Chapter 268: *Pi Fu*, Exploding Popularity

In one week, the 3D version of *Titanic* took 450 million in box office, occupying 80% of the market share.

Several other imported films also started to be released one after another.

Domestic films such as *The Great Robbery* and *Pi Fu* are always asked whether they have confidence when facing these Hollywood blockbusters during promotion.

Now you can't talk big, it will appear too fake.

Huang Xiaoming's emotional intelligence has always been very high:

"We, this group of fearless *Pi Fu* (commoners), are going to fight against Hollywood's strong ships and cannons, and fight for a breath for domestic films..."

Ning Hao is a bit reckless, "Nothing to say, just bite the bullet and rush forward. As long as *The Great Robbery* isn't crushed to death, we will bite off a piece of meat bite by bite..."

"Fortunately, the premiere ceremonies of the two films are not on the same day."

Lin Nan looked at the invitation for the *Pi Fu* premiere in his hand and said fortunately.

He and Huang Xiaoming have a good relationship, and he can't not go to Ning Hao's side.

I was thinking before, if it really hit on the same day, I would let Liu Yifei go to *Pi Fu*, and I would go to Ning Hao's side.

On the official website of the Film Bureau, the list of films that have obtained the screening permit was announced, and *Passengers* was on the list.

Before the media took the initiative to report, Lin Nan Film Industry, China Film, Wanda, and Enlight announced the release time to the outside world.

"*Passengers* is scheduled for National Day and will be released on September 27th..."

AVIC sent a congratulatory message. After all, investing in this film was just a side thing for them.

It is impossible to specifically announce the release time with the four companies, which would appear a bit "unprofessional."

"Hong Kong distribution is handed over to Emperor, Southeast Asia is still communicated by China Film... As for Europe and America, it still follows the copyright route."

Lin Nan, Han Sanping, and others quickly set the film's distribution matters.

The scheduling of *Passengers* has attracted great attention in the industry.

After all, the National Day slot is not a small slot, and many films have chosen that time or are preparing to choose that time.

For example, Huayi.

"Big brother, do we need to continue to adjust the schedule this time?"

Wang Zhonglei went to ask Wang Zhongjun the first time he saw the news of *Passengers*. After all, this is a film directed by Lin Nan himself, so it must be taken seriously.

"Adjust again? Originally *Detective Dee* was scheduled for September 30th, but he put *The Thieves* on that day. We were forced to release it half a month early, competing head-on with *Under the Hawthorn Tree*. Are we coming for this set again? It's too bullying!"

"But facts have proven that adjusting the schedule at the beginning was correct, otherwise..."

Wang Zhonglei stopped at the point.

*The Thieves* back then was too fierce. If *Detective Dee* hadn't been released half a month early, but chose to fight head-on, I'm afraid there wouldn't be *Young Detective Dee* now.

Wang Zhongjun frowned and thought for a while, "I don't believe it. The release time of *Tai Chi 0* remains unchanged. It is scheduled for September 27th. It will be released on that day, no changes!"

"Then, fine."

The release time of *Passengers* made the media extremely excited.

Because in addition to Huayi's *Tai Chi*, *Dangerous Liaisons* starring Zhang Ziyi and *Double Xposure* starring Fan Bingbing are all opponents of *Passengers*.

The release times of several films are either the same or only one or two days apart.

In the eyes of insiders, this National Day slot must be very lively.

Andy Lau, Zhou Xun, and others also forwarded Weibo and @ the crew.

A new China-US film policy has really brought quite a few "sweet spots." At least in the eyes of many insiders, this is the case.

Disney and mainland film and television companies high-profilely announced that they will cooperate to film *Iron Man 3*, starting in May.

Lin Nan thinks these people have bad brains. The *Iron Man* series is Disney's money-making project. How could they bring domestic companies along?

Because *Pacific Rim* was a project initiated by Lin Nan, the domestic capital proportion could exceed half, and so many engineers were stuffed into the crew!

But why should Disney's *Iron Man* bring domestic companies along? And how many domestic production personnel can be allowed to enter the crew and participate in post-production? This domestic market is not yet worth others dividing the global cake!

"At most, they will let Chinese film and television companies divide the Asian box office, and the investment may also have to be the big head..."

"Damn, special version?"

Lin Nan suddenly thought of something and reacted. Hollywood's flashy operation!

"Lin Dao, is China Film asking if the theme song should be released first?"

"Don't rush that *Light Years Away*. Wait until the second half of the year. If the song is released now, you won't be able to see the film for a while. After a long time, the sense of expectation will also be worn away."

Lin Nan hung up the phone and walked towards Liu Yifei.

He has to go to the *Pi Fu* premiere with Miss Liu.

Huang Xiaoming has put all his efforts into this film. I heard that he will personally go on stage today to sing, dance, and show off!

Liu Yifei didn't dress up much today, wearing an ordinary casual hoodie, jeans, sneakers, and light makeup.

Lin Nan looked in his eyes, how to say it? Miss Liu is becoming more and more casual.

But this is also quite good. After all, that face is enough. Whether wearing a dress or ordinary clothes, it is very beautiful.

