"I heard you are one of the most powerful pirates, is that right?" Luffy asked.

"I am a person who once possessed the legendary treasure." Rayleigh said slowly.

"Treasure?" Locke asked in surprise.

"Yes, the legendary 'One Piece'." Rayleigh said, "But that is no longer important."

Rayleigh began to teach Luffy and Locke, letting them learn how to control Haki. Haki is a powerful energy that can enhance a pirate's strength. Luffy and Locke began to train continuously; they needed to master this energy to better protect their partners and complete their tasks.

"Mastering Haki requires continuous training and cultivation." Rayleigh said, "You need to use it continuously in battle to gradually master it."
