Chapter 124: Beast Phase

Bao Jing tensed his face, reached for the door handle of Lin Zhi Jing's room and was about to turn it, but stopped immediately, his palm trembling violently, his knuckles stretched almost translucent.

"Then I don't want it!"

Ye Xi'an regretted terribly; could she survive seven days? She definitely couldn't.

If she died because of this, it would be a disgrace to the whole Diqiu!

Bao Jing turned his head and saw Yi Yang's silly look, wondering how his parents had raised him to still act like a child even as an adult.

"Staring does you no good," Bao Jing said disdainfully to Yi Yang.

This made Yi Yang immediately cast his hostile glare at Bao Jing, puffing his cheeks in silence, deciding to act like an inscrutable but temperamental little dog.

"Tsk, idiot."

Bao Jing turned his head aside; even glancing at Yi Yang again felt like a waste of time.

Ji Jiangci furrowed his brows, his face full of doubt: "We can't keep waiting like this."

The male estrus lasts from four to ten days, and no one knows when Lin Zhi Jing will come out with Ye Xi'an.

If Ye Xi'an doesn't come out, they won't be able to buy food, which is a minor issue; the real problem is that if Ye Xi'an goes without nutrition for too long, she'll become emaciated.

Bao Jing crossed his arms, as if he didn't know any of this: "So what do you think we should do?"

The male estrus is divided into three stages: Beast Phase, Calming Phase, Sensitive Phase.

During the Beast Phase, a male may enter a short irrational period, only seeking to mate with females without regard for them, but it lasts briefly.

The final Sensitive Phase, at the tail end of estrus, after intense pleasure, the male becomes anxious that the female will abandon him; the mating urge fades, yet he can't help wanting to cling to the female constantly—kissing, hugging, lifting her high.

"I'm so hungry," Ye Xi'an felt her stomach being squeezed by hunger, urgently needing food.

"I'll order takeout."

While Lin Zhi Jing was ordering takeout, Ji Jiangci outside knocked on the door again.

"Lin Zhi Jing, open the door!"

After submitting the order, he draped a blanket over Ye Xi'an: "I'll go see what they're up to."
