Chapter 419: What

Guo Zhihao's expression changed, and he gritted his teeth, continuing to speak.

"Manager Zhang, listen to me finish."

"I didn't say you should replace Nie Jingjing, but I hope you can let Shishi and Nie Jingjing join the cast together and arrange a role for her."

"Anyway, the screenwriting team is your own people; adding a role isn't a difficult task."

"Recently, dual-female-lead plots have been very popular, and several major female-lead dramas have ranked in the top three in satellite TV ratings. Your company might want to consider it."

Guo Zhihao's ambition was very great. He not only wanted to snatch the project Xu Tian had been negotiating for a long time but even wanted Zhou Shishi to suck Nie Jingjing's blood and have Nie Jingjing nurture his newcomer.

After hearing Guo Zhihao's words, Zhang Baishun was also somewhat tempted.

Currently, the topic of dual female leads indeed has a lot of explosive potential. And given Nie Jingjing's temper, if she were in the same cast as a newcomer, there would definitely be a lot of gossip to hype up, such as them not seeing eye to eye or acting like divas.

Although Nie Jingjing comes with a "hot search" constitution, having only her on the hot search still lacks explosive points.

To put it bluntly, netizens nowadays love gossip about female stars tearing each other apart, wishing they could turn the entire entertainment industry into a palace drama.

If the current number one sister of Qingguo Music and the newcomer heavily promoted by the company were to enter the same cast to play dual female leads, and some conflicts were arranged in their scenes, it might really make this series of projects more eye-catching.

Nowadays, the short video industry is not a monopoly. For example, Lemon Short Video's competitor, Apple Audio-Visual, has been competing with them for the position of hegemon in the short video industry for the past few years.

And because several new short video websites have emerged recently to divide the traffic, websites like theirs, which were the first to start in short videos, have also developed a sense of crisis.

Inviting stars to join the unit short video shooting this time was a bold attempt by Zhang Baishun.

If the effect is not good, I am afraid the budget for the next quarter will be greatly reduced.

In fact, Zhang Baishun didn't want to find a vase like Nie Jingjing, who only had popularity, to star in the first series of unit short videos.

But because Xu Tian, the former supervisor of the Economic Department of Qingguo Music, was capable and provided him with five promotional plans, and clearly laid out the pros and cons of the cooperation when discussing with him, this changed his view.

Other agents promoting their own artists only show the best data, but Xu Tian is different. He very honestly put all the advantages and disadvantages of having Nie Jingjing as the female lead on the table.

Therefore, Zhang Baishun intended to cooperate with Nie Jingjing, but for the sake of so-called "client" face, he dragged it out for another month before giving an answer.

Originally, he came today to sign a contract with Xu Tian, but he didn't expect that the supervisor of the Economic Department of Qingguo Music had changed.

The newly appointed Guo Zhihao proposed another plan: to let Nie Jingjing bring a newcomer to film a dual-female-lead drama.

Although Zhou Shishi is still just a newcomer, looking at Guo Zhihao's intentions, he wants her to step on Nie Jingjing to get to the top. Therefore, letting her join the cast with Nie Jingjing indeed has more topicality.

Since he had already made an exception to use Nie Jingjing for the sake of heat, adding one more person didn't seem to have much impact.

Therefore, he wasn't unable to consider this proposal.

Guo Zhihao observed his expression and found that Zhang Baishun's expression had loosened, so he immediately gestured to Zhou Shishi.

Zhou Shishi leaned towards Zhang Baishun even more enthusiastically.

"Manager Zhang, just give me a chance~"

"I definitely won't let you down!"

As she spoke, she placed her hand on the inner thigh of Guo Zhihao, rubbing it ambiguously back and forth, while tilting her head and pressing her thin lips close to his ear, exhaling like an orchid.

"When I become famous in the future, you will be my Bole!"

"Then I really can't wait to ride you, this thousand-mile horse!"

Zhang Baishun laughed loudly, and in front of Guo Zhihao, those big hands became increasingly restless.

"Manager Zhang, take a look at this again."

Guo Zhihao saw that the atmosphere was sufficiently built up, so he handed over a bank card at the right time.

"This is?"

Zhang Baishun understood in his heart but deliberately played dumb, waiting for Guo Zhihao to clarify.

"This is a little token of my appreciation. The password is six zeros. I hope Manager Zhang can accept it."

"You promote Shishi, and I can't let you work for nothing. If there are benefits, we should earn them together."

As he spoke, Guo Zhihao pushed the bank card towards Zhang Baishun again.

"This is just a deposit. After Shishi's salary is credited, there will be another portion. It's all my filial piety to you."

With a beauty in his arms and being able to get a kickback, Zhang Baishun suddenly felt that there was no harm in cooperating with Guo Zhihao.

At least this person is more slick than Xu Tian. Cooperating with him, he can also get more oil and water, and can increase traffic for the website. It's killing two birds with one stone.

So he let go: "Regarding your proposal for dual female leads, I can indeed consider it. However, what kind of role to arrange for her specifically depends on how the screenwriting team modifies it."

"I've read the script." Guo Zhihao offered advice to Zhang Baishun: "This time, the ancient palace major female lead script you arranged for Nie Jingjing—now that palace dramas are popular, why not change it according to this routine and let Shishi play her good sister."

"Good sisters turning against each other for a man—this is the drama audiences love to watch the most."

"Okay, I will communicate with the screenwriting team when I go back." Zhang Baishun nodded in agreement.

"Then I wish Manager Zhang's short video to break records again in advance." Guo Zhihao smiled and raised his glass.

"Borrowing your auspicious words, let's cooperate for a win-win situation."

Zhang Baishun hugged Zhou Shishi's shoulder and also raised his glass to clink with Guo Zhihao's.

The next day.

Yan Qingxue ran to Xu Tian's office as soon as she started work.

"Xu Tian, why are you still so leisurely?"

"I warned you long ago to be vigilant against this capitalist Guo Qishan. He used you to solve the company's crisis, and once you achieved some results, he turned around and parachuted someone in to pick the peaches. This is simply killing the donkey after the millstone is used!"

"Watch your wording." Xu Tian's eye twitched.

"Xu Tian, how can you still be so calm?"

Yan Qingxue was almost driven mad with anger, but seeing Xu Tian sitting leisurely behind his desk drinking tea, she couldn't help but feel even more furious.

"This Guo Zhihao just entered the company and is shouting to the world that he negotiated the cooperation with Lemon Short Video. You negotiated with them for more than two months before Manager Zhang loosened up, and now he just eats a meal with them and takes all the credit?"

She felt very indignant for Xu Tian.

"Isn't he just a parachuted connection? What's so great about that?"

"I'm telling you, this is just the beginning. There will definitely be no shortage of annoying things after you work with him!"

"Xu Tian, you can't really not see what Guo Qishan's intention is in parachuting his own nephew over, right?"

"This is clearly wanting to kick you away after using you!"

"Do you want some tea?" Xu Tian pointed to the teacup in front of his desk: "A specialty I brought back from Country Y. Although the spice flavor is a bit heavy, the taste is okay." ===== CHAPTER 420 =====