"Let's go."

Wearing sneakers is different. Liu Yifei ran over in two or three steps and sat directly in the driver's seat. Lin Nan went to the passenger seat.

"Don't tell me, wearing this outfit today is just for driving?"

"Hehe, just by the way, let's go!"

"Slow down..."

This momentary push-back feeling caught Lin Nan off guard.

The scale of the *Pi Fu* premiere is not too big, just ordinary, mainly because there are not many media.

Maybe most of the media are squatting at the airport.

After all, the Beijing International Film Festival is about to open, and film stars and filmmakers from all over the world have started to arrive one after another in these two days.

A premiere ceremony can show how good Huang Xiaoming's popularity is in the circle. A large number of first and second-tier actors, stars, and film and television people came to support.

"Is this the performance he prepared?"

Sitting in the front row, Lin Nan and Liu Yifei both felt a bit spicy to the eyes. Wang Changtian and others on the side also couldn't help but smile.

I saw Huang Xiaoming leading a group of men, wearing leather pants on the lower body, only wearing a vest on the upper body, wearing black sunglasses, and dancing hip-hop on it. Don't say, they are all the kind with muscles!

"*Pi Fu*, it must be a man with muscles! Haha..."

Lin Nan explained forcefully. Most of the guests below were laughing. Obviously, this program is very innovative.

In all performance segments, Huang Xiaoming participated personally, full of sincerity.

The movie started, and Lin Nan watched very seriously.

This can be said to be a film where Huang Xiaoming carries the beam alone. He acted very attentively.

The nearly 100-minute film ended quickly, and everyone applauded very politely.

Lin Nan subconsciously picked a few thorns for this film.

Liu Yifei noticed Lin Nan's strangeness, "What's wrong, what is your opinion on this film?"

"How does Producer Liu see it?"

"Me? I think it's okay, quite funny. I feel the style is a bit similar to *Let the Bullets Fly*, but the overall difference is a lot."

Lin Nan nodded. It seems that Miss Liu has really improved a lot.

"If *Pi Fu* changed to a better schedule, maybe the results would be good..."

Hearing this, Liu Yifei knew that Lin Nan didn't think highly of the box office of *Pi Fu* in this slot.

Huang Xiaoming saw Lin Nan waving, so he walked over with a smile, and Zhang Yi also followed.

"Lin Dao, how is it? Give me an evaluation."

Huang Xiaoming smiled and said sincerely.

"Are you sure you want to hear it? What if it hits you?"

"Lin Dao, don't worry, this is the first film I invested in, and the worst plans have already been made..."

Lin Nan looked directly into Huang Xiaoming's eyes. He didn't look like he was lying.

"Hmm, your mentality is quite good. In my opinion, in terms of plot, the director is a bit wishful thinking. The biggest shortcoming is that the editing is too poor, which makes the film greatly discounted."

Lin Nan spoke the truth without concealment. The editor of this film must carry the big pot. In other words, the director's problem is very big.

Huang Xiaoming nodded, turned back to look at the director's direction, and let out a long breath.

Turning his head again, there was still a smile on his face, but it was less calm than just now.

Huang Xiaoming picked up a glass of red wine on the table and toasted Lin Nan: "Thank you, Lin Dao, I understand." Immediately, he drank it all in one gulp.

"You really don't think highly of the box office?"

On the way back, it was still Liu Yifei driving, Lin Nan drank alcohol.

"Changing to other slots, there is still hope, this time won't work. The opponents are all high-quality films, and there are so many imported films, you can't fight them..."

Lin Nan admires the film side of *Titanic* very much, actually really went to apply for the extension key.

However, the result is imaginable, of course, it was rejected. If it were really allowed to be extended, how would domestic films survive?

The second week ended, and the 3D version of *Titanic* got another 300 million. After half a month, the total box office was 750 million.

All production companies in the mainland are swallowing their saliva, both envious and a bit terrified. Is this going to rush to 1 billion?

The media squatted at the airport and really squatted on people.

The creative team of *The Avengers* has arrived. They will conduct film promotion and screening at the Beijing International Film Festival.

Hollywood knows that the market here is very large and the cake is very sufficient!

*Pacific Rim* at the beginning of the year got 1.42 billion in China. This news made Hollywood extremely excited...

"When talking about the investment proportion of *Inception*, Tom and I went to attend the engagement ceremony of Scarlett Johansson and Ryan Reynolds.

Now it's been 4 years, and they have been divorced for a year and a half, tsk tsk tsk..."

Lin Nan pointed to the photo taken by the media at the airport on the news and said to Liu Yifei.

"Why, are you feeling sorry for the gift you sent?" Miss Liu giggled.

Lin Nan shook his head, just a bit emotional. After all, that was the first time he sent a gift because others got married.

"In North America, the box office of *The Avengers* is very good. After this film, Scarlett will be completely popular, the kind of international first-tier actress!"

Lin Nan said softly.

"Are you sure?"

"Hmm, sure!"

Lin Nan nodded and said, maybe he can see her in two days.
