Chapter 12: A Good Persona
Early in the morning, Gang Zitie quickly finished washing up after getting up, then ate breakfast and rushed off to school.
"You got up pretty early today, why are you in such a hurry?" his mother asked from the side, puzzled.
"Of course I want to get to school early to study." Gang Zitie replied without even turning his head.
That was just a lie to fob off his mother. Although Gang Zitie didn't hate going to school, he didn't particularly like it either, because not all teachers taught as vividly and interestingly as Mu Yue.
The real reason Gang Zitie was so eager to get to school was that he urgently wanted to know whether his good buddy Kamiizuki Izumo had taken the first step in his romantic pursuit.
He had given Kamiizuki Izumo the advice on Thursday, but on Friday Kamiizuki Izumo said he hadn't dared to go through with it and needed to mull it over a bit more.
Gang Zitie figured the weekend should be enough time to mull it over.
When Gang Zitie arrived at the classroom, there weren't many people yet, and Kamiizuki Izumo hadn't arrived either.
But Kamiizuki Izumo didn't keep him waiting long; after about seven or eight minutes, Gang Zitie saw him walk in, looking listless.
"Izumo, did you not sleep well last night?" Gang Zitie asked, puzzled.
Kamiizuki Izumo shook his head.
"Did you send the flowers over the weekend?" Gang Zitie asked eagerly.
"Ah, don't even mention it." Upon hearing Gang Zitie's words, Kamiizuki Izumo's expression became even more dejected.
"She looked at our family's flower garden not because she likes flowers, but because she's allergic to pollen and was worried about the pollen blowing over to her place."
Gang Zitie was silent for a moment after hearing this news, then asked, "So did you send the flowers or not?"
Kamiizuki Izumo didn't answer Gang Zitie's question, but his silence and his resentful expression silently answered it for him.
Gang Zitie patted Kamiizuki Izumo on the shoulder and comforted him:
"It's okay. I remember there's a girl who hangs out with Mei Hui who's pretty cute. How about we hang out and get to know her sometime?"
"Absolutely, Tie Ge." Kamiizuki Izumo instantly swept away his gloomy mood, his face beaming.
"Over the weekend I came up with another brilliant plan to help you deal with your cousin."
"That's great! Tell me, what's the brilliant plan?"
"Class is starting!"
Mu Yue's voice reached both of them, and they only then realized class had begun; they had been so engrossed in their conversation that they hadn't noticed the bell.
So the two quickly sat up straight and began to listen. Having missed Mu Yue's class for two days, they really missed it.
Mu Yue didn't disappoint them either. The class was relaxed and enjoyable, and before they knew it, a lot of knowledge had filled their minds.

【Reward Received: Water Release: Water Severing Wave】
Seeing that the reward was Water Severing Wave, Mu Yue's eyes lit up instantly. This ninjutsu was no simple thing.
It was a Water Release technique developed by the Second Hokage, which shot out an ultra-high-pressure straight water jet with astonishing power, capable of cutting even the roots of the Divine Tree.
Mu Yue was in a very good mood after getting such a reward, and then another good thing happened.
"Teacher Mu Yue, I remember you don't have any classes this afternoon, right? Could you substitute for me? I have a ninjutsu class with Class 4-2 this afternoon."
In the office, Ikegaya Isamu walked over to Mu Yue and asked if she could cover his class again.
"Substituting is no problem, Teacher Ikegaya. Are you feeling unwell?" Although she was delighted at the chance to earn another reward, she still had to maintain her persona, so Mu Yue asked with a look of concern.
"I'm fine physically. Thank you for your concern, Teacher Hanyu." Ikegaya Isamu first thanked Mu Yue, then explained:
"It's about the person I was set up with before. I arranged to take her out for a stroll this afternoon."
"Then why not pick a time when you don't have many classes?" Ueda Aya teased.
"I'd like to, but she said the only free time she has lately is this afternoon." Ikegaya Isamu said. If he had a choice, he wouldn't want to trouble Mu Yue, but Mu Yue was such a good person. Seeing him take a loss, Ikegaya Isamu felt embarrassed.
Ueda Aya had already given up on lecturing Ikegaya Isamu. She genuinely felt that there would be no good outcome between him and that blind date.
Because if the other party really cared, they would definitely think about Ikegaya's situation instead of making him trouble his colleagues.
