Chapter 457. Master Jiu, Getting Impatient (Fourth Update)
Ye Jiuliang glanced at him, a hint of surprise in her gaze. Quite the quick thinker, aren’t you?
"Barely," she said.
"So you’re the Devil’s Hand Leng Yi?" Wei Nan pressed on.
In an instant, several pairs of eyes turned towards her.
Ye Jiuliang chuckled dryly, "Guess so."
Wei Nan and his two friends froze for a few seconds before their faces bloomed into smiles.
Their master had such a good eye for people; this deal was definitely a bargain.
The three looked at Ye Jiuliang with glee, while Li Mochan furrowed his brows, his voice cool and distant, "Do you three have any more business here?"
A chill surged up from the soles of their feet, climbing up their spines.
Wei Bei and his friends quickly shook their heads, showing a good sense of timing as they made themselves scarce.
"Master, we’ll take our leave first. You two have a good chat," they said hastily.
In the blink of an eye, the three of them were gone without a trace.
Ye Jiuliang laughed and collapsed onto him, "You scared them away."
Li Mochan looked down at her, his fingertips tracing the corner of her lips, his tone tinged with jealousy, "Don’t just smile at anyone."
Ye Jiuliang swatted his hand away, giving him a look that spoke volumes, "Are you saying I should walk around with a gloomy face instead?"
"That would be fine," he replied seriously.
Ye Jiuliang cursed playfully, "Fine, my ass."
"Well, your ’ass’ is me," Li Mochan raised an eyebrow.
Ye Jiuliang’s smile froze, feeling like she had dug her own grave, "Who says? Who’s your ’ass’?"
"You are my ’ass’," he said, then leaned down to seal her rosy lips with his own.
Ye Jiuliang’s eyes widened as a wolf whistle sounded from not far away.
"Wow..."
"Master Jiu is so tame."
"Master Jiu, fight back."
"Master Jiu, get fired up."
Laughter followed one wave after another.
Ye Jiuliang pushed against Li Mochan’s shoulders, struggling to push him away.
The two of them created some distance, and Ye Jiuliang escaped his presence, charging toward the group that laughed maniacally.
They dared to mock her; each and every one of them was asking for a beating.
The members of the base saw Ye Jiuliang approaching and their laughter froze on their faces. They scattered like birds startled by the twang of a bow.
The scene was like sheep encountering a big bad wolf.
"Master Jiu is coming, run for it!"
Falling into Master Jiu’s hands meant no good end.
They were still young and wanted to live.
Li Mochan watched the figure of the girl running in the distance, the depths of his eyes soft with warmth that could drown someone.
...
During dinner, the five of them finally gathered around the same table.
After several rounds of drinks, the atmosphere gradually warmed up.
Li Mochan’s phone suddenly rang. He took it out and saw it was a call from Jiang Yisheng.
He pressed answer and spoke softly, "Asheng."
On the other end, Jiang Yisheng glanced at the laughing people in the living room, "Cousin, grandma and the others have come to the capital. When are you guys coming back?"
"Tomorrow," Li Mochan put down his chopsticks.
Jiang Yisheng replied, "Alright, I’ll let them know."
The call was hurriedly cut off. Ye Jiuliang looked sidelong at Li Mochan, "What’s up?"
"Grandma and the others are in the capital," he said.
Ye Jiuliang nodded, her lips curling up, "Then you go back first tomorrow."
Li Mochan frowned, "You’re not coming back with me?"
"I still have some things to take care of here." Ye Jiuliang picked up some cooked mutton and bit into it, her lips turning slightly red from the heat.
"I’ll be back in a couple more days."
She needed to attend a few auctions to see if that Mysterious Iron was available.
If she didn’t return, all his plans would be for naught, "How many days until you’re back?" he asked.
After a moment’s thought, she said, "If it’s quick, then two days, three at the latest."
The weather forecast said it was going to snow in the capital in four days. As long as she could get back by then, all was well.
Li Mochan’s brows smoothed out, and he advised with concern, "Come back early."
If he didn’t see her on the third day, he would simply drag her off to get their marriage certificate.
Ye Jiuliang chewed on the meat and nodded, "Mhm."

Mo Garden.
"Asheng, what did Mohan say?" Right after Jiang Yisheng put down his phone, Grandma Jiang eagerly asked.
Jiang Yisheng peeled an orange, eating it, "My cousin is coming back tomorrow."
"Asheng, your cousin is getting married. When will you bring a girlfriend home for me to see?" Veya took the opportunity to start the motherly marriage-nagging mode.
Jiang Yisheng gnawed at his orange, his tone betraying his helplessness, "Mom, why are you starting on me all of a sudden?"
"That’s exactly my point, Mohan is only a few years older than you," Veya said.
Jiang Yisheng deflected, "I’m still young, it’s really not urgent."
"Young? If you have someone, start dating. I’m not asking you to get married right away," Veya pinched his cheek as she spoke.
"When I was your age, I was already dating your father."
Jiang Yisheng, "..."
Indeed, all women are creatures not to be offended.
Grandma Jiang joined in the gossip, "Mohan told me you went on a few days’ trip with friends. Who were they? Any girls?"
"Grandma, Mom, please spare me, I’m really still young," Jiang Yisheng leaned back, grabbing a pillow to cover his face.
Thinking she had guessed right, Grandma Jiang became even more excited.
"Where is the girl from? What’s her personality like? How old is she?"
Feeling like he was digging himself deeper, Jiang Yisheng clarified, "Grandma, it wasn’t a girl, it was a guy. A bunch of us were hanging out together."
Hearing this, Grandma Jiang deflated again.
Oh, it was a false alarm.
Jiang Yisheng pressed on, "Grandma, my cousin is getting married; you’ll have a great-grandchild to hold soon. I am still young, really not in a rush."
Grandma Jiang glared at him, "I like holding a grandchild-in-law’s hand. Hurry up, or I’ll arrange a blind date for you."
