Chapter 7: Money Opens the Way—What is

*Slap! *

A table scattered to the ground with a *clatter*, and a palm print was even imprinted on the largest tabletop.

Alexandra was filled with rage; all the ninjas Frank had tricked into death were his subordinates.

He was so angry now not because of the death of the ninjas themselves, but because this matter had made him lose great face in front of the other four Hand leaders.

"Trash! All trash!" Dela sprayed at his subordinates before him.

*Ding, ding, ding~*

Suddenly, Dela's phone rang.

Glancing at the displayed contact, Dela pointed his finger at the door. "All of you, get out!"

Hearing their leader say this, all the ninjas left in a hurry. Standing in place and being scolded for half an hour was not a pleasant experience.

"Hey, Gao, if you're here to mock me, shut up quickly. I'm going to tear that guy to pieces!" Dela shouted loudly into the phone.

On the other side of the phone was another Hand leader, known as Madame Gao. Her relationship with Dela was still quite good.

"I have no interest in the matter of your subordinates being fished," Madame Gao replied faintly. "I'm just curious why someone would know about the Dragon Bone."

"How would I know," Dela replied unhappily. "Maybe it was that old man who caused it? Isn't he also active in that vicinity?"

"The person who fished is named Punisher, original name Frank, retired soldier, hidden agent," Madame Gao continued.

"Agent? Hmph, how many agents have I killed?" Dela was full of murderous intent. "Where did you get the news? Is there an address? Send it to me, and I'll owe you a favor."

"He is a person from the Strategic Homeland Intervention, Enforcement and Logistics Division," Madame Gao said, with an unclear meaning in her tone. "The security clearance is very high. This news was also heard indirectly by the mole I planted."

Dela fell silent. Using such an important mole, Madame Gao definitely wasn't doing it to help him regain face. "What do you mean?"

"Could the Dragon Bone really be there? Are those people going to intervene in this matter?"

Madame Gao's two questions made Dela silent. S. H. I. E. L. D. was a big trouble. The power they possessed was difficult for the Hand to confront. Of course, the premise was that the entire S. H. I. E. L. D. did nothing but kill the Hand.

"Maybe it really is there," Dela said, his eyes lighting up. He didn't have much time left.

"As for those who might intervene, whoever they are, as long as they stop our actions, they are the enemy!"

Dela brought the entire Hand into his words. He didn't want to bear all the pressure alone.

"I know. We have decided to transfer the command of all squads in that vicinity to you. I hope you can find the Dragon Bone," Madame Gao continued.

You decided? Why didn't you ask for my opinion?

Dela was about to open his mouth, but swallowed the question back. "Fine, I'll be responsible for the searching."

After the call ended, Dela sat in his seat, rubbing the token representing the Hand leader, and made a decision.

The situation in Hell's Kitchen was very special. The most powerful force was the original inhabitants inside, but they fought their own battles most of the time, so there would be no problem as long as they didn't provoke public anger.

Besides the original inhabitants, the force with the greatest influence was Kingpin's criminal group. If you wanted to make a big scene in Hell's Kitchen, you couldn't bypass Kingpin.

Moreover, Dela felt that at this time, he couldn't afford to miss any force he could borrow.

"Wilson, it's me, Alexandra. I want to make a deal with you..."

Dela dialed Kingpin's phone in a low voice.

Two days later, in Hell's Kitchen, Kingpin's team patrolled the street with great fanfare, and Dela's ninjas hid low-key within the team.

Such an arrogant move didn't provoke much hostility or attack from others.

Because Kingpin had played the "big spender" once, spending plenty of money to buy off most of the local gangs.

Even as long as you were a person, holding a gun, you could go to the location set by Kingpin and receive a not-so-small sum of money according to the day.

The money spent on this was all paid by the Hand, and Kingpin also used this money to put a charitable name on himself.

After all, giving out money indiscriminately—who could say he wasn't a great philanthropist?

Frank and Stick's two groups, watching this situation, both fell silent.

"Money power" was indeed powerful. Now, more than half of the people in Hell's Kitchen stood on the side of Kingpin and the Hand.

If Frank were to set traps like he did at the beginning, as long as he didn't escape Hell's Kitchen at the fastest speed, he would definitely be beaten into meat paste by countless gunmen and die without a burial place.

Trouble...

Frank rubbed the special phone in his hand and thought for a long time, but in the end, he could only admit that in this situation, he alone couldn't do anything, and he could only introduce a new force to confront them.

"Hey, Director Nick, this is Frank. I have something to find you about."

That's right, the force Frank thought about introducing was S. H. I. E. L. D. —of course, not the entire S. H. I. E. L. D.

Relying on his relationship with Nick Fury, it wasn't a big problem for Frank to mobilize one or two agent squads.

And more importantly, it was an official identity. Using this, he could at least barely confront Kingpin's team, which had established a philanthropist's reputation.

However, as more and more forces participated, things were slowly exceeding everyone's design.

Inside Alexander Pierce's office, the computer displayed two documents, which were a summary of recent events in Hell's Kitchen. Pierce himself stood at the window, not knowing what he was looking at.

The mole planted by the Hand, under Pierce's deliberate indulgence, obtained part of Frank's information from the system.

Frank, Pierce also knew—a killer of villains active in Hell's Kitchen. It was normal for him to have a conflict with the Hand.

Additionally, this behavior of the Hand directly aroused Nick Fury's suspicion, which was also what Pierce wanted. He originally wanted Nick Fury to suppress the Hand. Recently, the Hand had reached out a bit too far, interfering with many of Hydra's territories.

Originally, things were going very smoothly, but Pierce discovered that things were a bit out of control.

The Hand had contacted Kingpin. He didn't know what price they paid, but in short, these people were now digging wells everywhere in Hell's Kitchen.

Frank had also had a call with Nick Fury. Pierce didn't know exactly what was said, but S. H. I. E. L. D. had sent three agent squads into Hell's Kitchen.

Of course, a small half of the agents were Pierce's people, but the overall command was in Frank's hands. Frank didn't say, and Pierce didn't know what they wanted to do.

After sorting out the tangled information in his heart for a long time, Pierce suddenly associated it with the "vegetable" incident from more than two weeks ago.

All the people at that banquet were taken away by S. H. I. E. L. D., and finally judged by doctors as "vegetables" due to special circumstances. Now, it still wasn't clear what the reason was.

Could it be because of this matter...

Pierce thought about it and reached for the communicator. He planned to call a few Hydra action squads to Hell's Kitchen to see what was going on. ===== CHAPTER 8 =====
