I ignored him, kept walking toward the school gate, and he followed behind me.

When we reached the school gate and walked out of school, Shangguan Yun snatched the bag from my hand and said, "Let me take you home."

I just glanced at him and didn't refuse.

We walked slowly, and when we reached the intersection to hail a ride, I suddenly said to him, "I don't want to take a vehicle; let's just walk back. If I get tired, I'll take a vehicle."

After hearing my words, Shangguan Yun hastily withdrew his hand and smiled at me.

Just like that, we walked slowly; at first neither of us spoke, and the atmosphere became somewhat awkward.

After walking for quite a while, Shangguan Yun saw a small convenience store, pulled me in and said, "You're thirsty, right? Wait here."

He ran in, quickly came out with two bottles of nutrition drink, handed me one and said, "Here."

"How do you know I like drinking this?" I asked after taking it.

"I thought it wouldn't be hard to figure out; just drink up. Actually I used to dislike this drink, but gradually I've come to like the nutrition drink. You're right—Sprite is bad for the stomach, too stimulating; it's better to drink something mild like fruit milk. Actually I've found this isn't hard to drink either." Shangguan Yun muttered in my ear as we walked.
