Chapter 428, Are you saying Ye Jiuliang is a girl? (Second update)
Jiang Yisheng watched as people continually squeezed past him, a trace of helplessness flickering in his eyes.
It’s just a game, does it need to be this exciting?
He straightened up slightly, and the next second, someone pushed him again, causing his forehead to knock into Ji Mingqian’s jaw, with a muffled sound faintly audible.
Ji Mingqian, distracted, glanced at the person forced into his arms and with a peripheral view of the crowded side, his hand maneuvering the game screen sped up.
Soon after, the game console emitted the sound of "Game over!"
"Damn, turned it around," Allen caught the game console tossed by Ji Mingqian, admiration barely concealed in his shocked tone.
"Stop crowding around here, let’s open the wine and have a taste," Ji Mingqian waved his hand, prompting the crowd to disperse.
Allen and the others dispersed, and Jiang Yisheng felt like he had been reborn, the air around him suddenly becoming fresh.
Finally, no more being jostled around.
"Did you hit your forehead?" Ji Mingqian rolled up his sleeves and, catching sight of Jiang Yisheng’s slightly reddened forehead, blurted out with concern.
Jiang Yisheng said, "It’s nothing."
"Mingqian, Jiang, here." Allen brought over two glasses of red wine and handed them to the two men.
Ji Mingqian reached for a glass and declined on behalf of Jiang Yisheng, "He doesn’t drink."
Allen gave an "Oh," and started drinking from the other glass himself.
Jiang Yisheng took a sip of his own juice bottle, noticing that the red wine in Ji Mingqian’s glass was quickly running low, he couldn’t help saying, "Drink less."
Ji Mingqian curved his lips into a smile, praising himself while playfully teasing the other, "Don’t worry, I can hold my liquor well, no need to carry me back."
Jiang Yisheng didn’t reply, knowing the person who would end up with a stomach ache wouldn’t be him.

The winter break at Beisen Academy wasn’t very long, and on the first day of the new term, Master Jiu already didn’t want to get out of bed.
Li Mochan returned from his morning run, and seeing the still figure under the covers, a doting smile appeared on his thin lips.
He took off his jacket, threw it on the sofa, and walked over with light steps.
With a long reach, he pulled the sleeping woman from under the covers.
The dark robe enveloped her, the oversized garment covering even her ankles.
The sudden chill awoke the sleeping woman, and Ye Jiuliang looked at the "perpetrator" who disturbed her sweet dreams with groggy eyes.
Her voice was soft with a touch of dissatisfaction, "Li Mochan, who allowed you to disturb my sleep?"
Knowing her grouchy morning temperament, Li Mochan’s eyes softened with amusement, and he gently reminded her, "Little rascal, today is the first day of term at Beisen."
Had he not reminded her, Ye Jiuliang would have long since pushed the matter to the back of her mind.
She turned her head and buried it into his chest, still sleepy, her voice hoarse, "Can’t they delay the start of term by a few days?"
She should have known not to agree to the old master’s wish for her to attend Beisen, truly a self-inflicted nuisance.
Hearing her grumbling, Li Mochan laughed softly as he carried her toward the bathroom.
Since MK Group set up in the capital city, Li Mochan had not been to the office for a while, leaving a lot of paperwork piled up. After dropping Ye Jiuliang off at Beisen, he headed straight for the company.
The morning mist dispersed, sunlight flooded the academy, and the quiet of Beisen was finally broken. On the shaded pathways of the campus, there was a constant flow of people.
Coming out of the principal’s office, Mo Chen looked back at the man following close behind him and stopped, "Alei, stop following me. I know the way, and I’ll come back on my own after I register."
Alei, expressionless, replied, "Young master, the madam asked me to follow you."
"But my mother didn’t say you had to be with me all the time, right? She just wanted you to protect me. You’re not planning to follow me into class, are you?" Mo Chen argued.
Alei appeared hesitant, "This..."
"Don’t worry, I won’t get lost. You can go back first, having you always follow me is too conspicuous," Mo Chen said softly, coaxing in a gentle voice.
After hesitating, Alei said, "Young master, then give me a call if you need anything."
When he heard that Alei was willing to leave, Mo Chen’s face immediately brightened with a smile, and he nodded happily.
"Got it."
After sending Alei off, Mo Chen felt like a weight had been lifted.
He looked around, his clear eyes whirring as if he was hatching some kind of scheme.
Not sure whether his sister had arrived, it seemed he needed to find someone to ask.
Determined to find Ye Jiuliang first, Mo Chen sprinted down the school path.
Remembering Ye Jiuliang’s class, Mo Chen sped along the way, and when passing by the cafeteria, noticed it was crowded with people who seemed to be watching something exciting.
Mo Chen squeezed in, his silky blond hair now a tousled mess.
"What happened?" Mo Chen asked, pulling someone over.
With many foreigners at Beisen Academy, the man didn’t find Mo Chen strange, just slightly taken aback by his delicate baby face.
Mo Chen asked again, "Classmate, what happened inside?"
"Oh man, there was this new transfer student with a temper, looking down on people. Got into a conflict with the auntie at the counter over a box of Takoyaki. Words flew, and he pushed her, just as Ye Jiuliang happened to see it. Ended up getting a thorough beating and was just carried away by the school doctor," the man came back to his senses and explained succinctly.
Ye Jiuliang?
Could it be his sister?
Mo Chen’s eyes suddenly lit up, confirming, "The Ye Jiuliang you’re talking about, is it a girl?"
Upon hearing this, the man looked at him as if he were speechless, "Is there a second Ye Jiuliang in the entire Beisen Academy?"
What a joke.
"Thanks, haha." After thanking him, Mo Chen dashed into the cafeteria.
Reaching the second floor, Mo Chen immediately spotted the girl sitting by the window and excitedly ran over.
"Sister."
The young man pressed his hands on the table so hard that the juice on the table almost spilled out.
Ye Jiuliang’s eyelids flicked open, looking at the young man who had suddenly appeared, her eyes slightly lifted.
"Why are you here?"
Mo Chen made himself comfortable pulling out a chair to sit down, his eyes twinkling into crescent moons, "I’m attending school."
Ye Jiuliang’s eyes lost their astonishment, "You’re saying you’re studying here?"
Mo Chen nodded, "Yep, I came to report today."
Ye Jiuliang surveyed him skeptically, asking softly, "Why aren’t you studying in F Country?"
"Uh..." Mo Chen lowered his head, somewhat at a loss for words.
Ye Jiuliang asked with a cool voice, "Is there some sort of secret you can’t share?"
"No, no." Afraid she would misunderstand, Mo Chen quickly explained.
"Because you’re here, I came here to go to school."
His gaze was too pure and clean for Ye Jiuliang to detect any lies, "What does my being at school have to do with you? Why are you following me?"
"I really have no ulterior motives; I just want to stay close to Sister," Mo Chen said softly.
Looking at his forlorn expression, he was the spitting image of someone who had been wronged – anyone who didn’t know better would think she had bullied him.
Ye Jiuliang was speechless, grabbed her hat, put it on her head, and stood up to leave.
Having finally found her, Mo Chen wasn’t about to let her shake him off easily.
He stood up as well, keeping his distance but following behind her.