"Good luck, Teacher Ikegaya." Muyue said with a smile. The busier, the better — let him rack up more rewards.
"Thank you so much, Teacher Hanyu. If it works out, I'll treat you to the most expensive restaurant in Konoha." Ikegaya Isamu expressed his gratitude, then hurried out of the office. He needed to go home, change clothes, and clean himself up.
"Wasn't I right last time, Teacher Hanyu? If you keep acting like this, everyone will come asking you to substitute whenever they have no time," Ueda Aya sighed.
"Helping others is a joy, and colleagues should support each other." Muyue said with a serious expression.
"You're just too nice. It's easy to get taken advantage of." Ueda Aya lamented.
Muyue smiled without speaking and began practicing calligraphy.
Watching Muyue's earnest expression while practicing calligraphy, Ueda Aya couldn't help feeling that the gap between people was huge. If Ikegaya Isamu were even a quarter as excellent as Muyue, he wouldn't still have never been in a relationship by now.
When it felt like the time was about right, Muyue put down his brush, tidied his desk, and headed to Class 4-2 for his lesson.
As Muyue reached the classroom door, the bell rang.
"Teacher Ikegaya has something to attend to, so I'll be substituting for today's afternoon ninjutsu class," Muyue explained as he stepped onto the podium.
He swept his gaze across the classroom; everyone was present except for Obito.
About three minutes into class, Obito rushed into the classroom. Seeing Muyue on the podium, Obito was dumbfounded.
He had been running too fast — and now he saw Teacher Muyue in his classroom. That was Obito's thought at that moment.
For a split second, he even wondered if he had walked into the wrong classroom, but seeing his familiar classmates, clearly he hadn't.
Not bothering to catch his breath, Obito quickly began to explain:
"Teacher Muyue, I didn't mean to be late. I met an old lady on the way..."
"Met an old lady and wasted time helping her," someone in the class finished his sentence before Obito could, sparking a burst of laughter.
"I'm serious! If I had known that Teacher Muyue would be teaching this afternoon, I'd have come half an hour early," Obito continued to explain.
He was afraid Muyue would think he wasn't studying hard and would stop teaching him.
"Go back to your seat." Muyue nodded, acknowledging Obito's explanation, then added,
"You can't be late for Teacher Ikegaya's class either."
Ninjutsu classes at the ninja academy start from the first year, but only three techniques are taught: the Transformation Technique, the Clone Technique, and the Substitution Technique.
Although spending several years learning only a few basic ninjutsu might seem like a waste of time, it actually makes sense — after all, geniuses like Shisui are rare.
For those whose ninja career peak is only chunin, mastering these three techniques is no easy feat, and there are other subjects as well.
Even though they had attended countless lessons on the Three Basic Techniques, Muyue's ninjutsu class still managed to impress them.
"So that's how it is… no wonder my clone didn't look like me before." A student immediately made progress.
"I really hope Teacher Ikegaya has more things to do in the future, so we can have more of Teacher Muyue's classes." Another student jokingly voiced his true thoughts.
Everyone around murmured in agreement.
Muyue didn't comment on that; he simply marveled inwardly at how useful the system's skills were.

【Reward Obtained: Lightning Release: Lightning Clone】
Instantly, techniques for lightning chakra nature transformation and various experiences with Lightning Release: Shadow Clone flooded Muyue's mind.
Although it wasn't an exceptionally powerful jutsu, unlocking another chakra nature felt pretty good to Muyue — after all, he'd already gotten a reward that morning.
For the next half month, Muyue kept up that rhythm: when no one asked him to substitute, he stayed in the office researching ninjutsu theory; when someone did, he never refused. At home, he taught Shisui, Obito, and the others, and trained his own chakra.
Perhaps because the quality of his substitute classes was too good, the students he taught all wanted to take his classes again. Coupled with Muyue's good rapport among the teachers, he quickly became a well-known teacher at the academy.
The students all thought Muyue was the perfect teacher: interesting in his lectures, gentle in manner, and handsome in appearance.
The teachers also felt Muyue was a sincere and kind-hearted colleague.
As the center of all this talk, Muyue didn't think much of it — he was just maintaining the persona he wanted to establish. Right now, he was wondering why the masked ninja standing in his yard had come.
Sorry everyone, something came up, so the update is late.
