Chapter 464, Those are all her favorites (third update)
Upon hearing this, the elder Mrs. Jiang was stunned.
What on earth was "hot and sour noodles"?
"What is hot and sour noodles?" Veya looked towards Jiang Hai and asked in confusion.
Jiang Hai shook his head.
Nobody in Wei Bei’s group knew what "hot and sour noodles" were either.
"I know," Jiang Yisheng suddenly spoke up. "You all go ahead and eat, I’ll make a phone call to order the hot and sour noodles."
Veya asked, "Asheng, have you eaten it before?"
"I tried it once with a friend," Jiang Yisheng mentioned casually.
He had once tried it when Ji Mingqian took him out.
To him, the taste was simply unbearable. He never expected his cousin to actually like the flavor of hot and sour noodles,
but, curiously, wasn’t his cousin unable to eat spicy food?
"Mom, let’s go eat first. We can discuss what to do after dinner," Jiang Hai said, helping her up with a gentle voice.
The elder Mrs. Jiang nodded and sighed deeply.
One after another, everyone gradually headed to the dining room, leaving only Wei Nan and Jiang Yisheng in the living room.
After ordering the takeout, Jiang Yisheng put down his phone and looked towards Li Mochan, who sat with lowered brows, his emotions unreadable.
He poured a glass of water and offered it to him, "Cousin, would you like some water?"
Li Mochan glanced at the tepid water placed before him, "No."
Jiang Yisheng chuckled dryly, rarely earning conversation, "Then what would you like to drink?"
Li Mochan furrowed his brows, a mist clouding over his eyes.
After a long pause, his crimson lips moved slightly, his voice hoarse.
"Juice."
What?
Jiang Yisheng couldn’t help but doubt if there was a problem with his ears.
First hot and sour noodles, now juice.
These things were exactly what he used to detest the most.
Wei Nan understood and sidled closer to Jiang Yisheng, lowering his voice, "These are Madam’s favorite foods."
Upon hearing this, enlightenment dawned on Jiang Yisheng, a mix of emotions swirling within him.
Even with amnesia, even forgetful of Jiuliang, everything about her was still etched into his mind.
"I’ll go get it," Jiang Yisheng said, standing up and heading to the kitchen.
Wei Nan glanced at his wristwatch and then out the window, into the dark night that matched their moods.
Racing back from Country Y, Madam was estimated to arrive here in another hour.
Sigh...
The lake’s surface carried the reflection of lights; the cold wind was desolate.
A plane slowly descended into the courtyard of Mo Garden, kicking up dust.
The cabin door opened, and a figure rushed out.
The slender silhouette was unmistakably female.
"Ajiu, don’t run so fast," Gu Xinuo followed behind her, her crisp voice dissolving into the night air.
The lights in the living room were bright, and it was past midnight—unusually, no one had gone to bed.
Hearing the noise outside, everyone looked simultaneously towards the door.
In the quiet of the night, the hurried figure of the woman burst in quickly.
Seeing who it was, people’s emotions were mixed with joy and worry.
"Xiaojiu." Seeing Ye Jiuliang, the elder Mrs. Jiang felt like she had seen a lifesaver.
Ye Jiuliang stopped in her tracks, her long hair slightly disheveled.
Her anxious eyes swept over the people in the living room, searching for that one person.
"Where is he?"
"Xiaojiu, Ahan is in the dining room," Veya said, knowing she was in a hurry to find Li Mochan.
With that, a lingering shadow flashed past them.
"Cousin, you should stop eating, your face is all red," Jiang Yisheng said, watching the person opposite him coughing incessantly, advising him helplessly.
He had barely taken a couple of bites and was already coughing like this. If he finished the meal, his throat might just give out.
Stubbornly wanting to eat despite not being able to handle spicy food.
"Cough, cough."
Li Mochan disregarded the caution, the coughing growing worse, his neck and ears flushing with crimson.
