Chapter 465, Have you really forgotten about me (Fourth update)
"Cousin, why don’t we stop eating this and I’ll order something else for you?"
Jiang Yisheng leaned in, reaching to take away the chopsticks in his hand.
Before touching them, a cold glare swept over.
"Go away."
Jiang Yisheng withdrew his hand sheepishly and sat back down in his chair.
He was only trying to help; was there any need for him to be so harsh?
"Madam." Wei Nan, seated directly opposite the door, saw the person who came storming in and breathed a sigh of relief.
Jiang Yisheng turned and saw Ye Jiuliang finally return, quickly standing up.
Ye Jiuliang paused in her steps, looking at the man coughing continuously, feeling that something was off but unable to put her finger on it.
She walked towards him slowly. Li Mochan grabbed the juice next to him and took a sip, soothing the spicy sourness.
Feeling the approach of a foreign presence, Li Mochan turned his gaze to the person next to him.
Their eyes met.
The atmosphere became so quiet it was eerie.
"Who are you?" His voice was low and magnetic, devoid of the usual doting tone, filled only with indifference and alienation.
Those brief words, like a bolt from the blue, struck her on the head.
Ye Jiuliang’s eyes narrowed slightly as she tried to find a trace of jest in his eyes.
"Jiuliang, your cousin, he... he’s lost his memory," Jiang Yisheng said hesitantly.
"He doesn’t remember any of us, and he’s forgotten everything."
His words hit Ye Jiuliang like a hammer, leaving her mind blank.
Gu Xinuo stood at the door, hearing Jiang Yisheng’s words, her face showed shock.
Li Mochan lost his memory?
What about Ajiu...
Ye Jiuliang’s eyes intensified as she looked at Li Mochan, her gaze finally settling on his excessively delicate features.
Her voice came out a bit hoarse, "Li Mochan, who am I?"
Interrupted during his meal, and being watched by so many people, Li Mochan furrowed his brow, vaguely annoyed.
The tension between the two hung in the air.
Jiang Yisheng wanted to say something but Wei Nan held him back.
He looked back at him, and Wei Nan shook his head at him.
At this point, they could only hope that Ye Jiuliang could awaken their master’s memory.
"Go away."
That tone, colder and harder than he had ever used, pushed Ye Jiuliang into an abyss.
Ye Jiuliang felt a sourness in her nose and leaned forward, one hand on the back of the chair.
Looking him eye to eye, she said, "Li Mochan, this joke isn’t funny. Did you really forget me, hmm?"
The woman’s reddening eyes fell into his gaze, causing Li Mochan’s eyebrows to unconsciously furrow.
He leaned back, widening the distance between them.
"Stay away from me."
His icy tone was like a dagger, stabbing fiercely into Ye Jiuliang’s heart, the blood pouring.
Ye Jiuliang stood frozen in place, her face pale, feeling as if her throat was stuffed with bitterness, rendering her voiceless.
He told her to stay away from him?
Her Li Mochan had never spoken to her in that tone, nor had he ever told her to stay away from him.
Despite having anticipated such a scene, witnessing it still made everyone’s heart ache.
The Li Mochan of the past couldn’t bear to be apart from Ye Jiuliang even for a moment, but now he was telling her to stay away.
Ye Jiuliang held back the tears welling up in her eyes and stood up straight, complying with his request.
When her gaze inadvertently swept over the bowl of hot and sour noodles and the juice on the table, her heavily wounded heart began to beat once more.
She reached out for the bowl of hot and sour noodles. Before she could touch it, a large hand pulled the bowl away.
A hand as cold as porcelain, unmistakably his.
His usual domineering tone announced, "Mine."
Ye Jiuliang looked down at him, her voice hoarse as she asked, "Aren’t you unable to eat spicy foods?"
Moreover, he didn’t even like hot and sour noodles. She would always have to force a bite on him, enjoying the playfulness of teasing him.
