan was starting a new movie spread.

"According to reliable sources, Lin Dao Nan's new movie is undergoing script review."

Many companies in the industry came to inquire about the news.

According to Lin Nan's instructions, Yue Jun gave a positive reply.

Now, whether in the circle or on the internet, there was even more attention and discussion.

Many actors felt a trace of luck, lucky not to have been chosen by Lin Nan Film Industry's previous few movies.

Now, maybe they could still try their big luck.

"According to Lin Dao's habit, after the award-chasing film, it should be a commercial film!"

"Lin Dao Nan really does have this habit!"

"I wonder what type of commercial film it is?"

"Very curious, Lin Dao actually didn't let Liu Yifei act in his new film."

Lin Nan also read the comments on the internet.

In *The Thieves*, there is indeed a female thief who shows off her figure.

But that character is best played by a female actor around 27 to 35 years old, a mature woman, full of temptation, to be the most suitable.

Liu Yifei had read the script; this character even had seduction scenes, so she wasn't suitable at all.

Of the few big names Lin Nan intended, only Andy Lau agreed to his invitation on the spot, even saying that the pay was easy to talk about.

Actually, Lin Nan could accept Andy Lau's pay.

Jackie Chan's side said they needed to consider it; sometimes you can't just take whatever you want to take.

Lin Nan understood that meaning; changing the pay slightly would affect many things.

"Holy crap! Liu Yifei!"

Most of the domestic reporters were stunned.

"What's the situation?"

"Why is she here? Isn't she filming *Transcendence*?"

"Them?"

"Stop talking nonsense, shoot quickly..."

"This is huge, big news!"

……

……

Lin Nan held Liu Yifei's hand, and with Matt Damon, they were guided by staff to the waiting area.

Many domestic film crews noticed Lin Nan's party.

Liu Yifei's appearance was something almost no one had expected.

Huang Bo took a look and smiled. "This is going to blow up the industry..."

"How long have they been together?" Yan Ni felt Huang Bo should know.

Huang Bo shook his head; he wasn't touching that.

Back in China, a series of photos were updated.

Especially the photo of Lin Nan holding Liu Yifei's hand as they walked toward the waiting area.

The internet really started arguing.

"This, this..."

"Are they together?"

"They must be together. My Little Dragon Maiden..."

"Lin Dao Nan! If it's him, I have no objections."

"Not necessarily together, right? Alright, it's highly likely..."

"Is she crazy? Dating at such a young age, does she not want to develop in the film and television industry anymore?"

"Heartbroken, Zhao Linger belongs to someone else now..."

…………

Liu Yifei gripped Lin Nan's hand very tightly.

"Xixi, don't be nervous."

After Lin Nan said this, he saw the girl staring at him. "Lin Nan, will you always be this good to me?"

"I will, always."

Lin Nan tightened his grip on Liu Yifei's hand.

The staff was calling them.

"It's our turn."

The three of them walked toward the red carpet.

A large number of domestic media were incredibly excited.

"Lin Dao, Yifei, look over here..."
