Chapter 122
The Buddhist monk in gray robes strode toward Zhou Yiyi, his eyes fierce, and clasped his hands as he gestured to her, barely reaching his waist.
“Where did this mad girl come from, daring to speak such nonsense here?”
Before he finished speaking!
The gray-robed Buddhist monk extended a hand as large as a fan, reaching to seize Zhou Yiyi’s head.
BOOM!
A powerful gust of wind suddenly erupted in the hall, forcing everyone to squint; when they opened their eyes again, their pupils shrank in shock.
Mo Fen covered his eyes, and when the wind ceased, he saw what lay before him—his eyes nearly popped out.
There, on the ground, knelt the Flame Clan’s gray-robed Buddhist monk, prostrate and trembling uncontrollably, blood streaming from all seven orifices.
Standing before them, Zhou Yiyi snapped her fingers. “Where are the other two Buddhist monks?”
Two Buddhist monks in the crowd recoiled in terror, their faces pale with fear, staring at the young girl of about twenty from a foreign land.
How is this possible?
Just moments ago, they had felt no aura from her—yet in an instant, the pressure radiating from her caused their souls to tremble with dread.
Zha Xi Mo, patriarch of the Lion Clan, stood with his mouth wide open; he never imagined a girl of twenty would step forward so powerfully in a crisis.
Even Lu Fang, though prepared, was startled—both were Super-Ninth Rank, yet even with a rank difference, such a vast gap should not exist.
This is too strong!
Strong to the point of absurdity.
Mo Fen jumped in fright, heart pounding as he cried out: “Master Yu Fan, what happened? What just occurred?”
Kneeling on the ground, Master Yu Fan struggled to speak in Western Regions tongue; though incomprehensible, his tone clearly begged for help.
Zhou Yiyi kicked Master Yu Fan away, impatiently saying: “Didn’t you say there were three? Where are the other two?”
The remaining two Flame Clan Buddhist monks retreated step by step, lacking even the courage to face Zhou Yiyi.
Master Yu Fan was a Third-Stage Buddhist monk—two ranks above them, just one step from becoming a Semi-Buddha—and yet such a powerful being was obliterated in an instant!
To them, Zhou Yiyi was a Semi-Saint—how could they not fear her?
Lu Fang judged the effect sufficient and scanned the crowd. “Fourth Sister, that’s enough. Who dares touch my sister?”
Mo Fen, who had been so arrogant moments ago, now trembled violently, beads of sweat rolling down his forehead.
Lu Fang stepped forward, his face grim; behind him appeared the spectral form of Zhang Yide, unleashing the Supernatural Power—Sonic Roar—as he bellowed: “Who dares lift a finger against my sister? Step forward if you dare—I’ll see you!”
He was truly enraged!
In this Great Zhou, Lu Fang cared for only one person—his sister. She was his forbidden point; he would beat the Great Zhou’s Imperial Prince for her, travel to the Western Regions for her, do anything for her.
Yet someone dared to sacrifice her!
Even here in the Western Regions, he would show no mercy.
His roar, amplified by Sonic Roar, thundered like lightning—Mo Fen flinched violently.
“Y-you…”
Mo Fen stammered, unable to form a coherent sentence.
Lu Fang grinned wildly, pointing at Mo Fen. “Fourth Sister, break his dog legs!”
“You dare!”
Mo Fen scrambled to his feet in panic.
But it was too late!
Without any visible motion from Zhou Yiyi, Mo Fen’s legs went limp—he collapsed to the ground, screaming in pain, desperately trying to rise, crawling a few inches before realizing he could not stand.
Lu Fang smiled faintly. “Fourth Sister, well done. Not quite as dramatic as I imagined, but satisfying enough.”
Zhou Yiyi frowned, snapped her fingers, and said: “Unsatisfied? Is this enough?”
BOOM!
Mo Fen’s legs exploded into shattered fragments of flesh and bone; he clutched his mangled wounds, babbling in Western Regions tongue like popping beans.
From his gestures, he was ordering his men to protect him.
But under Zhou Yiyi’s overwhelming aura, none dared take a single step forward.
Seeing Lu Fang still intent on continuing, Zha Xi Mo’s eyelid twitched; he hurried forward to stop him. “Take your people and leave at once!”
Hearing this, Mo Fen’s men finally dared approach, attempting to lift him.
Lu Fang sneered. “Don’t move him.”
Though he was only a Seventh-Rank Confucian, his command froze Mo Fen’s men instantly—they dropped Mo Fen back onto the ground.
Mo Fen cried out in pain, glared furiously at his men, dared not vent his rage on Lu Fang or Zhou Yiyi, and turned to Zha Xi Mo.
“What are you planning? If I die here, I swear the Lion Clan will be exterminated!”
Zha Xi Mo replied coldly: “You’re in this state and still talk big? If I were to honor past ties, I’d kill you right here.”
He paused, then turned to Lu Fang. “Who are you?”
Shā Nài Lady, still stunned, quickly explained: “He is from the Great Zhou, and the Young Master of the Lu family, who sheltered Ling’er.”
Zha Xi Mo smiled, bowed to Lu Fang. “I see. The Great Zhou truly harbors dragons and tigers. But please, out of respect for the Lion Clan, spare Mo Fen’s life.”
Shā Nài Lady leaned close to Lu Fang’s ear and whispered: “The Flame Clan holds great power in the Buddhist Kingdom. Breaking his legs is already a grave offense—don’t kill him.”
Lu Fang nodded to Shā Nài Lady, then bowed back to Zha Xi Mo.
“I’ll spare his life—but he must hand over all written records on the Demon Array. Otherwise, no one can take him away.”
Zha Xi Mo instantly understood. “Mo Fen! What are you waiting for? Give him everything you’ve collected on the Demon Array!”
Mo Fen did not hesitate—he pulled from his storage space a jet-black jade slip and several scattered goat-skin scrolls, pleading:
“These are all the records on the Demon Array. I was blind to your greatness—please spare me! If I wait any longer, I’ll die here.”
Lu Fang picked up the jade slip and scrolls, glanced at them, and frowned—he could not read a single character. The script was strange: neither Great Zhou’s official script nor Western Regions’ language.
Completely incomprehensible!
Zhou Yiyi glanced once, then said: “I can read this ancient Demon Language.”
Lu Fang hesitated. “If you study them, can you understand the Demon Array?”
