Their attacks intertwined, forming a sea of fire. Locke knew this was a life-or-death duel, and he had to go all out to be able to defeat the assassin.

He launched his final strike, and a stream of raging flames soared into the sky, sending the assassin flying. The assassin's body slammed heavily against the ground, and the entire hall was shaken violently.

"You have already lost," Locke said, "Put down your weapon."

The assassin struggled to stand up, his body already covered in wounds. But his gaze still revealed firmness and determination.

"I will never put down my weapon; I am a member of the Assassin Organization, and I fight for them!" the assassin roared.

Locke felt a sharp pain in his chest; he knew this battle was unavoidable. He and the assassin engaged in fierce combat again, their attacks and defenses completely merging into one, forming a unique aesthetic.

Their sword dance turned into an interweaving of flames and darkness, illuminating the entire hall. Locke felt the power continuously surging within his body; he knew he had to go all out to be able to defeat this enemy.

"I will not retreat` ˇ!" Locke shouted loudly, "For the sake of those I cherish, I must fight to the end!"

He launched his final ultimate move—Flame Sword Waterfall. His swordsmanship turned into a giant waterfall of flames, instantly submerging the assassin within it.

Raging flames shrouded the entire hall, heat waves surged, and the firelight reflected on Locke's face. He felt that his body had reached its limit, but he did not stop; instead, he launched attacks even more crazily.

Suddenly, the flames and darkness disappeared simultaneously. Locke was surprised to find that the assassin had disappeared, leaving behind only a pile of black ashes.

Locke panted heavily; he knew this battle had ended. He slowly sheathed his Flame Sword, his body becoming exhausted.

"Finally... it's over," he muttered to himself.

Suddenly, he felt a wave of dizziness, and his body began to sway. He barely supported his body, but still fell to the ground.

"What's going on?" He felt his consciousness beginning to blur.

He heard footsteps, and someone was walking toward him. He tried hard to open his eyes and saw a familiar figure.

"Zoro?" he muttered to himself.

"That's right, it's me," Roronoa Zoro walked to Locke's side, "Are you okay?"

"I... seem to be a bit weak," Locke said.

"¨「 The battle you just had was truly brilliant," Zoro praised, "I didn't know you had grown to this point."

Locke smiled; he knew that in front of Zoro, he would always be a disciple. But he also knew that he had gained a lot in this battle, not only an improvement in his own strength but also a deeper understanding of his own heart.

"Thank you, Zoro," Locke said, "Without your help, I might still be an immature child."

"Don't be so polite," Zoro patted Locke on the shoulder, "We are brothers after all; helping each other is a matter of course."

Locke nodded; he knew that by Zoro's side, he would never feel lonely.

"Then, what should we do next?" Locke asked.

"We must leave here quickly; the Assassin Organization will send more people to hunt you down," Zoro said, "I have already arranged a ship, and we can take it to leave this place." ===== CHAPTER 717 =====
