Chapter 305

The *Passengers* crew, everyone was present, not missing a single person.

Lin Nan and Liu Qianqian, as director and producer, were the focus of the scene today.

The premiere was still more than an hour away from officially starting, and everyone was busy socializing.

Liu Dehua, Zhou Xun, Lei Jiayin, and Liang Jiahui were all old hands who were at ease in such occasions.

Only Especially Reba was brought by Liu Qianqian, appearing a bit unfamiliar and restrained.

Lin Nan and Han Sanping and others were talking when Fan Bingbing walked over with a wine glass, in a tight-fitting dress, very figure-flattering.

"... Wish Lin Dao's *Passengers* and *Bad Genius* sell well, and win gold at the Golden Horse."

After speaking, Fan Bingbing drank half a glass of red wine in one gulp.

This bold style was what big shots like Han Sanping liked.

"Thank you, I originally thought you couldn't come, isn't your film's premiere also preparing?"

"Of course I have to come, in a while, in the hibernation pod, there's also me. Speaking of the premiere, please Lin Dao find time to show your support, on the 27th, the day *Passengers* is released."

Lin Nan nodded and agreed; this wasn't a big deal. "Sure."

Seeing Lin Nan agree, Fan Bingbing greeted Han Sanping and others again, then walked away very perceptively.

……

Seeing that the time was about right, everyone returned to their seats.

The first two rows were state-owned enterprises like Aviation Industry, Zhongying, Shanghai Film Group, Xi'an Film Group, etc., as well as production parties like Wanda, Enlight, and major film and television companies in the circle.

Huayi had two bosses, which was very advantageous; one came to Lin Nan's side, and one went to the *Dangerous Liaisons* side.

Lin Nan and Liu Qianqian stood on the stage, with five actors beside them.

"Quite a few people sitting below today, you will be able to see them in the film in a while."

As soon as Lin Nan said this, it immediately caused a burst of laughter.

It had long been heard in the circle that when Lin Nan was filming *Passengers* during that time, he was looking for people to cameo everywhere; those who came to visit the set were almost all pulled in as laborers without exception.

Only Yu Dong laughed awkwardly below; Lin Nan didn't invite him to cameo...

"Right, let me introduce everyone."

At this time, Liu Qianqian remembered something and pulled Especially Reba to the front.

"Especially Reba has already appeared in *Bad Genius*. But truly speaking, *Passengers* is her big-screen debut, the second female lead."

Especially Reba tried hard to maintain a smile, listening to Liu Qianqian introducing herself to all the guests present today, feeling very nervous inside.

"... If there are suitable roles, everyone can look for her..."

Liu Qianqian spoke eloquently, recommending Especially Reba on stage, welcoming a round of applause.

"Thank you, I am Especially Reba... Junior at Shanghai Theatre Academy..."

The name is Especially Reba, how come she stutters when she speaks?

Lin Nan and Liu Dehua and others stood on the side and couldn't help but laugh out loud.

Below the stage, Yang Mi and Ceng Jia were a bit emotional; this newcomer Especially Reba, her fate is really good!

"She hugged a big thigh, Liu Qianqian's." Ceng Jia muttered in a low voice.

"Indeed, she has a good fate, better luck than I had back then."

……

Some young actors brought in by elders were also a bit envious at this moment.

In the middle position, Hu Ge smiled and glanced at Cai Yinong on the side, who was indeed frowning.

Maybe in a few years, this Especially Reba would be more popular than the company's top sister?

……

*Passengers* was officially screened for the first time.

In the lens, the boundless universe, the stars are brilliant.

The huge yet tiny interstellar spaceship seems to fly past a star close at hand, the visual sense is extremely shocking!

The meteorite group is coming towards the spaceship...

The lens zooms in infinitely, entering the interior of the spaceship, the imaginative architectural design also makes people's eyes light up.

"Aviation Industry's design is so awesome, it feels like returning to the time of watching *The Martian*..."

Fragmented voices sounded, and several actors and artists couldn't help but exclaim.

"Damn, President Han!"

"Damn, is it really President Han?!"

When the first hibernation pod lens appeared, all the guests at the scene were shocked.

The first lens was given to the boss of Zhongying, Lin Dao is capable!

Han Sanping was smiling so much that his eyes couldn't be seen; this lens lasted for six or seven seconds, very good.

The film subtitles still hadn't ended, and the long lens of the hibernation pod area started to move down.

"... Zhang Yimou, Huang Bo... Tian Zhuangzhuang, Huang Xiaoming, Fan Bingbing... Jiang Wen, Ning Hao..."

Dozens of big shots and first-tier stars in the circle made everyone surprised.

This long lens was three and a half minutes long, until it finally froze in front of two adjacent hibernation pods.

"It's Lin Dao and Qianqian!"

"The two of them know how to play? Cameoing as immigrants to an alien planet also have to be a pair!"

……

The discussion grew louder and louder, mostly with laughter.

The two-hour film slowly unfolded.

Although it was a romance film, the sci-fi special effects lenses were not ambiguous at all, making everyone watch and exclaim wonderful.

……

"Ask me about the box office?"

"Right, you are the producer."

