Chapter 986

The day after the project was successfully approved, Su Xinghui and Lu Xiaoya took a plane back to Jiangcheng. Of course, taking a plane on a business trip was a bit over the standard, but Su Xinghui said he had to rush back to report the situation of running the project to Vice Governor Lu, so You Junwen agreed to his request to take a plane back, and Chen Hongfu even said to let Su Xinghui take the plane ticket to the county for reimbursement.

However, Su Xinghui couldn't do this. If he took the plane ticket to the county for reimbursement, someone would definitely twist their mouth and say that he exceeded the standard for reimbursement. Although he was not afraid, he saved trouble.

Therefore, only Su Xinghui and Lu Xiaoya took the plane back. Others honestly took the train back to Jiangcheng. The train in this era was really too slow, with a maximum speed of no more than 80 kilometers, stopping at every station, and some stations stopped for half an hour. The road from Jingcheng to Jiangcheng was more than 1,000 kilometers, and it took nearly twenty hours.

When Su Xinghui arrived in Jiangcheng, it was still past ten o'clock in the morning. Yu Ruizhi had already called He Weidong and asked him to drive to pick up Su Xinghui.

Su Xinghui and Lu Xiaoya took the Mercedes-Benz driven by He Weidong and returned to the Provincial Party Committee compound. After sending Lu Xiaoya home, Su Xinghui came to Lu Zhenghong's office to report the specific situation of this trip to Jingcheng.

When getting off the plane, Su Xinghui had already called Lu Zhenghong, so when Su Xinghui arrived, Lu Zhenghong was already waiting for him in his office.

Seeing Su Xinghui arrive, Lu Zhenghong's secretary Li Shanlin quickly stood up and led Su Xinghui into Lu Zhenghong's office with a smile. He had been Lu Zhenghong's secretary for almost a month, and now he had entered the role, and he was more natural in doing things.

Lu Zhenghong already knew about the successful project approval of Changjiangdaqiao. As soon as Su Xinghui arrived, he was refreshed and asked, "How is it? You went for almost half a month this time, are you tired?"

Li Shanlin brewed a cup of tea for Su Xinghui. Su Xinghui thanked him. He nodded to Su Xinghui with a smile, then exited the office and closed the door from the outside.

Su Xinghui said to Lu Zhenghong, "Uncle Lu, it's not hard. This time Yu Ruizhi and Yu Ruoqiu helped a lot, I didn't run much."

Lu Zhenghong nodded and said, "Your project has been successfully approved, and the site selection problem of the highway should also be solved. You can do some preliminary preparation work now. All work must be connected well, and try not to have gaps, so that work efficiency can be maximized."

Lu Zhenghong was famous for his work efficiency when he was mayor. His work style was vigorous and resolute. Su Xinghui naturally understood this, and he nodded and said, "Uncle Lu, don't worry!"

Lu Zhenghong smiled and said, "I heard that you ate a few meals at Elder Yu's house this time? Elder Yu has a good impression of you?"

Su Xinghui said, "I ate three or four meals at Elder Yu's house. I get along with Elder Yu quite well."

Lu Zhenghong said, "Your opportunity is not small. Although I have also visited Elder Yu, I have not had the opportunity to eat at his house."

Su Xinghui said, "Elder Yu just treats us as grandchildren."

Lu Zhenghong said solemnly, "If Elder Yu didn't like you, it would be impossible to keep you for a meal. You should cherish this opportunity."

Su Xinghui nodded and said, "I know."

Lu Zhenghong said again, "I also saw the article you published in the internal reference. Was it published by Brother Yan'an for you?"

Su Xinghui said, "Yes, it was Uncle Yu who asked me to write this article."

Lu Zhenghong said, "This article is very well written. It writes out all your work ideas, and proves that you can not only be pragmatic, but also be empty, not only have practical work ability, but also have great attainments in theoretical research. Very good. In the future, you should write more theoretical articles so that leaders can understand your comprehensive ability."

