Chapter 366. Who do You Like (Second Update)
Ye Jiuliang was drinking when she choked, "Cough cough."
She gave Feng Yi a thumbs up, this question was brilliant.
In fact, she was quite curious about this question herself.
Jiang Yisheng’s smile at the corners of his lips stiffened slightly, as he absentmindedly sipped his juice.
"Not there," Ji Mingqian replied, clearly annoyed, without a second thought.
Before he had finished speaking, the lights of the sign lit up quickly, and an unexpected jolt of electricity shot into his palm.
Ji Mingqian swiftly drew back his hand as if he had been burned.
A drop of sweat rolled down his forehead, "Damn, what’s this contraption."
Ye Jiuliang couldn’t close her mouth from laughing, leaning all over Li Mochan.
"Aqian, children who lie should be punished," she teased.
"Go away." His right hand still tingling, Ji Mingqian retorted irritably.
"Mingqian, I didn’t expect you to be such an innocent," Feng Yi teased, his face unable to hide his amusement.
Ji Mingqian’s handsome face darkened, and he blamed the Lie Detector. "I’ve already said this thing can’t be trusted; it’s not accurate at all."
"Is that so?" Ye Jiuliang said with an amused smile.
Others might not understand him, but how could she not? Ever since they were kids, Ji Mingqian’s left eyebrow would always arch up whenever he lied.
Dodging her gaze, Ji Mingqian insisted, "Anyway, I told the truth, believe it or not."
"Alright, let’s play another round." Ye Jiuliang grabbed the bottle, "Mohan, you spin it."
Li Mochan’s fingertips touched the bottle, his mysterious dark eyes sweeping over them before he casually spun it.
Having skipped dinner and concentrating on the late-night snacks, Jiang Yisheng kept an eye on the spinning bottle from the corner of his eye.
"It’s not me again, is it?" Ye Jiuliang watched the trembling bottle neck and muttered in disbelief.
The bottle wobbled, seeming to teeter between Ye Jiuliang and Jiang Yisheng, as if it was deliberately teasing them.
After a moment, the bottle neck finally stopped moving.
Jiang Yisheng paused with his chopsticks, as if two wide noodles fell in his heart.
Could he pretend not to see?
"Asheng, do you have someone you like?" Ye Jiuliang asked with a sly smile.
"..."
He knew it was a setup.
Jiang Yisheng put down his chopsticks and placed his hand on the Lie Detector; Feng Yi helpfully pressed the start button for him.
With a detached tone, he calmly replied, "No."
As he finished speaking, lights of several colors on the sign flashed quickly.
"Zap!" Jiang Yisheng abruptly pulled his hand back, his fingertips tingling slightly.
"Asheng, do you have someone you like?" Feng Yi exclaimed, giving him a strange look.
"When did this happen, why didn’t you tell me."
Ye Jiuliang propped up her chin, staring at him with interest.
"Asheng, who have you fallen for?"
Jiang Yisheng felt a headache coming on and replied helplessly, "Truly, there’s no one."
"Then try again," Feng Yi pulled his hand back onto the Lie Detector.
"Hey, that’s not fair, I just tried it once already." Jiang Yisheng struggled, trying to pull his hand back.
"When have you ever seen a woman by my side?"
Thinking it over, Feng Yi realized that was true; he had never seen a woman hanging around Yisheng.
"Then why did the Lie Detector go off?"
Jiang Yisheng pursed his lips, "How should I know, why take such a toy seriously?"
"Whether it can be taken seriously can be tested right away," Ye Jiuliang’s eyes glinted as she reached over to take Feng Yi’s hand and placed it on the Lie Detector.
Then, she pressed the start button—it all happened in one fluid movement.
"Feng Yi, do you have someone you like?"
"No." Feng Yi paused, then quickly replied without thinking.
With a beep, there was no reaction, passed, no lies told.
