Chapter 75: Large-Scale Attack
Moving the gun barrel aside, Henry said, "Do you really want me to shoot? I'm not sure who I'd hit?"
His selfish motive was just to make Tony Stark suffer a bit more; after all, neither of these two's fists could kill a person.
"Fuck!" "Ah~!" The first was Tony's curse, the second the assassin's roar.
But with only these two opponents, and one of them already dealt with by Henry, the onlookers might watch until the end of time. If that roguish little face of Tony Stark took a punch, Henry might even raise his hand and cheer.
However, the Kryptonian, who had been so angered by that chubby kid's provocation that he ignored the changing surroundings, had his various super-senses come back online.
Henry noticed many people running toward the villa district in a pincer formation. The closest ones were already near the wall, preparing to climb over.
Moreover, judging from the simulated movement postures derived from changes in air flow, many were already holding long guns or short guns.
These people were not gossip tabloid paparazzi, offering only the possibility of social death. The guns in their hands, Henry did not believe could only fire BB pellets or paintballs.
Even the main gate behind them had two cars speeding toward it. Henry did not want to gamble on whether they were his own people or from the assassin camp.
So he fired a single shot, taking down Tony Stark's opponent. This man happened to maintain his diving posture; even though Tony threw a few punches at his face, he couldn't change direction, tackling Tony straight to the ground, which was exactly what he had wished for.
Unfortunately, Henry's shot to the chest put him straight into shock. He failed to truly capture Tony Stark.
This shot was near a small artery in the lung, which would cause massive bleeding. With timely treatment, there was a chance of survival. But left untreated, he would only die from blood loss.
This was a spot carefully chosen by Henry, who had read quite a few medical books.
In short, the unconscious assassin, like a sack of eighty or ninety kilograms of potatoes, pressed down on Tony Stark. Pressing the Young Master so hard that he let out a muffled groan and struggled to squeeze out a single word from his mouth: "Fuck."
Henry circled to the other side of the car just as Tony pushed the person pressing on him away.
Seeing that blood-stained young face, Henry asked, "That shot didn't hit you just now, did it?"
"You damn bastard, I'd rather you shot me dead than let me get crushed by this fat pig," Tony Stark said angrily.
Just as he finally broke free, got up, and was about to continue cursing Henry, two more cars burst through the main gate! The roar of the engines told everyone present that this was hardly the right time for flirting.
Henry didn't care what kind of person Tony Stark was; he grabbed the back of his neck and ran straight into the villa. Since the route was just right, Tony conveniently snatched up the pistol he had knocked away.
The reason for not running toward the pool was to avoid alerting others. Because shouting loudly in an open area was simply the best target.
Henry did not want to test under everyone's gaze whether his steel body was truly bulletproof or fake. So he avoided the pool and went straight inside.
Just as they hid behind the marble cabinet, gunshots rang out from all directions. Even if Tony Stark was reckless, he hadn't thought of charging out with just a small pistol to fight them.
Tony Stark lowered his voice and said, "I remember such banquets should have security on site. Shouldn't they step in to resolve things?"
Henry mocked, "The banquet company doesn't allow us to bring any firearms. Otherwise, do you think it would be a good thing to let that group of high on drugs rich Young Masters get their hands on weapons?"
"Their self-control is worse than a nigger's. If they just killed someone irrelevant, that would be one thing. But whether they send bullets into their own heads or into other guests' bodies, the banquet company's boss can prepare to go overseas for a long vacation."
"You say that, and I even want to get a Claymore mine to play with, plus a timer. See if they'll voluntarily play a real heart-stopping game; this seems like a good social experiment," Tony said.
"With the courage of that group of Young Masters, I think this would become a hangover cure. Even the most drunk would sober up instantly. Really, don't overestimate them; after all, some people are crazy even when sober."
Henry looked at Tony Stark with a thoughtful expression, making him feel extremely uncomfortable. The first one to rashly rise up in resistance just now, with a gun pressed to his forehead, was no one else but him.
Looking back now, Tony didn't know what his hot-headed action was actually for.
As if to deflect his own awkwardness, he reached out to the side and said, "Tony Stark."
This counted as his first self-introduction.
Henry was surprised. Although it was not good to leave this future Iron Man's hand hanging in the air, whether or not to get involved with this troublemaker still made him hesitate.
In the end, Henry still shook his hand, saying, "Henry... Henry Brown."
The handshake between the two held no emotion of thunder striking earth, nor any touch of intertwined fate. It was just a touch and that was it; mainly because Tony was not used to other people's body heat.
Skillfully half-drawing from the holster, Tony confirmed the bullets in the chamber and said, "Deal with the assassins in front first?"
"Hmm... shouldn't we call the police first?" Henry asked. In his heart, he also sighed, how could Iron Man at this age be so reckless? You haven't even put on the suit yet.
But thinking about it, it was normal. A child who felt he never received fatherly love and was eager to show off would do anything without surprising anyone, even committing crimes.
However, Tony Stark never thought he was being plotted against in the mind of a Kryptonian who had traveled through time. He pulled a device resembling a transmitter from his pocket, with a flashing red light on it to attract attention.
He said, "I've already sent an alarm. Security company personnel will arrive within twenty minutes to clean up the aftermath. This is much faster than calling 911 and arguing with an old lady at the reporting center for ages."
"Then we should focus on waiting for rescue. Don't you think the disparity in numbers between enemy and us is too great, and there are too many people who could be taken hostage? Even if you don't care about those people's lives and just shoot anyone you see, how many bullets do you have?"
No sooner had Henry finished speaking than a group burst into the villa's front hall, where besides the two of them hiding, there had been no one else. As soon as they rushed in, without a word, they swept the area with rifles.
This barrage, while not piercing the marble cabinet serving as cover, did cause various stones and powder to spray all over the front hall.
Both Tony and Henry curled up as much as possible to reduce their target area. Because if the marble cabinet was concentrated fire, it would be smashed and pierced. This thing only served to block the line of sight.
Tony Stark asked, "Are you going to sit and wait to die? Pussy!"