Su Xinghui knew that this was Lu Zhenghong's heart of love, pointing the way for his future development.

The principle of our party's training of cadres, if you want to become a frontier official who can take charge of one side, your political experience must be rich. You must have both the experience of governing in the local area and the experience of working in government agencies. You must have both the experience of engaging in economic construction, that is, working in the government, and the experience of party affairs work.

In terms of leadership ability, it is even more comprehensive. You need to have outstanding performance in all aspects of work experience, and you must also have deep attainments in theoretical research. This is to have a few skills in both pragmatic and empty aspects.

Therefore, those frontier officials, the governors and party secretaries of a province, generally have very rich work experience and need to have outstanding performance in various work positions. And if you want to become a top-level leader, you almost must have the work experience of a governor or party secretary.

Su Xinghui is only in his twenties, and Lu Zhenghong has taught him so earnestly, asking him to develop his multi-faceted abilities, which proves that Lu Zhenghong has high expectations for him.

Su Xinghui was startled and said, "I understand, thank you Uncle Lu!"

Lu Zhenghong nodded with a smile and said, "Why are you so polite to me? Come home for dinner at noon today."

Su Xinghui nodded and said, "Okay. By the way, Uncle Lu, the position of County Mayor of Shangjun County seems to be vacant again, right?"

Lu Zhenghong nodded and said, "Yes, do you have any ideas?"

Su Xinghui said, "This time in Jingcheng, Executive Vice County Mayor Chen Hongfu of Shangjun County performed very well. He worked hard and complained little. He played a big role in the successful project approval this time. I think he is quite suitable for the position of Shangjun County Mayor."

Lu Zhenghong laughed dumbly. Su Xinghui himself is still a town mayor, and he is already worried about the arrangement of the county mayor.

If it were someone else, Lu Zhenghong would definitely suspect that he was speaking well for Chen Hongfu, whether he had received any benefits from Chen Hongfu, or had any ulterior motives. However, it was Su Xinghui who said this to him, and Lu Zhenghong had no suspicion.

After getting along for so long, Su Xinghui is almost Lu Zhenghong's son-in-law. Lu Zhenghong naturally knows Su Xinghui's character. He knows that Su Xinghui is not a greedy person. He does everything starting from work.

To be honest, Lu Zhenghong knows the leadership team of Shangjun County quite well. He also knows about Chen Hongfu, and he also thinks Chen Hongfu is very suitable to be the Shangjun County Mayor.

In fact, Chen Hongfu's ability may not be very strong, but he has one advantage. He was promoted by Zhang Kaishan. If he serves as Shangjun County Mayor, he will definitely cooperate with Zhang Kaishan. He will not change the established policies and guidelines of Shangjun County. As long as the economic policies of Shangjun County continue, the development speed will not slow down.

However, Lu Zhenghong sighed in his heart, and then said to Su Xinghui, "Xinghui, Comrade Chen Hongfu is indeed very suitable for the position of Shangjun County Mayor, but the candidate for Shangjun County Mayor has already been decided."

Su Xinghui was a bit surprised. The candidate for Shangjun County Mayor has already been decided? Who would this be? But it is conceivable that this must be a person with a very strong background.

Everyone knows how good the current situation in Shangjun County is. Being a county mayor here, the political achievements are not high, and you don't have to work hard. You can earn credit while lying down. Who doesn't want to be this county mayor?

Once you become the Shangjun County Mayor, it is equivalent to embarking on the fast track of your official career. As long as you have that qualification, I am afraid you will break your head. With so many people grabbing, Su Xinghui originally thought that the position of county mayor would not be decided so quickly this time, so he helped Chen Hongfu fight for it when he came back this time. Unexpectedly, this position was decided so quickly.

Being able to cut a path in such a mess and directly step on the throne of Shangjun County Mayor, can this person's background be bad?

Su Xinghui asked, "Uncle Lu, can you tell me? Who is this county mayor?"
