Chapter 60

~7 min read 1,219 words

While Lupin was doubting his cognition, Hagrid yawned and leaned back on the chair.

In the creaking sound, Hagrid fell asleep in a second, and immediately after, the snoring like a cannonball started, shaking the dust on the roof of the wooden cabin down.

Lupin was a bit speechless. Hagrid was indeed a bit impolite, but he shouldn't have done it on purpose.

Walking out of the wooden cabin, Lupin dispelled the idea of taking Frank to the Forbidden Forest for a walk. He hadn't been back to Hogwarts for a while, and it seemed that a big change had taken place here.

"Frank, do you feel a bit sleepy?" Lupin asked on the way back.

"It's okay." For Frank, staying up late wasn't a big problem.

Lupin hesitated for a moment. "I feel something is wrong. Fawkes' appearance is also sleepy, Fang is too, and the creatures in the Forbidden Forest are too. What exactly happened?"

"Yeah..." Frank inexplicably had a feeling that this matter might have something to do with him.

It's just that this kind of sleepiness left the human race out. Is this a good thing or a bad thing?

Returning to the dormitory, before Frank had taken off his clothes, he heard heavy breathing coming from Lupin's side. Lupin, like Hagrid, also fell asleep in a second.

Hiccup~

Frank sat on the bed and hiccuped. He felt that he was a bit different from others. Recently, when he was here, he would always feel a kind of inexplicable fullness.

It was as if something had been entering his body in the air, causing this mental fullness.

Early the next morning, Frank became the one who got up the earliest. While others were still in their dreams, he had already started exercising.

Whoosh~ After exhaling a long breath, Frank found that a cat had been watching him at the edge of the open space.

"Tsk, tsk, tsk, meow, meow~" Frank took out beef jerky from his pocket and teased the little cat.

The little cat showed a helpless expression to Frank. Just as Frank felt this was too humanized, the cat suddenly changed, turning into an elegant lady.

"Hello, I am Minerva McGonagall, Transfiguration Professor." McGonagall greeted.

Now it was Frank's turn to be embarrassed. He stuffed the beef jerky into his mouth and coughed twice. "Hello, I am Frank, Lupin's friend."

"I know, come with me. Dumbledore asked me to call you over." McGonagall said.

Under McGonagall's guidance, Frank experienced the naughtiness of the moving stairs. After stepping on them, these stairs would always change in complex directions, trying their best to make the people in them get lost.

Yesterday, when Dumbledore led the team, these stairs weren't this naughty, but McGonagall leading the team was about the same. She could easily distinguish the roads after the changes.

After arriving at the office safely all the way, opening the door, Dumbledore was sitting behind the desk with high spirits, looking at the two of them with a smile on his face.

"Did you sleep well last night?"

"Not bad, the environment here makes people very comfortable." When Frank answered, his eyes were always on the Pensieve on the desktop.

Seeing Frank so impatient, Dumbledore also took the opportunity to enter the topic. "After a busy night, its mode has been adjusted almost there. You can try it."

"Thank you very much for your help." Frank said from the bottom of his heart, then walked half a circle around the table. "How do you use this thing?"

McGonagall demonstrated for Frank directly, standing in front of the Pensieve, hands on the sides, concentrating. "I will hold the rudder of thought and pick up the lost traveler."

A dreamlike small boat appeared in the Pensieve, moving slowly and steadily towards Frank.

When the two touched, Frank felt McGonagall's voice echoing in his mind. Closing his eyes, his thoughts sank down.

Frank saw that on the sea of mind, McGonagall was sitting at the bow of the boat waving at him. The pure light in the sky shone on the sea, making everything mysterious and dreamy.

A minute later, McGonagall let go, then signaled Frank to try it. "Remember, when chanting the spell, recall a deep memory of yours, preferably related to your goal. This can point the Pensieve in the absence of magic guidance."

Frank nodded, then began to try. On the third attempt, a small sailboat appeared on the Pensieve.

McGonagall pointed her wand, and the sailboat began to move towards her.

In this state, Frank felt that everything around him became increasingly sensitive. Soon the hull sailed into a strange sea area.

The sea around was constantly changing, rising with all kinds of animal fantasies. This is McGonagall's sea of mind.

Frank looked up and successfully met McGonagall on the small island not far away. The two waved at each other as a greeting.

On that small island, cats were lying lazily, exposing their bellies, enjoying the sunshine.

If this picture were seen by those in the Sacred Fire Meow Meow Cult, they would probably go crazy directly.

Just as Frank was preparing to observe the appearance of those cats further, a thick fog appeared out of thin air on the sea of mind. In the blink of an eye, Frank found himself sailing out of McGonagall's sea of mind.

"Attempting to peek at the manifestations of others' sea of mind has the suspicion of peeking at memories." McGonagall explained to Frank.

"Sorry, I didn't know." Frank apologized sincerely.

McGonagall didn't care too much either. Dumbledore had explained Frank's identity to her. For some of their common sense here, Frank didn't know, let alone some advanced hidden taboos.

"Excuse me, if I want to borrow this magical item, what do I need to pay?" Frank asked directly.

McGonagall stood on the side. The thing was made by Dumbledore, so the pricing matter naturally had nothing to do with her.

After half a minute, Dumbledore still hadn't replied. Frank looked at Dumbledore from the side curiously and found that Dumbledore seemed to have fallen asleep.

McGonagall gave Frank an apologetic smile, then tapped the table lightly.

Dumbledore woke up from his dream and yawned. "Sorry, people get old, so it's easy to get sleepy."

"You are too overworked." Frank said and repeated the question from the beginning again.

Dumbledore wiped a little saliva from the corner of his mouth with the back of his hand. "No need to pay anything. We can lend it to you for free. Helping each other is fine."

"Thank you for your generosity! In the future, if you need anything, I will go through fire and water, and I will not refuse." Frank patted his chest and said.

"Mr. Frank, how should we contact you?" McGonagall raised a key question on the side.

Frank paused. "This might have to wait until Johnson wakes up to solve it."

"It's not that I did it on purpose, it's really that the permission of the transfer point is on him, and I can't make a key." Frank explained immediately.

"No matter, no matter." Dumbledore waved his hand indifferently. "When the time comes, if there is a key, you give it to Lupin, and we will contact you through him if there is anything."
