100. Chapter 100: Lishui Trip 1
The coming days were rather dull; occasionally Haohua would send me messages, but I never replied to him.
Haohua's messages merely talked about some trivial matters; sometimes he would ask if I had eaten, sometimes he would talk about his situation and living conditions, but I never dared to reply to his messages—our feelings have been stalled for so long that I don't know what mindset to use to face him. During these many days we have never been in contact; we have both changed, as people always do, and now I don't understand him, just as he doesn't understand me.
Although I never replied to his messages, he still sent me messages from time to time, never stopping.
He simply never called me again, and I don't understand his thoughts or intentions.
In these messages he never revealed his feelings toward me—whether affection, longing, or even friendship. He just kept sending me messages; sometimes I admired his perseverance, but if it were me, I surely couldn't have kept it up.
Sending some unanswered messages, but rather there has never been any message at all.
The National Day holiday is coming up; we can take a week off to stay at home, sleep in, and not have to get up at the crack of dawn.
Huiqing called me and invited me to hang out at her place during the National Day holiday; she told me she was renting a place outside—a single room that was cheap, convenient, and quiet.
It had been a while since I last saw her; I really missed her, and after thinking it over, since there was nothing to do staying home for seven days, I agreed.
Besides, I couldn't go on a trip like other kids during the National Day holiday—alas, my life hasn't reached that level yet—so I had no choice but to go play at Huiqing's place, which could also be called a trip, even though it's only a little over two hours from Longgang to Lishui.
Today is the last day I'll be staying at school; I'm excited and thrilled, and tomorrow the long vacation begins.
In the afternoon I couldn't focus on the lesson at all; whatever the teacher said, I just didn't absorb it.
Almost all the classmates were like that, planning how to spend this hard-won National Day holiday.
