Chapter 642: The Mysterious Swordsman!
Locke and Nami left Cocoa Village and continued toward their next destination. They traveled east along the coastline, hoping to find some useful intelligence.
Soon, they arrived at Loguetown. This was a small town focused on fishing and trade; the population was sparse, but it was very peaceful.
"It looks very peaceful here," Nami said. "I wonder if we can find the information we need."
"We can only try," Locke said. "We have to find some clues."
They began to ask around the town, attempting to find some useful intelligence. Soon, they heard of a person named Zoro; he was a swordsman possessing astonishing sword skills, often haunting the nearby mountains.
"This person looks quite good," Locke said. "Perhaps he can give us some help."
Thus, Locke and Nami began to head toward the mountains to search for Zoro. They passed through dense forests and steep mountain paths, finally arriving at an ancient shrine.
In the shrine, there was a giant stone statue with some mysterious symbols carved onto it. Locke and Nami felt that this place was very mysterious, as if it hid some important secrets.
"Looks like we came to the right place," Nami said, taking out her Clima-Tact.
"We have to be a little careful," Locke said, beginning to look around, attempting to discover any danger.
Just as they were preparing to continue exploring, a figure suddenly descended from the sky, crashing onto the ground in front of them.
This person was tall, wearing black clothing, and holding a giant sword in his hand. A trace of a contemptuous smile appeared on his face; he looked very arrogant.
"Who are you? What business do you have coming here?" the person asked.
"We are pirates," Locke replied. "We heard you are a very formidable swordsman, and we hope to obtain your help."
"Oh? Pirates?" the person sneered. "I don't know if you've come seeking help or seeking death."
Having said that, he suddenly launched an attack at Locke and Nami. His sword danced, attacking the two rapidly, putting them in a very passive position.
Locke and Nami reacted immediately; she took out her staff, attempting to restrain this swordsman. But this swordsman's strength was very powerful, and his sword style was exceptionally fierce; it could not be restrained by Nami's attacks at all. ===== CHAPTER 644 =====