Liu Qianqian held the microphone and looked at Zhou Xun with a smile; the latter glared back as if playing.

"I think the box office will definitely be very good, but it might not exceed *Bad Genius*, because the lead actress of *Passengers* is Sister Xun, not me!"

"Go to hell." Zhou Xun scolded with a smile.

"Hi, I am the producer, not giving face like this, be careful I won't look for you next time."

Liu Qianqian pretended to be angry and replied; it was clearly joking and teasing.

Below, another burst of laughter erupted. The box office question was considered fooled through.

……

The longer Lin Nan stayed in this circle, the more clearly he understood some rules of this industry, such as human relationships and interest exchanges.

Just like at this moment, Jiang Teacher Wenli brought her niece over to say hello, and Lin Nan chatted with interest.

"It's not like before, actresses really want to get ahead, they can't do without commercial films.

If there is an opportunity in the future, give her a role, Director Gu and I will thank you in advance."

"Sister Teacher Wenli is polite, if there is an opportunity, of course it's possible."

"Thank you, Lin Dao."

Perhaps it was after Jiang Teacher Wenli's "teaching" for a few years, Ma Sichun indeed wasn't as "reckless" as when they first met, becoming much smoother.

"Back then *Return to Dust* got nothing at the Golden Rooster, I hope this time at the Golden Horse, there can be a good result."

Jiang Teacher Wenli looked at Lin Nan and said implicitly.

Back then, the lead actress of *Return to Dust* was Jiang Teacher Wenli.

And this time at the Golden Horse Awards, the five-person judging panel for the final round had her position!

Two out of five.

Lin Nan nodded with a smile. "Thank you, Sister Teacher Wenli, borrow your auspicious words."

…………

The premiere ended, and the media was very busy.

"*Passengers* premiere ended, special effects are shocking, sci-fi romance blockbuster, not to be missed."

"There are more than forty cameo guests in the industry, Lin Dao Nan, worthy of being a big move!"

"Liu Qianqian recommends newcomer actor Especially Reba to producers and film and television companies in the film and television circle present!"

……

"*Dangerous Liaisons* premiere, the guest lineup is slightly thin. Little Sa hosted it personally..."

"Zhang Ziyi said tearfully at the premiere: I just want to find a good person, an honest person to marry!"

"Dou Xiao speaks out, his work has always been handled by Pu Lun, not New Pictures..."

……

Lin Nan and Liu Dehua met; the latter would return to Hong Kong and go to the Golden Horse to participate in the judging work shortly after.

The next time they meet should be at the Golden Horse Awards in November.

"Lin Dao, see you at the Golden Horse."

"See you at the Golden Horse."

……

Several domestic films were all ready to go.

In terms of media publicity, it was instead a bit deserted.

"Huayi calls on theater chains to be as fair as possible in scheduling, rather than looking at people to serve dishes."

Yue Jun seemed to be telling a joke, that was originally a joke.

"This is targeting *Passengers*?"

Lin Nan lowered his head and smiled, asking while knowing the answer.

The theater side would definitely prioritize taking care of Lin Nan's film, because there was a box office guarantee.

"Obviously. The screening volume on the first day gave us 30%, that *Looper* is far behind."

*Looper* was the imported blockbuster that several domestic films had to face, and no one could escape.

"They should thank me for carrying it in front." Lin Nan joked casually.

……

Two days passed in a flash.

*Passengers*, *Tai Chi 0*, *Dangerous Liaisons*, three films were released on the same day.

Whether it was the film circle or major media, everyone was slightly excited.

Looking at the actor lineup and investment scale, these three films were all blockbusters. And being released on the same day was also a hot topic of public opinion.

The three films could be taken for comparison and hype at any time and place, with endless material to write.

On the first day of the film's release, Lin Nan went to attend the premiere of *Second Exposure*.

While Liu Qianqian made an appointment with Shu Chang and Especially Reba to go singing; Miss Liu is an out-and-out microphone hog.

The box office on the first day could be said to be anticipated by everyone.

At the same time, the evaluations of the three films online were also different.

"*Passengers* first-day box office reported 49.6 million, a small test of the sword!"

"Different from the pure hardcore sci-fi of *The Martian*, *Passengers* appears more tender, but it is still a wonderful sci-fi romance blockbuster..."

"Starring Zhang Baizhi and Zhang Ziyi, the romance film *Dangerous Liaisons* with an investment of 200 million, the first-day box office is extremely poor, reported 4.6 million, no hope of breaking even..."

"Produced by Huayi, directed by newcomer director Feng Delun, starring martial arts champion Yuan Xiaochao and Yang Ying, *Tai Chi 0* shows a trend of decline, first-day box office 8.9 million, far from the set goal..."

……

What the industry cares about most is the box office; as expected, Lin Nan's *Passengers* was indeed riding alone.

And at this time, the evaluations of the three films online had long spread.

How did that saying go?

Not afraid of not knowing the goods, just afraid of comparing goods!

When the three films were placed in front, whether it was the audience or the media, they all had endless things to say.

Which one is more garbage, which one is very poor, the more they compare, the more it can be revealed.

Fortunately, *Passengers* was the film used as a benchmark for comparison, not the one being scolded.
