Chapter 1005: Earth-shaking

"Detachment Captain Gu, we found a gray van. It looks like it just ran through a rotten road. It has a local license plate, but it doesn't quite match the registration information. The side of the car doesn't fit; it shouldn't be the same model. It's suspected to be a fake plate." Two police officers hid behind the grass and made a call.

A gray van, a dirty car, and a fake plate—these three items all fit the characteristics of the crime vehicle. In the scope of Yuwan City, the probability of encountering such a car that hits all three characteristics should be extremely low, and it can basically be considered as the crime vehicle.

Detachment Captain Gu on the other end of the phone also reacted instantly and asked: "Where is the location? Are there any suspects nearby?"

"Didn't see any suspects. Little Zhang sent the location to you. It's very close to the Quanjie here, but it should be a homestay, the kind opened in a residential area. The car is also parked in the ground parking lot of the residential area, separated from Quanjie. Almost missed it." The slightly older police officer answered.

"I'll deal with these unlicensed homestays later." Detachment Captain Gu said and added: "Pay attention to safety and keep the call open."

"Yes."

"Reinforcements will arrive in 5 minutes at the fastest. The special police have already set off; it will take a quarter of an hour." Detachment Captain Gu on the other end of the phone arranged manpower as quickly as possible.

To maximize the search, he divided the personnel into units of two and allocated them by area. The advantage of doing this is that it can search an area thoroughly and meticulously, which best meets the needs of visiting and screening. The disadvantage is that the personnel are scattered, and it is easy to encounter danger when encountering heinous criminals.

However, the degree of ferocity of criminals today is much weaker than 20 years ago. Ordinary criminals, if not necessary, will not target the police.

Two police officers are easy to kill, but killing them directly lights up four stars, which is basically equivalent to suicide.

However, generalized analysis is just analysis. For the two police officers at the scene, tension is inevitable.

How many suspects there are this time is still uncertain, but normally, there should be at least two or more, and it is very likely that they are armed. In terms of the degree of threat, it should be said to be very high.

The two police officers hung up the phone and started checking their police equipment.

To be honest, they didn't bring much police equipment out because they were out visiting, expecting to find traces of the gray van, not to find the gray van. Even because they had to walk for more than eight hours every day, the police officers responsible for visiting would travel as lightly as possible.

The two of them added together brought a pair of handcuffs, a telescopic baton, and a strong light flashlight. The largest weights were distributed to the water bottle and the law enforcement recorder, both of which were one per person.

"Keep your distance, monitor mainly." The older criminal police officer looked around, took his partner to the corner of the wall, and added: "If they want to run, let them run. With this broken van, it's remarkable if they can run out of the city."

"What if they run away on foot?" The younger police officer still had the meaning of learning.

The older criminal police officer glanced at him: "You're quite good at asking questions. Running away on foot is a bit troublesome. If it really doesn't work, we'll have to follow. Enemy retreats, I advance; enemy advances, I retreat. Understand?"

"Pulling, I'm a top laner." The younger police officer was slightly proud.

"I don't understand what you're saying. However, be careful when the enemy retreats and I advance, to prevent the other party from carrying a gun. Some of these human traffickers are afraid of being surrounded, so they will carry that kind of homemade gun, which is still very dangerous."

"Understood, short-handed hits long-handed, pay attention to distance control, don't be consumed without injury." The younger police officer projected his experience into his work and suddenly felt confident.

"A gun, even if it's homemade, one hit might kill you." The older criminal police officer didn't dampen his partner's confidence at such a time and stopped after saying this. Speaking of which, he was only seven or eight years older than his partner, but when he was studying, the social atmosphere regarded games as floods and beasts, and after working, he didn't have the opportunity to play games. Now looking at the young people around him playing games, he actually had a feeling of being separated from the world.

Buzz...

The moment the phone vibrated, the older criminal police officer answered it: "Hello?"

"Old Mao and I have arrived." The colleague's voice came from the phone.

The older criminal police officer breathed a sigh of relief: "It's good that you've arrived. Just the two of you? Did you see the suspect vehicle? Why don't you go around to the back of this residential building and take a look. Don't let them run."

"Can do. You guys aren't in danger, right?"

"No." The older criminal police officer answered very decisively, not showing the tension from five minutes ago at all.

After all, as long as reinforcements arrive, it means that subsequent reinforcements will continue to appear. For this kind of situation where the number of suspects is unknown, the two of them are somewhat dangerous, but when carloads of reinforcements arrive, how much danger can there be?

It's like two people digging a grave in the middle of the night, the heart-pounding journey is doubled, but if 200 people dig a grave together, it belongs to overtime behavior. If they give less, the lung tension is doubled.

Police officers aren't born with big guts, and police academies or police teams don't require this, but with the arrival of reinforcements, the older criminal police officer's courage has grown stronger and stronger.

When the first two colleagues arrived, what he thought of was not letting the suspect escape on foot. After gathering another carload of police, everyone had already consciously dispersed to prevent the suspect from jumping over the wall in a hurry.

Less than a quarter of an hour later, when the first car of special police arrived, the older criminal police officer had already tidied up his clothes and decided to enter the residential area and go directly to find the homestay where the suspects were.

After calling the property management and the landlord separately and asking for the password of the password lock, a group of people rushed in fully equipped, but it was empty.

