Chapter 74: The Latecomers

~7 min read 1,302 words

Henry didn't care about the little fat boy jumping up and down by the poolside; he left the pool via the iron ladder on the other side.

Then he took off his soaking wet suit jacket, hung it over one shoulder with one hand, loosened his tie with the other, and strode casually toward the villa gate.

The little fat boy ran over to block him, saying, "F***, go pick up my mobile phone for me, or do you think I'll fire you?"

"Oh, Mr., no need to bother. I quit. You can save the effort of firing me and just get a new mobile phone."

To be honest, judging by the market price of electronic products Henry knew, trading this entire suit for a phone was a profit!

So Henry didn't intend to stay and argue; he simply shoved the little fat boy aside. This was with restrained force; otherwise, if he had pushed with full strength, who knows, this fat boy might have stuck to the wall and turned into a meat patty.

Interestingly, the reception staff or bodyguards arranged by the event company, seeing what happened here, acted as if they saw nothing.

Actually, this was also the event company's instruction. If a conflict occurs, don't hurt anyone, just leave immediately; everything can be handled afterward. But if someone gets hit, the nature changes. If those bodyguards don't step in, it counts as negligence.

From this, one knows the event company also understands what kind of character these rich people are. So there must be a standard handling procedure already. Otherwise, playing out the "domineering CEO versus special forces bodyguard" showdown every day, wouldn't they get bored?

Just as Henry walked to the villa's front courtyard, the open gate admitted a flashy red Ferrari sports car, which happened to block Henry's path.

The man who got out of the sports car was none other than one of Henry's targets for this trip, Tony Stark. He casually tossed a set of keys over, saying, "Park my car. Oh, it's you."

Recognized Henry, without a word, threw the keys back, then said, "Which eye of yours saw me as a valet? Do you want to change a set of seat cushions?"

"Oh, you look like a pile of sh*t."

Even without wringing them, the clothes on Henry's body were dripping water. So Tony Stark's feeling wasn't wrong at all.

"So don't think about ordering this pile of sh*t to smear onto your leather seats. Unless you really want to change them, then I'd be happy to help you make up your mind."

Having said that, Henry had no intention of apologizing to the finally appeared Tony Stark or anything like that.

The people inside were either rich or noble; he had offended them too. It was probably just fate. Whether or not one Young Master Stark was missing seemed irrelevant now.

If Hollywood truly becomes unworkable, if this place won't keep me, another place will. Can a Kryptonian really be killed by needing to pee?

So Henry was about to bypass that flashy Ferrari and leave this f***ing villa.

But this departure attempt was equally unsuccessful! The closing gate was rammed open by a car, stopping in a position that jammed the Ferrari's movement.

Two gunmen got out of this car that rushed in, one of whom even pressed the gun in his hand against Henry's head.

"No one is allowed to leave."

The other person naturally went to control Tony Stark.

Henry didn't intend to play the hero at all. Even though his steel body should be able to stop bullets, to be honest, it hasn't been rigorously tested yet. So Henry didn't want to conduct experiments at such a time; he simply obediently raised both hands and surrendered.

"Speak! Where is Josh Hilton?" the gunman controlling Henry asked.

"Who is Josh Hilton?" Henry asked innocently.

Actually, the guest invitation list he had seen did indeed contain this name. But the list didn't come with photos; Henry had no way to connect the names he had seen with people he didn't know.

By the way, recalling the list also made Henry notice that there was only one person named 'Jia Siding' on the list—Jia Siding Hammer.

... Was it that 'Jia Siding Hammer' from his memory? The owner of Hammer Industries who appeared as a villain in the Iron Man movie series.

But this guy didn't look like the actor from his memory—Sam Rockwell, and certainly not the old, sixty or seventy-year-old appearance from the comics.

So, trying to recognize people by their faces really doesn't work. While Henry felt a little disappointed, he glanced at Tony Stark again, hoping to find a trace of Robert Downey Jr. on him.

Just looking caused no trouble; one look and he was startled!

This Young Master didn't care at all about the threat of the firearms; one could also say the person holding the gun and approaching him was too careless, shortening the distance between the two to within arm's reach.

Tony Stark made a block, moving the gun's threat away. With another forceful flick of his hand, he made the opponent's weapon leave his hand and fall to the ground.

Seeing this, the gunman watching Henry moved the gun's aim, preparing to shoot the person who dared to resist.

This left Henry with no choice but to act. Besides not being able to let Tony Stark get shot, he couldn't expect these two, after subduing the resisting person, to be kind enough to spare the other one, even though Henry had clearly indicated surrender.

It was just a matter of one bullet; these two assassins might not be experienced, but regarding the matter of shooting to kill, they had very little psychological burden.

They say outside seven steps, the gun is fast; within seven steps, the gun is fast and accurate!

But at face-to-face distance, anyone who dares to move the gun's aim away shouldn't discuss speed or accuracy. Go check their brains first.

So Henry, with sharp eyes and quick hands, grabbed the gun body, controlling the direction of the muzzle. Then, with a punch of appropriate force, he swept across the opponent's chin, directly knocking the person's eyes rolling back and fainting.

The fainted gunman fell to the ground and didn't get up; his weapon naturally fell into Henry's hands. Meanwhile, Tony Stark was fighting his opponent; the two's fist-to-flesh passionate performance made onlookers extremely awkward...

Why can people get excited watching WWE's performance-style wrestling? Precisely because it has a performative nature, so both the attacking and defending sides fight in a good-looking way.

But two passersby exchanging clumsy wild punches back and forth makes onlookers feel only awkwardness, with no other emotions.

However, it was still visible that Tony Stark had a boxing foundation. But after the opponent took a few old-fashioned punches, he abandoned the boxing style and, enduring the punches, tried to grab Tony.

Without heavyweight punches or the ability to knock the opponent down with one hit, Tony Stark could only engage in a stubborn, clinging fight with his opponent.

But Tony Stark's genius brain meant he wasn't ignorant of situations outside his opponent; of course, he noticed that Henry had cleanly and efficiently dealt with his own opponent and even obtained a gun.

"F***, what are you staring at on the side! Shoot him!" Tony shouted.

This shout failed to scare his opponent. This big guy, from who knows where, was like someone obsessed with a single idea, only wanting to quickly control the young man in front of him.

Henry didn't hear Tony Stark shouting to shoot, so he actually fired. He pretended to aim, faking that he couldn't aim at the unknown assassin among the two moving and shifting figures.
