Chapter 479, Worried about Me? (First Update)
"Choo-choo—" Ye Jiuliang turned her head, sneezing uncontrollably.
"You must have caught a cold."
Hearing this, Li Mochan’s brow furrowed slightly, "Should I have Wei Nan come over and prescribe some cold medicine for you?"
Ye Jiuliang rubbed her nose, her nasal voice quite heavy, "No need, it’s just a minor cold. I’ll find some medicine to take in a bit."
Li Mochan eyed her with suspicion, "Are you sure you don’t need it?"
Ye Jiuliang’s dark eyes shifted, and suddenly she leaned into his embrace, a teasing smile curving her red lips.
"Worried about me, huh?"
Her smile, with eyes curved into crescents, carried a hint of rascality, causing Li Mochan to unconsciously press his lips together.
Immediately after, a deep voice overflowed from his throat, "Since you’re awake, go wash up."
"Li Mochan, why are your ears red again?" Ye Jiuliang lifted her head and keenly noticed the man’s flushed ears, her smile growing more pronounced.
With that, she propped herself up and her cool little hand covered his ear, her fingertips teasingly scratching.
Li Mochan kept a stern face, his calm and cool gaze reflecting her image, "Stop it."
Despite his words, he still let that cool little hand rest on his ear.
"Is this considered being naughty?" Ye Jiuliang flashed a cunning smile, her small hand sliding down to his neck, and she leaned in to peck him on the corner of his lips, "Then is this considered hooliganism?"
"..."
Li Mochan’s back stiffened, his gaze darkening as he stared at her.
After a moment, he forced out a sentence, "Have you always been like this?"
"Like what?" Ye Jiuliang smiled enticingly.
The sexy Adam’s apple moved, and Li Mochan grabbed her wandering hand, his voice deep and intoxicating, "Go wash up."
Looking at his shy expression while he maintained a stern face, Ye Jiuliang snuggled into his embrace, "Together?"
"You have a cold," Li Mochan reminded her softly.
Ye Jiuliang choked, her smile freezing, "..."
What’s with the vague feeling of being disliked?
Pouting, she could almost hang an oil bottle from her lips, she uttered, "Li Mochan, what do you mean by that?"
Li Mochan’s lips curved up almost imperceptibly, changing the subject, "If you don’t go down for breakfast now, you’ll probably have to wait for lunch."
Ye Jiuliang used her elbow to bump his arm away, jumped off the bed, and barefooted, walked towards the bathroom with a trace of sulking in her steps.
Her little effort was both negligible and teasing, prompting Li Mochan to chuckle in spite of himself.
Ye Jiuliang quickly finished washing up and came out, seeing the already neatly dressed man, she huffed lightly.
Passing by him, she ignored him without a sideways glance, opened the wardrobe, and casually took out a set of clothes.
"Little girl, are you angry?" Li Mochan saw the clothes she tossed onto the bed and smiled faintly.
Ye Jiuliang glanced at him and unhurriedly began to unbutton her clothes, "Are you planning to watch me change, Master Jiu?"
"..."
The girl really wasn’t easy to mess with.
Li Mochan turned and walked towards the bathroom.
Ye Jiuliang hooked her lips into a smile, speeding up the process of changing clothes.
By the time Li Mochan came out, there was no one left in the bedroom.
Li Mochan glanced at the clothes thrown on the bed, his eyes catching a post-it note stuck on the wardrobe, and he quickly walked over.
He peeled off the post-it, its penmanship bold and strong, hard to imagine it was written by a girl.
There was only one line on it — Master’s going to find the little brother. Save breakfast for yourself.
Li Mochan’s eyes grew cold, a surge of unexplained anger rushing to his head.
His long fingers crumpled the smooth post-it into a ball.
Little, brother?

"Jiuliang, is there some kind of emergency?" Jiang Yisheng asked as he handed Ye Jiuliang the car keys.
She was in such a hurry to leave that she didn’t even eat breakfast.
"No, just some things to take care of. If you need anything, call me or find me at VI Club," Ye Jiuliang said, swinging her long legs over and sitting on the motorcycle.
Jiang Yisheng nodded. "Does your cousin know you’re leaving?"
Ye Jiuliang hummed an affirmation, grabbing the helmet to put it on, "I left him a note—I’m off to play with ’little brother’."
Her family’s Li Mochan hated it when she mentioned ’little brother’; every time she brought it up in the past, it would infuriate him. Maybe mentioning it a couple more times might even spur his memory to return.
Jiang Yisheng was dumbfounded, "..."
What the hell.
"I’m off." Seeing his stupefied expression, Ye Jiuliang smiled, started the motorcycle, and sped away.
Gu Xinuo followed closely behind, "Yisheng, I’m leaving too."
The two arrogant engine roars intertwined, leaving tracks of varying depths on the snowy road.
Jiang Yisheng returned to the living room, coming face-to-face with Li Mochan coming downstairs.
Recalling what Ye Jiuliang had said and seeing Li Mochan, Jiang Yisheng felt a shiver of unease, "Cousin."
"Where did she go?" Blocking out the surrounding gazes, Li Mochan asked in a detached tone.
Jiang Yisheng’s eyes darted around, his voice low, "She went to find ’little brother’."
Upon those words, the temperature around them dropped sharply, cold as a deep pool.
Meeting his oppressive gaze, Jiang Yisheng’s courage faltered.
This had nothing to do with him; those weren’t his words, after all.
The elders of the Jiang family held back their laughter, their shoulders shaking uncontrollably.
The icy gaze shifting away, Li Mochan turned and walked toward the dining room.
Jiang Yisheng breathed a sigh of relief and ran back to sit beside Mrs. Jiang to drink tea.
...
Approaching noon, the news of Li Mochan’s amnesia suddenly spread through the capital, causing quite a stir.
Due to Mo Garden’s stringent defenses, the media didn’t dare to block the gate, but they had an unspoken agreement to focus on Ye Jiuliang instead.
Li Mochan’s amnesia was big news, with nearly all of the capital’s media reporters deploying.
News from an unknown source that Ye Jiuliang was at VI Club leaked out.
For the first time, VI Club was packed during the daytime, with journalists staked out all around the entrance.
"Master Jiu, do you want to send these people away?" Xue Wu asked, looking toward the person standing by the window with a grave expression.
Ye Jiuliang released the curtains, withdrawing her indifferent gaze.
"No rush."
The only people who knew about Mohan’s amnesia were their own family, so the leak must have come from Qian Mian’s side.
Not far away, Gu Xinuo sat in front of a computer, her eyes rapidly scanning the reports on the screen, her expression gradually darkening.
She slammed her hand on the table in anger, "These reporters really have nothing better to do than to loaf around full and idle."
"Heh-heh."
Ye Jiuliang chuckled softly, "What are you angry about?"
"You can still laugh? Do you have any idea what’s being said online?" Gu Xinuo closed the laptop, stood up, and walked over to her.
Ye Jiuliang raised an eyebrow, "Let’s hear it."
"People outside are saying that Ye Jiuliang has lost her backing, that she’s been abandoned by Li Mochan, and they even say that your marriage is off," Gu Xinuo said, growing more incensed as she spoke, her voice becoming agitated.
Ye Jiuliang poured a glass of water and handed it to her, "Let them talk. It’s not like I’m missing any flesh off my back."
Gu Xinuo took the glass, "Look downstairs, it’s jam-packed like a marketplace. These people don’t know when to stop delighting in others’ misfortune; they’re really meddlesome."
