The world has been in chaos for over three hundred years. The Central Plains never cease their songs and dances, foreign tribes sharpen their weapons and ready their steeds, sword‑immortals roam the jianghu, and famed generals suppress the ten directions. Five years remain before the great cataclysm, and the young apothecary Li Guanyi murdered someone on a rainy night.

At last he opened his eyes and beheld this age of turmoil. Beneath the horse hooves lie endless piles of white bones—renowned generals, beauties, jianghu heroes, divine weapons, common folk, and Buddhist images. Since antiquity, only fields of white bones and yellow sand have been seen!

Scholars are trampled by iron hooves; Buddha’s long spears sweep them down! I, the humble monk Li Guanyi, invite this world to its death!