The leader at this time was Gu Jiaxiong, the detachment captain of the Third Detachment of the Yuwan Municipal Criminal Investigation Detachment. He looked at the scene with regret and gave a neat order: "Search. Pay attention to evidence, don't destroy traces. Jiang Shen will definitely come to see it later."

"A three-bedroom, one-living-room room, which shows that the number of suspects may not be small, and it is also possible to use this place to detain abducted children..."

"The collection scope of surveillance video must be expanded. Look for surveillance in the surrounding streets and shops. Look for surveillance in places where cars can be parked."

After releasing the conventional orders, Gu Jiaxiong picked up his phone, prepared to report, and reminded: "Protect the scene, don't move things around, wait for Jiang Shen's side."

Jiang Yuan woke up from a nap and received a call, discovering that the whole case had undergone earth-shaking changes.

Once unable to find a single piece of evidence, now there is a car and a room.

Once unable to find the suspect's appearance characteristics, now there is a stack of hard drives.

Once unable to find the suspect's traces, now there is a clear trajectory map.

Jiang Yuan called up the members of the Cold Case Special Team who came with him, waved his hand and said: "I said before to rest for a few days, but the clues came. Everyone hurry up and pack your things, we'll set off in 10 minutes."

Everyone who was really prepared to have a good rest let out inexplicable shouts and all rushed back to their rooms quickly. Even if men's luggage is simple, pooping always takes some time.

Jiang Yuan contacted by video all the way, arrived in Yuwan City, and went straight to the car dismantling factory of the traffic police.

There should also be evidence in the room, but compared to the vehicle, the room is easier to clean, and hair and other things are easier to sweep away.

Currently, the suspects are still at large. Most importantly, several abducted children are also missing. Naturally, he has to pick the evidence that is easiest to reach a conclusion to study.

"Thank you for your hard work." Jiang Yuan arrived at the dismantling factory and saw that Gu Jiaxiong, the detachment captain of the Third Detachment of the Yuwan Municipal Criminal Investigation Detachment, was already waiting there.

As the only winner in the six-city joint examination, the corner of Gu Jiaxiong's mouth was harder to suppress than an AK.

"It's a pity that we couldn't find the suspect vehicle earlier and let the suspects run away." Gu Jiaxiong said hypocritically. Others didn't even see the shadow of the car—literally—but he found the car. How should this be said?

Jiang Yuan was carrying EQ at this time, cooperated and said: "It's already very rare to be able to find the suspect vehicle. Now there are images of the suspects, and the case is more than half finished. Has the identity of the suspects been confirmed?"

"The suspects we currently discovered are three people, two of whom have had their identities confirmed, and both are underworld-related elements who were cracked down on a few years ago. The lead suspect has always been wearing a mask and hat, and even wears sunglasses when going out. Currently, his identity cannot be confirmed." Gu Jiaxiong said the answer quickly.

"It's already very good. Once this case is solved, the Yuwan Municipal Criminal Investigation Detachment will be the first merit." Jiang Yuan said this sentence with clangorous power.

Gu Jiaxiong wanted exactly this, happy to the point that the corners of his eyes flew up, wishing someone could record this sentence.

The police officers from the Yuwan Municipal Bureau who came with him also felt honored, and smiles couldn't help but appear on their faces. This visiting and screening, a criminal police officer from just one Third Detachment was definitely not enough. The manpower of the Criminal Investigation Detachment was never enough, and it had to be coordinated by the municipal bureau to send police stations and special police and other units to gather more personnel.

Although the number of police officers participating in the war in Yuwan City exceeded 200 every day, everyone still had to work overtime for two or three hours every day to complete the established screening tasks. The number of kilometers walked by each person every day exceeded ten kilometers. If everyone's total was added together, it would be a terrifying number.

In fact, the number of steps taken by police officers in the other five cities was not necessarily less, but there were no results, which meant no results. Several criminal police detachment captains didn't have the confidence to speak themselves.

Jiang Yuan said a few more words, started to put on a bag for himself, then climbed onto the car, and started the on-site investigation.

This fake-plated gray van, as the suspect's crime vehicle, walked through six cities in just over a month. The traces in the car were not few.

Jiang Yuan first collected a large batch of hair evidence, looked at it enough to do a batch of experiments, and let people send it out first. Then he started to deliberately collect fingerprint evidence.

DNA laboratories doing DNA are all batch operations. If it's not blood samples, it basically takes half a day to get results. By comparison, fingerprints come out much faster. The key is that Jiang Yuan can operate on the spot himself.

Soon, the fingerprints of 10 people accumulated in the PAD in Jiang Yuan's hand.

"In here, it's confirmed that 3 fingerprints belong to the victims. Among the other 7, two former criminals can be matched with the surveillance video, and the other 5... are also former criminals. Underworld-related criminal records." Jiang Yuan only scanned the main parts of the vehicle and scanned out so many former criminals, so he couldn't help but stop.

The smile on Gu Jiaxiong's face also retracted: "If these are all involved personnel, it means that the gang has at least 7 people?"

Jiang Yuan nodded, took out his phone, and said: "These people left the car here for more than a month, and I don't know what they are doing. We must find them." ===== CHAPTER 1006 =====
